Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. Moonpaw smiled at the tom. "I was just out explor-" he glanced over to Silvershine and remembered what she said "-hunting with your mother," his eyes flitted around nervously. Hes still young so maybe he wont catch on.
(lol of course. Well, I don't know if you know about the "Moonstar" family tree and what happened to Flame but Flame, who used to be Flamingsoul, and her siblings are related to the original Moonstar through their father, Leopardblaze and ever since, Flame has always wanted control over Moonclan. Especially after the bullying she went through as an apprentice. When she got her warrior name and Sunclan took over Moonclan and handed them over to Dayclan, she refused to be apart of that because she felt Moonclan was too weak. She had ambitions and that was around the time when Moonclan was basically without a leader and it almost went into storage and there was very little activity in the clan.
So Flame met a Primal Instinct cat, before they left the territory, and he told her how much powerful Primal Instinct was and told her that with hard work and the right stuff, she could move up in the ranks easily. But Flame wanted control over Moonclan or to get back at Moonclan for the pain they caused her and to show them that she was not to be messed with. So she made friends with Frozenfire from Nightclan who is a lot like her and is greedy for power and they were part of the attack on Moonclan to steal Burningstar's kits back and bring them to her.
Now that Flame helped get the kits back, she is on Burningstar's good graces for now and is waiting for the right moment to get the whole of Nightclan to be on her and Frozenfire's side and kick Burningstar out. Then Flame will be deputy and wants to go after Moonclan but with all of the different leaders we've had, its been hard setting everything up, especially since we are still early in the plot. Right now, Flame is still with Primal Instinct but has made an alliance with Nightclan and has been visiting Nightclan a lot and wondering around the borders, hoping to get a leverage on Moonclan. So I think that is it lol! You should be all caught up by now. But eventually, Burningstar will return and kill Frozenfire and exile Flame from Nightclan. And I'm not sure if I want her to go back to the league or if I should make her realize that this isn't who she really is and ask to rejoin Moonclan even though she betrayed them. The ended is still a working progress but I think that is all )
Mudkit smirked, "You were exploring, weren't you?" He settled down next to Moonpaw, his eyes wide. "What did you find? Obviously you found something, it's written all over your face!"
He glanced around one last time to make sure no one was watching them before he spoke. "I almost died." he said in a dramatic fashion. "Well I while I was out, I ran into a Primal Instinct cat, who apparently doesn't like MoonClan for some reason. I didnt ask why that was but she almost killed me!" Moonpaw realized how loud he was and quickly put a paw over his mouth. "Oops." he whispered. "But yeah, your mom saved me at the last moment. Those cats are really scary."
He looked up, trying to get the image of the she-cat then looked back down at Mudkit. "She was big and I mean big. She also hard red fur too." Noticing the change of expression on the tom's face he asked, "What's wrong?"
"Yeah. She was part of Silvershine's first litter. Foxsin, Darktwilight, Flamingsoul, Pinesong, and Timberfrost. Those are my older siblings. Unfortunately, Flamingsoul turned against Moonclan and joined Primal Instinct with the new name, Flame" he explained. "She's extremely dangerous. Im surprised she let you go."
"That only happened because your mom was there," he added. "If she hadn't, I surely would have been held prisoner to 'get back at Moonclan' for some reason. Do you know why shes so against our clan?"
Mudkit shrugged, "I talked to Pinesong about it since they were really close but its always hard for her to talk about it. But I managed to find out that apparently Flame was bullied really bad in Moonclan and with her having several other siblings, she always felt second best. Also, Silvershine lost a kit at birth. Their sister, Silverblaze. They gave her a warrior name with the combination of my parents' names. Perhaps that had something to do with it too. But most say its because of pain and the ambition that was so strong, she couldnt control it. A darkness that took over and changed her into something shes not. At least, thats what Pinesong says." Mudkit felt bad for Flame. He had met her personally. "But honestly, I dont think Flame is as dangerous as everyone says she is. Yeah, she has killed cats in the past and belongs to a blood thirsty league but one day I met her in the forest. It could be because we were family but she saved me and my litter from a fox."
Moonpaw considered his response. If she was a truly bad cat, family wouldn't mean anything to her. So why? "Heres an odd question: what do you think of our new leader, Silverstar?" he asked out of curiosity. "Do you think she would talk to him about her...troubles if they were to meet?" Or would she try to kill him out of spite of Moonclan?
Mudkit thought for a moment, "maybe? I'm not sure. Shes unpredictable and I dont want to be responsible if Silverstar got hurt...I mean, Ive heard some horror stories about her but when I met her, I felt something different. I could tell she was dangerous but if she really was so bad, she wouldnt have saved us, right? I dont think she wants to hurt anyone. I just think she wants acceptance but is taking it the wrong way."
He tilted his head from side to side considering. "But why hasnt she got the help she needed? I mean, wouldnt it be better if she just talked to someone about it? Maybe she can make up for what's shes done and come back to Moon, to her family?" For some reason, although he didnt know her, apart from his encounter, he was getting emotional. From the way Mudkit described her, she didnt seem that bad.
"Pinesong has been trying to get a break through with her but she's so focused on revenge, it does nothing for her" Mudkit explained with a frown. "She may need to discover her mistakes and learn from them on her own. You can lead a kit to water but you cant make it drink."
"That is true." Moonpaw said. "Well I hope she gets the help she needs if she truly is just misunderstood." he added before he took a bite of his prey chewing it slowly in thought. Swallowing it, he asked Mudkit, "When are you going to be made an apprentice? You're getting a bit too big for me to keep calling you 'Mudkit'" he joked.
"Just stay out of her way, okay? Maybe times will change but for now, dont be poking your nose in a fox den" he warned him before his friend took another bite of his prey. Then he chuckled, "yeah, hopefully it should be soon! I'm tired of being stuck in the nursery! I'm over a little over six moons but with all of the leadership changes, I havent been promoted." A frown crossed his face. He really wanted to start his training already and be an apprentice. "Hopefully Silverstar will promote me soon. I dont want to be a full grown warrior still in training."
