Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
He laughed. "It shouldnt be too long," he said as he glanced at the leader's den. "Have you considered, once you've become a warrior, joining the Lunar Guard?"
"Im not sure I have what it takes. Not really even sure what they do" he admitted. He never really thought about becoming anything more than a typical warrior.
Moonpaw looked disappointed but nodded. "Awww okay." Since Mudkit wasnt interested, he decided to save the explanation of what they did. One of these days, I'll make it into the Guard.
He shook his head. "No, it's okay. You seem to have made up your mind already," he responded with a slight laugh. "Besides you still have to make it to an apprentice before anything else."
He shrugged. "I mean it would be cool experience but if I dont make the cut, I wont be too hurt, yaknow? I meant to ask you this earlier but how are your siblings doing?" he asked.
Mudkit nodded in understanding. "They are fine. We are all crowded in the nursery though" he chuckled, his whiskers twitching in amusement. "But other than that, they are fine. Thank you for asking!"
"Yeah, sure. Of course. Ill go get her." Mudkit rose to his paws and bounded in the direction of the nursery where Silvershine was playing moss ball with her kits. Mudkit approached and meowed something to her that was unreadable.
Silvershine looked from Mudkit to Moonpaw and back again. She smiled warmly at her kit and gave him an effectionate lick between the ears before padding over to Moonpaw. "Hi, Moonpaw! Mudkit said you wanted to speak with me" her voice was just as soothing and comforting as it always was as she settled down in front of the Moonclan apprentice and looked expectantly at him with admirable blue eyes.
Moonpaw returned the smile to the queen before it faded into a stern look. "What do you think MoonClan should do about Flame? I mean as long as shes out there, she poses a threat. Mudkit was telling me that she may just be misunderstood, but I was curious about what you thought about it."
Silvershine looked at Mudkit surprised but she guessed he deserved to know. "My dear, we have tried to talk to Flame but...well...she poses more of a threat now than ever. If we make one wrong move, say one wrong thing, she will burn Moonclan to the ground." She sighed and looked at her paws. "I believe the more time she spends with Primal Instinct, the darker she is becoming. Im not sure if there is anything we can do anymore..." She then looked back up at Mudkit and tilted her head slightly, "what all did she say to you?"
Moonpaw shook his head. "Nothing more than you've told me," he replied quickly. He didnt want to get Mudkit in trouble for anything she told him. "So do you really think shes beyond help at this point?"
(Sorry, I dont know what I was thinking when i replied lol! It mean to say "she then looked up at Moonpaw and tilted her head slightly, 'what all did she say to you?'" Meaning what did Flame say to him before Silvershine got there)
(Ohhhh haha, I'll adjust the answer. Disregard the last message)
*Moonpaw shook his head. "Flame didn't say anything other than how much she hated Moonclan. When I asked why she did, she was very vague about it. I assume-," he paused for a moment before shaking his head. "No she didn't tell me anything else," he replied. "Does Primal Instinct hate MoonClan or is it just her holds such a resentment?"
Silvershine frowned, "as far as I know, Flame is the only one out to get back at Moonclan." Silvershine sighed, her eyes sorrowful. "She never used to be this way. Back when she was a kit, she was so full of energy and so full of hope. She wanted to be clan leader, in fact." A small chuckled came out of the grief, "Flamingkit was what we called her and her sister Pinekit used to promise each other that if one ever became leader, the other would be made their deputy. I was so proud of them but I guess the power went to her head."
The silver tabby queen sighed again, pausing for a moment before continuing. "When she reached the age of an apprentice and vegan her training, her battle skills were extraordinary. She was pulling off battle techniques that took moons of practice. At first, I was proud. But then I began to notice a darkness inside. What I didnt know was that Flamingpaw, her name at the time, couldnt hunt and the other apprentices began to tease her and make her feel like she couldn't care for her clan properly. All she wanted her whole life was become leader of Moonclan like her ancestors. I guess she felt like she would never be good enough. When she receieved her warrior name, Flamingsoul, she was very dangerous. She stood up there with her siblings with a cold blooded glare and a muscle toned body. She was not the same kit that I knew in the nursery. Soon after that, she left us. Went to join Primal Instinct and has been causing problems ever since. I still catch her scent near the border and sometimes over it. I like to think she wants to come back but I think in reality, she is scouting for our weakest points. I sent Pinesong out to look for her once. Both of them were so close. But each time Pinesong came back, it wasnt good. I was hoping Pinesong could bring her back but it never seemed to work out. Pinesong still goes to the border every now and then to reason with her or see her but each time, Flame grows darker and darker." Silvershine looked away, "Flame has taken lives already. One of the first steps to becoming part of Primal Instinct is to kill someone. So, I know she has murdered. Primal Instinct do it all the time. Now that Pinesong is expecting kits, Im worried one day when they meet at the border, Flame is going to hurt her. I'm hoping the deep connection they share will keep Pinesong and her kits safe..."
The tom looked down and frowned. Jeez. "That must have really been rough for her to be bullied like that just for something as simple as not being able to hunt. I mean not everyone is good at everything. Why would they do such a thing?" Moonpaw couldnt imagine being treated like a weak link just because he couldnt do something. He looked back to Silvershine, but looked away again. He didnt want to accuse her of anything, but he felt she could have prevented this if she tried...harder? He shook the thoughts from his head.
"Maybe they were jealous? I mean, she is a direct decendant of some of the finest Moonclan members, including Moonstar themself. She was also the greatest fighter I have ever seen. And I was once a loner. I have seen many battles and many different techniques but hers were outstanding. She would also come up with some of them herself!" Silvershine looked at Moonpaw, and as if reading his mind she answered, "I wish I could have done more for her. I never knew what was happening until the day she left when she finally told us everything that happened. If I would have known, I would have tried harder. I love her, still. Even if she is the way she is. She will always be my kit."
Admittedly, he a little jealous of the she-cat and how her mother described her. Moonpaw wasnt a bad apprentice himself but he wasnt better off than his peers were. "I don't know her like any of you do, but I honestly believe she can be helped. I could be going about this the wrong way altogether but I really think that." You're being too optimistic, Moon. "A cat with her skill set could be so beneficial to MoonClan right now..." He paused and glanced back toward Silverstar's den. Although it may be a bad idea. It may bring her into conflict with Silverstar if she is as ambitious as Silvershine says she is.
"No, Moonpaw. I do not want you trying to fix this. Flame is very dangerous. She can kill you." Silvershine rose to her paws. "I mean it, Moonpaw. There is nothing we can do. We have tried and she doesnt want to be helped." The silver tabby queen turned and padded back toward her kits who were continuing the game of moss ball without her.
