racerFaithHoneystorm it's time for Little's rescue! It had been a long day, but the stage was finally set with the new moon finally rising into the night sky. During the sunrise earlier that day, he left tufts of Littlecrow’s fur for Foxbane to find. Those tufts led her to a fake murder scene. Whether they figured that out or not, Omega did not care. What mattered was that he had plenty of time to do what had to be done, what he thought the next step in life was. For what he had planned, he needed no distractions. He didn’t even tell Innocentia where he was going, but she would find him eventually. She understood him better than he would like, and that was his own fault.
When Littlecrow woke, she would know that something wasn’t right and that her situation had become more dire. Aside from being hung upside down with leaves stuffed into her mouth secured by a band, the place smelled of only the city. Soot filled the air along with the smell of trash and decay. No other cat had been near the place in a long time. It was only her and two cats held in a cage together: a mother and her kit. As for the building itself, the only particularly special aspect of it was the broken glass dome over her head. Like all the other buildings on the city’s outskirts, it was falling apart. Every other window was broken and broken glass covered the floor. The hardwood had long since decayed and been eaten by mice. Trash littered the floor, but the area above where she was hanging had been cleaned. Directly below her had been dug out into a bowl with one end open. The open end fed into a channel which led to an arrangement of sticks. The bowl and the channel had been covered in a layer of plastic, but the area around the sticks had none. But near the arrangement of sticks she could see an assortment of medical supplies including bandages from the shack, deathberries, lavender, long blades of grass, sunflower seeds, and a green poultice. If she looked up she could see the system of vines and ropes that supported her, designed with plenty of redundancy. There was no quick escape from the ropes even if she could reach them with her teeth.
Then the door cracked open, and the sound of crashing waves filled the room. Omega entered carrying a flaming stick in his jaws. He cast a glance at the waking Littlecrow as he placed the flaming stick on the arrangement, and in an instant the fire roared to life. He hissed as the heat singed off the tips of his whiskers, but was otherwise unharmed by the rapid ignition. “Hmm… that kittypet told me that the stuff ignited fast. Hmpf. Should have taken him more seriously. But, that doesn’t matter. Now it’s just you and me, Littlecrow. And well, them, but we can ignore them for now.” He sighed as he pointed to the cage. He then took off a silver necklace and lay it down with all of his herbs before stirring the poultice with a claw. “I do hate how that name sounds. You are worthy of some respect. Not many cats would sacrifice him or herself to kill their own god. Even fewer would still have the will to live after what happened to you. If you don’t mind I’ll just call you something else. Not Littlestar, you’re no longer a leader, unfortunately.” He paused. “Maybe… Littlesun? I know, it’s unoriginal, but I truly believe in both its irony and embodiment of who you are. A little thing, with such courage. All the more fun for me to snuff out.”
He finally dipped all of his claws in the poultice and walked towards the dangling Littlecrow. “Despite us having spent moons together, I don’t think I’ve ever told you my story. I was the last Strategos of Toxicity before it became Absum Lux. I left before it did, and in that time I traveled around. Eventually I settled in SunClan for a moon. I left, obviously. Now, former High Priestess,” He took the leaves out of her mouth. “Tell me what SunClan does with its traitors. What would Foxstar do?”

Littlecrow's eyes slowly opened to take in the scene around them, the strange scents barraging her nose. The ash, trash, the scent of the other cats, the herbs. It was a lot to take in, as her eyes tried to adjust to the dim light of wherever she was being held. Her sides felt like the were on fire, while her ribs had been set and started to fuse back together, now her weight was held on them as she dangled from the ceiling making her strain against the vines that held her firmly in place. She tried to use the muscled of her stomach to pull herself upwards to free herself, but she wasn't strong enough in her current state.
The sound of Omega entering caught her attention, ears swiveling towards him as he approached. She wasn't sure wat he had planned but the more he spoke, the harder it was to deny the fear that was bubbling up within her. She tugged at the vines, even though it was rater clear that it was pointless. She wasn't the first cat Omega had kept confined, and it clearly showed. The vines had no give, and even if she was in perfect condition she doubted that she would have been able to free herself. As he removed the leafs, she spat the remnants of them out
"Keep going on this path, and I am sure you will find out" she growled
Even if she died, she would be avenged. She had many cats that loved her, they may not make it in time to save her life but they would know who it was that had killed her "They will find you Omega, and once they do there will be no mercy"
He didn't flinch when she spat the rest of the leaves out. He had no reason to, he was in complete control. "Oh, really? You've been saying that for the past few moons, and yet no one has come to save you. No one came to save you while you were in that horrid cave. No one is coming for you. No one will avenge you. It will be easier to start realizing that now." He scrunched up the plastic sheet and place a rock in the channel, effectively making a solid bowl. "As for what I was saying, Foxstar hunts you down. She did, and she didn't just kill me. No, she took my soul." He paused. "Let me say that again, the Sun God has my soul."
The tom smiled. "But he won't for much longer. As it turns out, old gods like the Sun God have countless enemies. And I've communed with them, and they've been beyond useful. Everything you see here is because of them. They're the enemies you didn't know you had, ones that are far worse than any Bloodystar." He coated his claws in the poultice again before striking her across the side of her neck. "Don't worry, this mixture won't kill you. It will merely lower your heart rate, an essential thing for what's to come." He left her side and slice the side of the mother's neck. "Meet Selaphiel, my daughter." He chuckled as he patted the she-cat's head. "I know, surprising. It surprised me too." With he opened the cage and dragged her out. With one swift blow to the head Omega knocked the she-cat unconscious. "It's time for a new question: what do you think I need to get my soul from everything before me?"

"They will come" Littlestar flinched, as he neck was sliced. Her blood flowing from her neck down the makeshift bowl below them slowly dripping and staining her silver fur crimson. She struggled in her bonds, on succeeding in splashing a little of her blood onto his face before he moved to drag the she-cat out of the cage and give her a similar slash "This isn't the answer Omega, you don't know what you are dealing with here" of course she knew the sun god had enemies. She had spent enough time in the Temple of The Sun that she had heard more about them than even Omega. If the Sun God had his soul, it must have been kept in the vault of souls. A place even most of the dead Janus dared not enter. She had been horrified when she found out what the vault was used for, and she had once asked what it would cost to retrieve a soul back from it.... It seemed as if she find out if the answer she had been given was true
"The price is to high" she struggled more against her bindings "That's your daughter Omega, you won't feel the pain now but you will when your soul gets returned. You need to stop this before it's to late" retrieving a soul wasn't a small task, the sacrifice for such a thing seemed almost unimaginable. She had been warned to never attempt something of this magnitude "You don't understand how these deals work, you are always the one that will get hurt in the end"
He had considered all these things, but he had come to this conclusion. His afterlife was simply in too much peril, and this was the only way he could fix it. "Then let me ask you: what choice do I have? You would never return my soul, if you even had the power. Bloodystar never would, or I would have turned you back over. That leaves me two options: suffer by burning for the rest of my days, like when you poisoned me the first time we met, or this." He softly lay the she-cat's head to the ground. "So, I have no choice. Not that I would have it any other way." He didn't intend to just get his soul back. No, with his new allies, he had much grander things planned.
"Now, let me tell you what I need. I'll need a sacrifice of my own kin..." He kicked the knocked out she-cat. "I think you guessed that. Now what else do I need?" He strolled up to the she-cat and just admired her neck. "I need your blood. Lots of it." He grabbed Littlestar's neck with one paw to hold her still, and with the other he slit her throat. Immediately blood began running down the she-cat's neck and chin in a smooth river. He placed his paws on either side of her neck and pushed, which turned the river into a torrent. "This is where you thank me for giving you that medicine." He held her still as the blood ran down her neck, and suddenly he chuckled. "You know what would be funny? If I drowned you in your own blood." He contemplated it for a moment before sighing. "Sadly, this is business not pleasure. Maybe next time."

The silver she-cat struggle, the vines cutting into her limbs as she was lowered towards the bowl to collect her blood "Omega, it won't be the same. Even if you manage to retrieve your soul it won't be whole, you'll never get what you really want this way" but his decision had already been made, and before she could speak his claws dug into her throat. She tried to speak, choking on her own blood as it flowed down her throat both inside and out the sound or gurgeling filling the two-leg nest. Her limbs flailed trying desperately to fight back as the life began to drain out of her body, her movements becoming weaker and weaker as her blood left her body pooling in the bowl below as he pressed on her neck to make it flow faster. Her heart strained trying to pump blood that was no longer there aching in her chest as she slowly began to go numb. First she couldn't feel her hind legs that were hoisted above the rest of her body, the feeling spreading until she couldn't fight any longer. Her eyes closing, then opening battling to stay awake until they finally stayed closed.
Omega kept the pressure on her neck until the torrent slowed to a drizzle. Once it did, he wiped his paw down down her bloody fur and licked it clean. Not bad, but not nearly as tasty as her daughter. As much as he enjoyed admiring his work, she would wake again soon. The first part had to be finished by then. He he took a burning stick from the fire and pressed it into her neck wound to cauterize it before turning his attention back to the ritual. He mutter some words, and let the leader's blood flow into the flames. The river of blood hissed and groaned as it came into contact. He then tossed the sunflower petals into the flames, and the fire turned into an inferno as he muttered the next phrase in the ritual. It was sun fire: chaotic, unyielding, and uncontrollable. He could not look at it without being blinded. The heat seared his nose as he grabbed onto his daughter, and then tossed her into the flames with the final words.
The flames grew to be the true color of the sun: white hot. The white blaze followed what remained of Littlecrow's blood up the incline until it settled underneath the leader. The flames also engulfed Omega, but he didn't feel its searing heat anymore. He felt the presence of something so familiar yet unknown: himself. To him, the flames were now his soul. All the emotions had long since forgotten about lit his brain ablaze. He felt the world scream at him for this unnatural act, and for this first time in years, he cared. He grieved for the cats he had eaten, the pain he had caused, and the atrocities he had committed. He understood what Littlestar meant now. His humanity was back, but at a cost. He knew that he was irredeemable, destined to be hunted down for the rest of his days, and he deserved it and more. As the fire finally died, the sounds of his weeping echoed with the sound of the kitten's own tears: a cry for help, which would never come for either of them.
Tears ran down his face as Omega desperately searched around the now normal orange blaze for any sign of his daughter. He fell onto his stomach and shook his head. "What have I done!?"

Littlecrows eyes slowly opened only to come face to face with the blinding white flames. The were reaching upwards to lick her small frame, her long coat of silver slowly becoming brittle and black. The scent of burnt flesh and fur overwhelmingly filling the small space of the two-leg nest with it's stench. The smoke rose into her lungs, searing her from within. Her body to weak to respond, her limbs still frighteningly numb from the loss of blood. She couldn't move away from the heat, her skin starting to blister. She had never been afraid of fire, not until now. Fire had always been associated with the warmth of her God, a tool for her to wield to defend her family and clan from the shadewalkers. But it seemed that it had finally come for her, reaching upwards trying to consume everything in it's path.
Then she heard it, Omegas cries as he stared into the flames. The pain and sadness had engulfed him as she knew it would, and having not felt anything in so long Littlecrow could only imagine his agony at the deeds he had done. The flames slowly dying down to a dull yellow as she dangled over "Its not to late" she rasped, her lungs still seared from the smoke and flames "You can stop this Omega, you don't have to feel this pain. I can help you"
He just stared into the now dancing flames, and he couldn't even see Seraphiel's ashes. She was just... gone. Not a trace of her existed anymore. His ocean blue eyes looked to Littlecrow with nothing but despair. He understood what he just condemned her to, and he wouldn't wish it upon his worst enemy. He rose to his trembling paws with his head bowed. "I... I'll always feel this pain. And I deserve it. I deserve to suffer like this. But you don't." He looked up to the ropes restraining her, and he started to make his way to the top floor to cut her down
But then the room suddenly became darker despite the starlight filling it. Omega's eyes widened as a booming, whispering voice filled the room from seemingly everywhere and once."Don't listen to her... she lies. You have your own ancestors. Let them show you the future she envisions for you..." The tom slowly nodded and shut them, and at once he went into a vision. The tom once again found himself in SunClan's camp. Everything had gone back to the way it was. The brambles bloomed on the walls of the ravine, kits played in its basin, and cats freely discussed what had ended not long ago. And then he heard a call for a clan meeting. He watched them gather beneath Littlecrow-no, Littlestar- as she called kittens to begin their next stage in life, and for the lucky few apprentices to continue following their path. They said a prayer, but then they stayed. He saw himself get hauled out from the prisoner's den with paws bound together, and he too was placed beneath her. He saw her speak, but was too far away to hear the words. Then he saw bright orange consume his body as he writhed about, and then lay still.
The tom's eyes shot open and immediately stared back at Littlestar with hurt in his eyes. "You're lying to me... but you still don't..." The voice filled the room again. "Do what we discussed. You don't have to kill her, and your obligation will be fulfilled... mostly." He stood there for what felt like a long time before walking back down to the cage with the kitten. The kitten was violently shaking as Omega gently picked him up by the scruff and walked him over to Littlecrow. He put him down and pushed him towards Littlecrow. "Please... can you bless him? His death won't be easy, but maybe you can help him in the afterlife."

For a moment it seemed like he was going to free her, but just as suddenly he turned going back down the stairs to fetch the kit as the heat intensified on her face from the fire below. Though she couldn't hear the voice speaking to Omega, it was clear that something was going on inside his head as he sat the it down next to her dangling face on the stairs, left dangling above the fire becoming harder and harder to stay awake. She took in the sight of the kit, afraid and terrified "Look into my eyes and tell me that I am lying" her golden gaze never leaving him "What I say is the truth, there is still hope for you" she looked at the kit her heart beating rapidly in her chest "But what you are about to do is inexcusable, its a kit for Sun God's sake" she tried to struggle in her bonds but everything was numb and the only sign of her resistance was the shuttering of muscles under her fur
"Stop before its to late Omega, if you think you are feeling bad now after this your pain will be unimaginable. You will loose everything that makes you who you are" there were tears in her eyes now, but weather from pain, fear, or digest was up for debate. Her nose pressed against the kit's head, "Little one... you deserve so much more than this, no kit should ever have to suffer" she wanted to pull it close and protect it but he binds wouldn't even allow her to move "I can't protect you in this life, I'm sorry that I'm not strong enough little one" she was quietly sobbing now, the façade of calm and collected she had tried so hard to maintain through the harsh months shattering "The only thing I can do for you now, is to give you a chance for a peaceful afterlife. The Sun God accepts all kits into his fold that allow him into their his heart. When you wake up you will be on the island of my ancestors, where it is always warm and you will want for nothing. You know three of my kits are there now, maybe you could go and play with them. Would you like that?"
The little orange tabby shivered as he looked up to the dangling cat. Every instinct told him to run now that Omega no longer had a grip on him, but the warmth in her eyes drew him in. He stopped shivering and looked to her with a sense of wonder. It sounded like she really cared for him, like Seraphiel did. The kit nodded and reached up to touch her nose. "I would, that sounds like fun!" Even in the face of death, the kit remained lively. "I want to meet this Sun God of yours!"
Omega's will wavered as he listened to her. He couldn't deny it, and he wouldn't. Though it tore him to pieces, he was glad to have his humanity back, but he couldn't deny what he saw in the vision either. "I-I think you are. Even if you were telling the truth, you'd be wrong. It's in my head. That... enemy. It's in my head, screaming..." He shook his head. Its voice rang again his head. "If you don't do it now, then I will claim the kit myself." Another vision passed through his head. Suddenly he was walking through a hallway made of dark granite. On the sides lay cells barely large enough for a cat to lay down in, and they were all covered in some mist. He stepped in some of it, and he felt all feeling in that leg drain away in an instant. "Kill it now, and it won't suffer this fate." Omega swallowed hard, and nodded. He turned to look a Littlestar again, and this time he was shaking. "I've already lost myself... I'm not worth it. But I can save Leo." He gave them another moment together if Littlestar wanted to say anything else, and then he picked up the kit by the scruff and brought it near the fire.
He unsheathed a trembling claw as he rolled the kit over and stared at its belly. "I don't know if--" Then paralyzing pain gripped his body and knocked the wind out of him. It was far worse than the pain he felt in the Vault of Souls. It was so much worse. Then the glass dome shattered as the voice filled the building again, and this time Littlestar could hear it. "I own you. This isn't your choice." The pain disappeared in a heartbeat, and he gasped for breath. He had to do this. He had to at least give Leo a good afterlife. He bent down and licked the kit's head. "I'm sorry about this, grandson. Please forgive me." With that his claws dug into the kitten's torso, and an ear piercing screech filled the building. He did just stop at severing the kit's torso. He cut in deeper until he could see the kit's organs. Omega trembled as he reached inside the kitten, who was still very much conscious and screaming. "Deeper." He looked away as he probed further into the kitten's abdominal cavity until he felt movement: the kit's heart. He grabbed it in his claws and pulled it out of the kit's body. At this point, the Leo's eyes had glazed over from the pain and blood loss, and the kitten's dying eyes stared right at Littlestar in a plea for help. "Say the words." He muttered some words in an unknown tongue, and tossed the still-beating heart in the fire. "Good."
Omega stared the kitten's desecrated body, and he broke down into an uncontrollable sobbing. "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry..." Omega reach over and closed the kitten's eyes, and then looked back to Littlestar. "Did-did he make it to the Isle?"

Littlecrow smiled gently, even through the tears the were sliding down her forehead "May the Sun God light your path" she murmured as the prayer she murmured over the kit came to close. The ancient Janus would care for him now, guiding him to the isle. She closed her eyes licked the top of his head, as he was suddenly pulled away "STOP" she pleaded, the desperate raspy screeches echoing off the walls "OMEGA DON'T DO THIS" She struggled, the vined holding tight "He's under the Sun God's protection now, you have already saved him. Omega DON'T. HE DOESNT HAVE TO DIE"
As the words left her lips suddenly the ceiling shattered, glass raining down upon them as a dark and guttural voice filled her ears even causing her to shiver
"I own you. This isn't your choice"
"Omega don't you see this is what it wants? That is demon" she was shaking now, she had encountered such vile creatures before while dream walking, though she wasn't sure who this particular voice belonged to she pulled more desperate than ever to free herself from her binds "Omega you always have a choice, let me down. Let me help you fight this thing" her screams becoming more and more desperate eyes wide with fright as suddenly he plunged into the kit's chest "NNNOOO, OMEGA STOP YOUR GOING TO MAKE IT MORE POWERFUL" the kits shrieks driving her to fight even harder, she could feel the vines giving a little.
But it was to late, as he pulled the beating heart of the kit and threw it into the fire. Her screams of protests turning to sob of defeat, going limp as she mourned the loss of the queen and kit, to upset to even answer Omega
Waiting for Littlestar to answer, Omega stared at her for a few seconds. He knew what he had just done was wrong in every sense. He had done it before to other cats while he didn't have his soul, but never when he had it. Not having his soul then made him able to push away some of the guilt, but he couldn't this time. His gaze returned to the kitten's body, and he broke down sobbing again. Why did he make this deal? Soon enough the voice filled the room again. "Good. Now set up the rest. You aren't done yet." Hadn't he done enough? Hadn't Littlestar seen enough? He shook his head. "No. I'm not-" He never got a chance to finish his words. "I. Own. YOU." Suddenly the area around Omega filled with a mist, the energy draining mist Omega saw moments earlier in a vision. He tried to run out of it, but within moments of contact his legs collapsed, and he fell into the mist. Having no energy left, he simply lay there has his vision turned to black.
The mist continued to fan out and grow, but it stayed underneath the High Priestess as it traveled as if it had a mind of its own. Still, the little plants and flowers around and below her all wilted and died within a second of coming into contact with the mist. What remained of her blood became a sickly black as the fire was put out. The voice boomed with laughter. "Not yet Priestess, not yet." Soon enough the mist became dew on the dead plants as if it were the typical morning fog, and Omega came to with a yowl. "You can save your life, and hers. Do as I say. Do as we discussed." Having not yet recovered from his death, Omega gave a defeated nod before he turned back to Littlestar.
"I'm sorry, but I don't have a choice. You heard what it said. The choices my soulless self made took mine away. I wish it hadn't come to this." He picked up Leo's body and placed it in the small pool of Littlestar's now black blood that got trapped at the very bottom. "If I never left SunClan, then this would never have happened. Maybe things could have been different then. Maybe we could have even been friends, allies even." He splashed the kit's body with her blood, and then grabbed some of the remaining sunflower petals and tossed them into the mixture. "When I was Strategos, I wasn't like this. I avoided wars at all costs, and did my best to ensure the safety of my Clan." He stopped what he was doing and bent over the kit's body to lick its head, and muttered a few more ancient words. "I promise we'll be done soon... and we can both forget about this day." He paused. "Once your High Priestess again, I'll turn myself in. I deserve to suffer for what I've done."

Littlecrow had stopped fighting, but this time she addressed the voice itself instead of Omega "You may scare Omega, but you don't scare me" a determined look in her gaze "Where are you are death and destruction, I am life and fire. The Sun God's chosen" It seemed rather ridiculous with her hung up and unable to move, but there was no remnant of fear left in her gaze as she spoke, only tears of grief for those that had been lost "So long as my faith is strong you won't be able to harm me"
She gaze down at Omega as he bathed the kit in her blood "There is always a choice to be made... I know that better than most" he mind flashing back to that day at the Forest Clan gathering, the choice she had made to kill the Sun God so that he could be reborn. A chance for him to grow stronger, to learn the morals that would ensure SunClan could thrive. Did she have to? No, but it was the choice she had made
The voice chuckled from above. "I don't need to scare you, Priestess. I just need to scare your followers, and they'll do the rest for me." The voice dropped into a whisper so just Littlestar could hear it. "I have plans for you, don't worry. We'll be spending plenty of time together. I'm sure we'll know each other well..." The mist reformed from the grass and it swirled around Littlestar. The voice showed her a vision of the SunClan camp covered in the mist. Kits, apprentices, warriors, it didn't matter. All of them were dead, save for Littlestar. "I want to take everything from you. Your life won't please me." A figure suddenly appeared from within the mist and stared back at her. "I will kill your Clan from within. I will feed on your family." The vision blurred and refigured to show her the prison filled with the mist. "I will make you pray to me for their release. I will make you do what that poor fool is doing for me now. Watch your step, Priestess. I always win." The mist dissipated again, and revealed an Omega with his paws covered in the black blood mixture.
He eyes looked upon her with sympathy for what she had seen. Whenever the demon did that... it had quite the message. He still remembered his first time in the mist. It even scared the soulless part of him. "Did you see what we saved that kit from? Leo was going to die today. We gave him a better path. If I didn't, then it would be feeding on him right now. We did the right thing." He walked forward and painted Littlestar's flanks with the blood mixture. "Tell her what you're doing." He nodded and dipped his paw in the mixture again. "I'm going to drain you of all your energy. Nothing will be left. Your soul won't even have the energy to move on to the Isle for centuries. You'll be stuck in your corpse." The voice growled above. "Alone."

Littlestar couldn't deny the horror of the scene that unfolded before her, but she took in deep breathes to calm herself "You show such images, but we both know that you don't have the power to achieve it on your own" she growled, lifting her chin even as the mist swirled around her pulling on what was left of her energy. As it faded and Omega appeared she looked to him "No you still had a choice Omega. The thing about demons is they only have power if you give it to them. They use images and play on your worst fears to make you do their bidding. They feed off your fear and insecurities" It was a lesson hard learned while learning to dream walk. No matter how terrible, you had to be brave
"If you hadn't killed that kit I could have put an end to this, I could have freed you from your haunting" she screamed as the kit's blood was painted onto her pelt, struggling helplessly in her bonds. Every where the blood touched burned,a searing pain that wouldn't go away "Omega you need to be brave" she panted "Show this demon that you don't fear it and it will go away"
Omega shook his head. He had tried saying no just before, and he lost a life. At this point he only had one left, and this thing had a grip on it that he couldn't break. His spirit had spent moments inside that demon's prison, and it was too much to bear for a lifetime. Even Foxbane didn't deserve to end up there. The tom had to hope that somewhere down the line he could break free, but the demon had a firm grip around him now. He couldn't see it, but he could feel the demon listening to every word he spoke and every action he made. "Maybe you can that brave, but I can't. The demon can feel my fear. It knows that I am afraid. I can't hide it." He shivered. "It's the first time I've felt real fear in years. You just... can't imagine what it feels like."
He dipped his paw into the mixture again and painted a stripe right along her spine up to the top of her forehead. "It's awful, just awful. I can't think without seeing that demon. It's in my head." He then dotted the blood around her eyes before giving her a stripe over her heart. He paused and looked up to sky, pleading for some sort of reprieve. "Say the words." Omega muttered a few words in the ancient tongue and the blood glowed with a red light as it sealed itself onto the Priestess. Despite it retaining a distinctive liquid sheen, it no longer ran down her coat. It was effectively frozen. He lay down so he could look the leader in the eyes, and then put a gentle paw on her cheek. "But I don't want you to leave your loved ones with nothing. If you want, I can give them some messages. I can give them your last words."

She understood... This demon, evil entity, whatever you wanted to call it already had Omega in it's grasp. She could see the fear in his eyes, the look of a cat who really believed that they had no way out. She screamed as the last of the kit's blood was painted over her spine, dotted around her eyes, then placed over her heart. Then he said the words..... All she could see was blinding white light, her body shuddering in agony as the blood froze to her pelt leaving her gasping for air. But even now she didn't beg for mercy or plead for life. There was no fear of death within the golden depths of her eyes, only pity for the cat that had inflicted this fate upon her
"There is nothing I can do to save you, if you are not willing to save yourself" she was speaking in barely more than a whisper, her energy slipping away with every moment "Do you know why I don't fear death Omega?" she coughed, blood sputtering out of her mouth "Its because everything I have done is to protect those whom I love. Good... Bad... I am by no means perfect, but every decision has stemmed from a place of love. Even if I loose my life here, those that I have loved will live on knowing the love I felt for them" her coughing became worse, her body shuttering as it was starting to shut down
His saddened eyes shed a tear as she spoke. "That's why I fear death as much as this demon. I have done terrible things, none worse than what I'm doing to you now. I know it's wrong, but I'm more afraid than you could ever understand. I'm jealous of Leo. He no longer has to fear what will happen to him tomorrow." He rose to his paws and put his paws on either side of her head, and stopped. "I do mean it. I am sorry for this. So much had to happen for us to end up here..." The voice boomed from above. "Finish the job." The tom solemnly nodded and then started to repeat the ancient tongue's words over and over. The mixture on Littlecrow glowed as it was activated. Its pain went beyond physical as it burned at her very soul. The last thing Littlecrow would hear was the voice. "No, your forgot something Omega. Remember what I told you..."
When Littlestar woke on the Isle of the Blessed there was someone waiting for her. They had met only moments before, and now they were reunited. Leo's amber eyes stared up at the Priestess, but they no longer held any fear. He was genuinely happy and found peace. His short time on the isle worked wonders. "I thought you'd be here soon..." He ran up and hugged one of her legs. "I don't blame you at all for what happened. I like it here. All the other kits are sooooooo nice. And the water here..." He reached down and ran his paw through the nearby crystal stream. "It's so clear! I've never seen anything like it!" All of a sudden sullen, he looked back up to the leader. "But I'm sorry that you're here. Are you going to go back?"

Littlestar's scream was heart wrenching, as she writhed with pain as Omega said the unknown words in her ears holding her head in place. She could vaguely hear their conversation, but it all soon faded. Everything was black and silent for several moments, the coldness of the void causing her to shiver. She closed her eyes once more...
But this time when they opened she was greeted by familiar warmth beating down on her pelt. The sun shining brightly overheard, the soft sound of trickling water and laughter of kits. She slowly pushed herself to her paws, her heart slowly realizing that she was now on the isle. Before she had a chance to move, she found a kit suddenly clinging to her legs, staring up at her with round amber eyes. She purred lowering her muzzle to press her nose to his cheek "I'm glad that my prayers worked little one" he seemed so happy, so glad to be free of all the pain of the life before this one "Yes I must return, my work there isn't done yet" she groomed the kit behind his ears, but this was strange. Last time she had just went back to her body... so why wasn't she this time? It was like something was blocking her connection with the physical world "I have a family there that need me"
