Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"Then I'll come to EarthClan!" Even as she stepped back in retreated, he moved twice as close, refusing to let her go this time, his gaze intense. "I can't raise your family," he agreed, slowly, "or help with Ivorypaw. But I can be there to protect you, and I will. I won't let anyone hurt you." He knew he was coming on too strong, but his dream refused to leave him, and he knew if he didn't go with her she would die. Crownglass couldn't afford to let that happen.
(he's a normal guy looking for a normal family because his clan is not normal and not realizing that earthclan isn't much better cx)
Seablossom stared in shock. Come to EarthClan? "Ar-are you sure?" She was almost desperate for someone to help her, to watch over her. She hadn't ever really had that, especially not Peanutblossom once she was an apprentice. Could she have heard wrong? Maybe she was imagining it? Dreaming? Why would this tom, the one she'd fallen for, want to come to EarthClan. Would their thing--whatever it is they have--last that kind of move? They'd only ever met here, far away from either of their clans and the cats within them. Their own little hideaway, away from the rest of the world, secluded.
"I've never been more sure in my life," he replied solemnly. This was the right decision - it had to be. Every time he had suffered in SummerClan, every forlorn trip that guided his paws out here to her, the cold claws of his dream digging into his spirit, it all led him here, to her, to his future home. Crownglass did not believe in StarClan anymore: they had never helped his clan when they needed it most, only punished or ignored them, and he doubted their power. But he knew there must be something greater than coincidence drawing them together, be it divine or simply their own intentions. Whatever it was, who was he to stop it?
She was stumped, completely and truly stumped. It brought her to the ground, legs collapsing underneath her. Seablossom could only stare in amazement at the tom before her, truly awed that he'd want to stay with her of all cats. What was so special about her? But she'd take it. She'd be selfish just this once. "Okay," she choked back a sob, a smile trying to work its way on to her face through the fresh tears.
(omg it could be Hawksight, trying to do right by one of his granddaughters/great-nieces, even though his son, Peanut was a mess, maybe he can do right by her! Been pushing this tom that clearly cares about her towards her again and again)
"Okay?" A smile leaped onto his features and finally he could push his dream away, an awed, appreciative rumble in his throat. She was really fine with it? He had planned on joining even if she disagreed, his course was set, but knowing she approved made him much happier. "Well then... I'll need to talk to your leader and deputy, I suppose, but then we'll be warriors together. At the same time," he corrected hastily. "I can help you. And all that."
"Deputy, well, that would be me now." She grinned, this was really real, he was really serious about this. About moving to EarthClan, for her of all cats. "I guess I can let you in, and talk to Solsticestar for you." Seablossom was teasing now, excited at the prospect of him joining her in EarthClan. But what would Ivorypaw think? She already hated her now, what would she think when she brought yet another foreign cat into the clan? Oh no. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea. Panick started to seep back in. Dear StarClan, she couldn't keep disappointing her little sister.
Crownglass's jaw fell slack for a moment in awe; then he shook his head with an astonished laugh. "You got promoted? How could you not tell me, Dep? That's great news!" He bounded close and nosed her affectionately, his golden eyes sparkling. "Man, by the time we meet again you'll be the leader! Look at you go!" The ebony tom purred. Well, that certainly made this joining thing easier! "I suppose I'll have to talk to Ravenstar, make sure she doesn't worry that I got lost." His leader had been a little... paranoid, lately, and this probably wouldn't help, but he couldn't just walk away.
"Oh..." She thought he'd just go now. Why did he have to leave again? What if he didn't come back? Or died on the trip! Seablossom could feel the panic rising again. She couldn't lose this tom when she'd just gotten him back! But was...was this his way of saying he didn't really want to stay? He did say when they met again. So, was it all just a spur of the moment regret?
He didn't want to leave either, but he knew he had to. His brother had left unannounced all those moons ago, and he was forced to conclude him dead and buried -- until he had seen Quark passing by their borders one day, right as rain. He couldn't do that to his clanmates; he had to tell them. He sighed as he turned slightly away from her. "It won't take long," he promised, "just a quick journey there and back, maybe just to the border. Then I'll come right back, be here by tomorrow morning, maybe even tonight."
"I.." Was she really about to do this? "I can come with!" She'd never even left the territory before, except to one gathering a few moons back, but still. So why in StarClan's name was she thinking it now?
Because he was leaving her and she couldn't handle it. Seablossom could hear the words spoken, but knew neither of them had said them. They were true though. She'd leave, especially if it was just for the night.
But what about the kits? Who'd take care of them if you were gone? Who would? Solsticestar? No, she had enough on her plate. Not Ivorypaw either, the apprentice hated her new siblings. Maybe Applecrisp, but he didn't know anything about raising kits. But she was so desperate to go, to not leave his side again. She was torn between the two.
His eyes widened in surprise. He would be lying to say it hadn't crossed his mind, but he had dismissed the idea: he wasn't sure how his clanmates would react, and she wouldn't want to come anyway. But now... she wanted to tag along? He contemplated it for a long moment, but in the end, he decided he didn't care what his clanmates thought. He wouldn't be seeing them again, and they had never been his true family, and he wasn't ashamed of Seablossom anyway, of their friendship. There was nothing to hide, friends weren't even against the warrior code, and that was all.... this.... was. Remember that, Crownglass; that's all this is. Friends.
Looking up at her, the SummerClan warrior was smiling. "I would love to introduce you to my clan," he told her warmly. She was sharing her world with him; it was only fair he did the same.
"Rea..really?" He hadn't said no? Hadn't said it was best that she stayed here. Surely that meant he wanted her, wanted to stay. Right? That's how it worked, right? Seablossom chose not to question it as she sprung up and brushed against his side. "Okay! Lead the way then." Just for a moment, she didn't worry about her responsibilities to the clan and her family. Instead, she took a moment for herself. To quietly indulge in her love for the tom, even if he didn't know it.
The ebony tom purred. His dreams were the furthest thing from his mind now as he rose and led the way out of the cave. Then he stopped. Huh. He hadn't thought about what time it was out here; since they'd woken up, he assumed it was morning - but their dreams had woken them early, and it was still dark, before dawn. Crownglass couldn't help a little laugh. "Guess we'll be arriving before midday. Maybe we can catch everyone before patrols go out."
(by the way did you want to time skip through this part or invite uniq/simp to the thread)
(First week? Could have him finally meeting the kits? Though we could do a separate thread for that especially since I wanted to do one with those kits anyways.)
(Yeah we should probably do the kits on a different thread since this one is long and that could get confusing for them cx We could do first week though)
