Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"No, please, tell me what's wrong," he pleaded. He pulled her closer against him and held her fiercely. "I don't like seeing you so upset, Seablossom." What could have her so upset? She was a new warrior with a bright future ahead of her. Had something happened to those kits she watching? Had someone punished her for coming to see him? Had they gotten the wrong idea about their relationship? Had he?
Seablossom pulled away and wouldn't met his eyes. "He's dead." Her eyes were stained red from her tears and yet, they were filled with guilt and remorse for her siblings, family, and deceased father. Maybe if she'd been quicker, or hadn't spoken up? It wasn't until she'd said anything that things had taken a turn for the worst. He'd been listening to Walnutchime but had grown furious and aggressive when she'd spoken her piece. Ivorypaw hated her now, she hated herself, surely he would as well once he knew the truth. And to have been made deputy not but days later. It felt like she'd been rewarded for the inccident. "My father, Peanutblossom, he, he fell into the gorge during our meeting. And..and it was my fault."
He- dead? His eyes widened in shock. "Oh, Seablossom," he breathed, "I'm so sorry! If he fell, though, that's an accident. It wasn't your fault. It's just horrible, horrible luck." He nuzzled her, his words fiercely devoted. He would not let her keep feeling guilty for something outside of her control. Cats died, it happened, and sometimes there was nothing you could do.
"But it was my words that pushed him over! He was so angry that he attacked us in his rage and we pushed back!" Didn't he understand? They were at fault, Seablossom was at fault! Her father was dead bacuse she hadn't been understanding enough. She hadn't heard him out when he called out in rage about his deceased mate, how it was her litter's fault that Sealife had died. The deputy shook her head, "if I'd just kept quiet and allowed Walnutchime to handle it, he'd still be here. At least then Ivorypaw would still have her father." Even if he'd hardly been a father to the young apprentice-neary warrior she-cat. Now, her younger sister just dispiessed her where before she practically worshiped the ground that Seablossom walked on.
"Hey. Hey," he meowed sternly, pulling back to look her in the eye. "Don't say that. You were doing the right thing, you couldn't let him keep on like he was. He was one who got angry and fell back... you were just defending yourself. And you were trying to help. You did the best you could and nobody will blame you for that. Okay? You are not to blame."
He shook his head as he finished speaking. He couldn't let the guilt drag her down, he had seen what that could do to a cat, and he hated it. Combined with grief, it would be a fearful thing. "Shh. It's okay. You're okay."
Seablossom wasn't sure she believed him at the moment but maybe with time. At least he wasn't shunning her like she feared he would once he knew the truth. New tears welled up to her eyes as she buried herself back into his side. She was blessed to have him by her side, even if it was only for the time being. They would part ways soon. Him back to his clan, and her back to her grief and duties within EarthClan. She would be alone once more then but maybe he'd agree to met her again, though it was selfish of her to ask that of him.
He didn’t know how long they stood there, her face buried in his fur and his chin holding her protectively again. It could have been minutes or hours, the world was lost to him except for her and her tears and her guilt and her grief. He fell silent, giving up on easing her guilt; he was certain still she was not to blame for all of this, but he could only say it so many times in that moment, and once more would not make it true.
“You shouldn’t be alone,” he murmured softly in her ear. “Please... come back to our cave, let me look after you for a while.”
Their cave? It sounded nice to call it theirs. "Okay." Seablossom stepped back to allow him space to move. Sniffled once, then twice, before follwoing after the tom towards their cave. She almost wondered when it ahd become their and not just the cave. Did that mean more? Coudl she really hope it meant more? How she longed for this tom, even before the guilt started eating her alive. BUt coudl she really ahve any claim on him?
(We can time skip if you want or keep going When were you think about moving him to EC? Also does your thing ever do this thing where if you go back to fix a spelling or add a space it starts deleting letters from in front of it? Like you write gon to makepancakes and go back to fix it and it goes goneto make ancakes)
(you know funny enough ian mentioned having this problem friday night?? i have not had it happen)(& when do you want to time skip to? i was thinking if they spend the rest of the day/night hanging out he could end it by asking about moving to ec maybe claiming just as a friend if they don't share feelings by then. or, summer's plot rn is that they get crazy nightmares, so he could dream about her panic & run to join ec to be with her)
He pulled back from her carefully, then led her toward their cave, brushing close against her side for comfort. He wasn't sure what to say, so he said nothing; he just hoped his presence was enough to reassure her somewhat that she would not be alone. He was glad she let him hang around for a bit longer - he'd been worried she would take it the wrong way when it was just a gesture of care for her, but she didn't seem upset.
(Ok I was wondering if that was just me. It happens randomly and sometimes I just leave the misspelled words and no spaces cus I don't wanna rewrite it.) (Oh, she forsure has feelings for him she's smitten the with the foreigner lol but he can move there for his concern for her as his excuse. Either one is good with me. We can combine them in the sense that they end up falling asleep in their cave and he gets a nightmare about her panicking in which she's dreaming of her father's fall and that others are accusing her of it being her fault and that's his deciding factor for moving?)
Seablossom kept close to the tom, especially once they got close to the cave where the land narrowed. It seemed like forever ago that she was an apprentice and adoptive/surrogate mother to Ivorypaw, and escaping camp for a few hours to herself. To think that she'd been out just to have some time to herself could have changed her and brought someone new into her life for the better. But would it last? It was a fear that had nagged her since the second time they met up only a few weeks after they'd first met. And even now, she wondered if he too would leave her. Seablossom had lost her mother, father, grandmother, grandfather, aunts and uncles, clanmates, friends. Not all to death but most. She'd even lost the close relationship she once had to Ivorypaw as of late. Would he be next?
(Poor depressed Seablossom. I think I gonna make it to where she just has depression and anxiety now maybe separation anxiety instead of just anxiety. that means I gotta edit her bio though and I don;t wanna ugh)
(mood. and yeah i'm not sure why it happens, v strange)(ooh that combo sounds awesome c:< let's do it)
He guided her back to the familiar cave, relieved that he could still find it. The SummerClan warrior stood to the side while she settled in, hesitating: he wanted to curl up against her again, but was that taking it a step too far with a cat he shouldn't even know? He rocked on his paws, then shook his head and settled down beside her, their fur brushing but not moving any closer than that, leaving the option up to her. He wanted to be close; he cared about her deeply, she was his friend, and he didn't care if it was proper or not. "Try and get some sleep," he suggested to her softly. "I'll be right here."
(poor baby ;-; and mood, i need a new bio for him if he's moving clans)
Seablossom oo hesitated. He'd put distance between them. What did that mean? Maybe he didn't want to get to attached. Could she blame him? She'd all but helped murder her father, raised kits that weren't hers, was failing as the clan's deputy which she hadn't even told him yet that she'd been promoted too, and met up with a strange cat that she shouldn't know. They were breaking the warrior code just being here and wasn't that part of her family's problem? We're they cursed? Each generation had committed the same sin of love outside of their clan, her grandmother had been a medicine cat when she'd done and therefore broke the code twice. Lies, deceit, affairs. They were the backbone of her family, something she'd vowed to never be like, but look at her now. Falling for a tom from SummerClan that she rightfully should have attacked when she first saw him.
(Same. A good portion of my cats need an updated bio but I just don't wanna. Some I just rushed when I made them and now they have some character and personality and it's like I should go update/edit that but I don't wanna I'm looking at you Flawedperspective, Seablossom, Spookbat,Devilhorns,)
He wasn't planning on falling asleep; he wanted to stay up and watch over her, to make sure she was doing okay, to be there for her. All too soon, though, a darkness as heavy as his ebony coat fell over his gaze, and he slipped into a restless slumber.
Crownglass stood alone, his paws nearing the edge of the massive chasm behind him, and when he glanced over the edge he sucked in a breath at the perilous fall awaiting him. Dirt scattered under his paws as he scrambled away, his heart switching to overtime when he heard pawsteps nearby and a thick enemy scent wafted through the air. He dove for the sparse cover available to him and wiggled into it, grateful his dark pelt was disguised some by the thick leaves, though he still felt starkly obvious. This is why you don't cross the border, you fool, he hissed to himself. He cast a quick glance outside, wondering if he could escape, when he saw who was in front of him. Seablossom, and a few cats he didn't know. His head cocked, he crept closer.
"Oh hey, look at this," mused a tom Crownglass didn't recognize. He glanced casually over the edge of the cliff like it was nothing, flicking a pebble over with his forepaw. "Isn't this where you killed your father, Seablossom?"
Crownglass felt a rush of rage that drowned out her response, if she made any, but he could see from the cruel glint in her clanmate's eyes that he wasn't giving up easily. He wasn't the only one, either: the other members of the patrol joined in on the harsh teasing, the accusations, and his hackles rose.
"Look at you, pathetic," scoffed the tom. He backed Seablossom against the cliff so her paws nearly slipped off. "Honestly, you should have been the one thrown down there, not him. Don't worry, we can remedy that now---" He was cut off as Crownglass leaped forward, snarling, and knocked him off his paws. They wrestled at the edge of the cliff, claws scrabbling and hissing curses at each other. Seablossom growled and then yelped, and he glanced up to see the other warrior had attacked her and was dragging her toward the cliff. No! Taking advantage of his momentary distraction, his opponent kicked him hard, and the breath was knocked out of his lungs. The SummerClan warrior choked as the shove sent him rolling, balancing on the edge... another push, and then he was falling, tumbling toward the bottom of the cliff with Seablossom alongside him...
The ebony tom yowled as he woke up, his paws thrashing as he staggered to his paws, eyes dilated, teeth bared, shaking like a leaf.
(Writing bios is roughhhh. Maybe re-writing is easier but idk. Hey at least you've made a dent in those so far cx)
(Your struggling with bios, I'm struggling with replies, wanna trade? I mean look you did an awesome job and I'm about to give a crappy reply in return. I apologize now for its cringeworthiness and peotry feel idk why that's been a thing for me lately I haven't even read any poetry)
Seablossom found sleep difficult due to nightmares having plagued her for days now. Now would be no different. She tossed and turned, breath coming in pants as the nightmare took hold, giving her no true rest. Cats she didn't even know, their faces hidden by shadows, accused her, tormented her. They knew and understood the truth. Tears streamed down her face, a cry on her lips, all while sleep still claimed her. She didn't even feel the other tom move when he awoke from his own nightmare, too caught up her the words her tormentors spoke even as she neared the edge of the gorge. The final push towards the land of the awake was her father's hate-filled voice and touch as she was shoved into the same gorge he now rested in.
Her eyes shot open, breath coming in pants and gasps, eyes dilated and unfocused. Her heart raced, her mind reeling from her dream. And yet, she couldn't find it in herself to dismiss their words. They'd all been right. Seablossom didn't deserve to even be alive when she was the cause of an innocent death. Who murdered their own parent? Who felt relief for a short moment after their death to be rid of them? To finally feel lighter, only to realize what had happened? Her father's words from her dream echoed in her mind again and again. What monster killed their father? What monster killed their father? What monster--!
(Also I've noticed a theme. Ambersky, Peanutblossom and now Seablossom have all had cross-clan love interests with two of them moving to EC at some point. Guess I better find Ivorypaw a cross-clan lover to keep with it lol)
(ooh replies are rough too but you know i'll take that trade cx and ahh thank you shush your reply is amazing)
His sides heaved for breath as he stared with confused eyes around the cave, taking it all in -- those dark walls that were not the sandy cliffs, the reassuring open maw of the cave not far from them, no open sky or rushing wind as he tumbled toward the ground. Slowly, his mind and heartbeat stuttering along in time, he felt the pieces fall into place. The fear and adrenaline slowly abated as he recognized he had been dreaming, just dreaming, vivid but just a dream; he wasn't falling, he was safe, he was shaken but he was okay. There were no taunting calls in his ears, no rash attacking other cats, just the quiet drip of water in the back of the cave and his own shuddering breaths and the twitching and gasping of another cat...
... he blinked rapidly, focusing in on the other cat in the den, the body that had fallen over the cliffs with him. Seablossom. She looked just as awful as he did when she jerked awake, and a distant part of his mind wondered if she had shared his dream. Was that even possible? Surely it wasn't, but then, he'd never had a normal dream that felt so real.
Crownglass shook his head, trying to still his beating heart, as he looked curiously and hesitantly over at the she-cat. "Seablossom?" he whispered, wary of startling her and becoming the target of a confused rage.
(Lies, total lies, all I hear are lies. My replies have been awful lately)
Seablossom stepped back, her body moving out of their den, away from the noise. She couldn't focus, but everything was clearing slowly. "Cro-Crownglass?" Tears spring back to her eyes, renewed by the fact that he'd seen her break even further. Would it ever end? He knew the truth and yet he still stood by her. But he'd put space between them. Another step, stumbling over her own paws, back hitting the edge of the wall. Her overactive mind was reading far to into it, telling her he didn't want to be there, that he too knew that she shouldn't be there. Seablossom's eyes darted towards the den's entrance, to the gorge not far away. It'd be so easy. But the kits, they needed her, Ivorypaw needed her, the clan. Who would take care of everyone if she didn't do it? They had no one but each other and even then there was fighting among them. Ivorypaw blamed her, and soon the kits would too when they grew old enough to understand that she wasn't who they thought she was. She was a cold-blooded killer, their father's murderer. "I'm sorr-" Another step closer to the edge.
(And Peanutblossom and Seablossom both have blossom, so I'm tempted to say we do a Glasssblossom or Crownblossom or a kit named something blossom gotta keep it alive. But then I also thought why not Crownsea, Royaltempst, Baronshore, and Noblewaves. I'm just seeing this as a divine intervention that there needs to be two litters so that somethingblossom can be a thing and so can the ship name kit)
(ALSO, pps or whatever, poor Seablososm is starting to turn a little suicidal. this poor child. Completely unplanned. Let's turn that back towards the separation anxiety cus I was trying to develop that better with this thread but that's not working cus I KEEP GETTING SIDETRACK ug)
He watched her edge toward the exit with a growing panic, his golden eyes widening as he wordlessly shook his head in a silent plea. Don't go...
It wasn't exactly a secret to him that he was interested in the she-cat, more than he ought to be, but this sudden surge of nervous energy was new. Maybe it was his dream coursing still in the back of his mind, but his fear that she was leaving -- that she would just walk away, that he'd never see her again, or worse, that his dream was a prophecy waiting to come true -- was painfully intense, a ragged shot through his heart.
"Don't go," he blurted out, racing a few stumbling steps after her, helpless. "You were dreaming, it's just a dream, take a deep breath..."
(ooh i love those names, i'm down) (poor baby :c and good plan)
Seablossom froze, don't go? A dream? Could it really have been all a dream? Things felt so really, she'd heard the words before, not her father's but all the others. To think only moons ago, everyone thought poorly of Peanutblossom, now they blamed her for his untimely death. Breath. Just breath. Closing her eyes, she did just that, took a breath, tried to calm her racing heart. "Then why is it so real? Why?" Why her? Why, time after time, was she the one to fall apart in order to pull others together, and yet when she needs it all abandon her. Ivorypaw hates her, he uncle has ignored her, the clan dismisses her. Her father left her with far to much for a cat to handle, kits that aren't hers to raise and life to pull back together from frayed threads.
(We can do mates/kits whenever but I'm really loving this pair and this family in general but now I've gotta factor Deal in ugh lol. I put the kits' names in teh family tree so hopefully we don't forget them lol.) (Gonna strugle to do that, so expect her to be super clingy once he decideds to move EC)
Why? He didn’t know why. He couldn’t explain how his dream was so vivid; he couldn’t explain that they both had a nightmare the same night. But... looking at her now, he was terrified there was more truth to his dream than he wanted to believe. He swallowed hard. He couldn’t let that happen. He wouldn’t.
“It was just a dream,” he insisted again, stepping close, golden gaze intense and searching. His heart beat hard, but he was eager now, determined, not scared. “It was just a dream because I won’t let it come true.”
(i am too omg i am so into this thread)(yeah rip) (hey it’ll be new for him so i don’t think he’ll mind xD)
Her eyes shot open! What? He..he would do what? "How? How can you say that? Your all the way in SummerClan, your not here! You don't have to hold your family together, raise your newest siblings, somehow get through to Ivorypaw!" She was frustrated, ferious. How dare him try and promise something like that. He couldn't make that promise, it had already come true. Seablossom could feel tears coming to her eyes, blinding her. She took another step back towards their-the dens' entrance. "You don't understand that it's not a dream."
(they're awful lol but so cute together. He'll be like um is this normal yes maybe no? ok I'll just role with it. Look we have your siblings as children that's fine nothing weird about it lol)
