Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
HoneystormJetclawFaith the rescue party can arrive now! I've set the stage below so you don't have to read the entire thread.
-This is the same day as the murder scene. They were able to track Omega to the city. -Fox/Skip/Misty have tracked Little and Omega to an abandoned building with some plant growth on the floor (important for later). -Little is hung to the ceiling dangling head down. Her throat was slit and then cauterized. Below her is a pool of her blood, which is now black. Her fur is also scorched from a fire that rose from the bowl. -Omega drew markings on her with a ritual mixture that drains her energy, and has lost a life from it. -The mixture works on those with some relation to the sun god, so Fox/Skip will also be affected by it, but misty won’t be. Until they remove the markings/mixture, Misty will be the only one able to treat Little without getting hurt -Around them is a mist that rapidly drains the energy of living things inside it, so for now no one can get close enough to help little. One way they could see this is from the plants. Those in the mist are dead, while any outside it are still alive. -Some other things they’ll see scattered around: a kit’s corpse with its innards ripped out, a fire, shattered glass.
If you have any questions, please let me know! Leo nodded. "I understand. I wish I could do that. The tom that did this to me didn't seem very happy. Maybe if we showed him this place he could learn to be like us!" The kit chirped as he looked over the cliffs and ocean beyond. Having been born in the cold seasons, he had never felt warmth on his fur like this. Everything was just better than it was in the city. "All the other kits have a different name then I do. Like, all have that -kit thing. Could you give me a name like that? I wanna be like the rest of the kits." Without waiting for an answer, he moved on to a new question. "Do you think you could bring my mom here? She always wanted us to live in a place like this. She'd be sooooo happy to see me here!" The kit had no idea of his mother's horrible fate in the Vault. To him, it was a death like his. Horrible, but nothing special. "Also, what's your name?"
Back in the world of the living, Omega was prepping for the next stages as the final act in this started to begin. The mist settled in around Littlecrow and Omega as he returned to his herbs. He tossed the lavender and deathberries into the fire and muttered a few words in the tongue. He then grabbed the silver amulet in his jaws and tossed it into the fire. Then the orange-yellow fire became a deep red. The voice boomed from above. "Good. Now go finish the job. Do not make another mistake." The tom nodded in defeat as he returned to Littlecrow's body and patiently waited for her to come to. He needed her alive and her soul present for the bindings to take effect. With her soul visiting the afterlife, the markings would have no effect when she returned, so he needed to draw new ones.
(stardanceracer what about Jetstar? Is she affected by the markings? She was just a SunClan warrior before becoming SpringClan's leader)
Skipstep's ears were pressed flat against his head, eyes wild with fury. His mouth open every moment to check the scent trail. They couldn't afford to lose her now. Littlestar had to be in dire straits. But his anxiety was making it hard to focus. He paused losing the trail for a moment until his sister bumped into him.
"Stop that!" Jetstar hissed to her brother, "you keep inhaling like that, you'll suck up the scent and the dirt." She admonished him. "Besides, it's obvious now where he's hiding." She said flicking her tail towards the abandoned building up ahead of the search party. The Springclan leader resisting the urge to unsheathe her claws and dig them into the ground. She understood her brother's fury but losing his head like this was foolish.
Even from this far she could smell the stink of blood, and her stomach churned. Were they about to enter upon a real murder scene now?
'If we are, I'll shred them.' Though a shudder passed through her, the view that had greeted at that house had been too uncomfortably similar to the vision that had appeared when Jetstar had tried to off Bloodystar.
Misty Rose appeared out of the corner of the groups vision. Her looks alone were unmistakable from the half peach gold, half blue grey fur and monotone voice. Not far behind was Funk E'tan, her captor, but also a friend. She didn't tell him that yet though, didn't want it to get to his head.

"Yeah, I keep thinking you're still in the prison." Even with the sunken look in his eyes, Funk sounded as youthful and cheeky as ever. The city was his domain, of course Funk E'tan came along. Really, anything to get his mind off of recent events was welcome, even if it was saving Littlestar. And making sure Misty didn't run off. The city was in disarray, a lot of his work had been torn down. He couldn't afford to lose another project.
Vixenkismet's thinking wasn't far off from Jetstar's. Once she'd realized the murder scene was fake, she'd been almost frantic about figuring out where Littlestar actually was. In times like this though, it was probably a good thing the ex-Priestess was on a rather terrifying level of stalker, because now they were close, so close. And the she-cat was just barely keeping herself from charging into the building and ripping apart every cat besides her daughter who was inside. It was probably a good thing Jetstar and Skipstep were here in the first place.
So close. She flexed her claws, half wishing she'd had the time to dip them in poison. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. At least they'd probably have numbers on whoever was inside the building. That's what she guessed, anyway, considering there were no guards that she could see. "Now's where we have to be careful. We don't know exactly what we're going to be walking into."
Misty Rose blinked slowly at Vixenkismet not even acknowledging her and Funk E'tan. She would rather be at home if Foxbane had this covered, but this was her best friend she came to investigate. She couldn't trust anyone else to protect her when everyone else failed so instead she just figured she'd quietly follow the tail end of the group, stay out of it unless needed.

Littlestar's spirit had already begun to fade from isle, her form becoming more transparent as is prepared to return to the land of the living "It would be an honor to give you a clan name" she paused, contemplating what to call the spirited little tom "As the true High Priestess of SunClan, I give you a new name in the Sun God's name. From this day forward you shall be known as Chancekit" she pressed her nose to his forehead "From this day forward I hope you take every chance to be happy that is presented to, that you have the chance to chase you dreams" Littlestar was almost transparent now "My name is Littlestar" she spoke more confidently, even though she hadn't got to use that name in so long.... "I don't know if I will be able to find your mother, Chancekit. But I will visit you soon, and perhaps if we work together one day we might be bale to reunite you"
Suddenly all the pain came rushing back, her eyes slowly fluttering as the fire roared below. The kit's blood that had been smeared over her was gone, but her body was still in bad condition and helplessly dangling above the fire
Chancekit smiled as he was renamed, and he reached up to meet her nose. The kits here would know him as Chancekit, he decided that when he and his mother are reunited, he will be Leo again. Maybe just to her, but the kitten had no doubt in his mind that they would meet again despite the Priestess's words of caution. "I can't wait Littlestar!" As she began to fade more and more, the kitten reached out for her one last time, and this time his paw just went through thin air. "I'll see you again soon!" He mewed quietly as the last trace of her disappeared into thin air. He sighed and looked back to where most of the cats had gathered. A smile soon returned to his face as he ran down the rolling hill to rejoin the other kits.
Omega was swirling the blood mixture as Littlestar woke. He went to reapply the mixture, but a thought made him rethink it. She had just died, so she went to the Isle. Maybe she saw him? He reached out with his clean paw to tilt her head up to look at him. He swallowed hard, and with a quivering voice he asked "Did you see him? Leo? Is he happy? Is he doing okay?" His made it clear that the tom had a genuine concern for the young kitten which he killed minutes ago. He gently let go of her head. "I know I don't deserve an answer, but please, I'm begging you. He's my grandson. I need to know."

Littlestar groaned, her head being jerked upwards to look at Omega almost as soon as she had started to breathe again, only to be gruffly released as he body swung in the vines. Part of her wanted to keep what she knew to herself, to let Omega suffer for what he had done. Chancekit didn't have to die... But looking into his eyes she could see how much he cared, how desperate he was to know that he had made the right choice "The Leo you knew is gone..." it was a look that she to possessed, the look of a cat who had done something terrible but it came from a place of love. He truly thought that this was the only way, the only way to say his grandson from the demon that had spoke to them. It gave her some sympathy for his plea, even though she shouldn't feel anything for him. He had killed his daughter, his grandson, and her.... So then why did it feel like he to was a victim here?
"He has a new name" her voice was soft and shakey, watching as he stirred the blood mixture, swallowing hard knowing the pain to follow.... the very thing that had just taken one of her lives "He won't suffer anymore"
A tear rolled down his face as she spoke. "Good, I'm glad. I couldn't tell you what that means to me. I know he didn't deserve what I did to him, but if he won't suffer again, then..." He trailed off. "Maybe one day I could forgive myself." He knew that he was lying to himself. That pang would always be in his heart. "Your suffering will end soon too." His paw trembled as he dipped it into the mixture again. He understood the pain this caused. The Vault did a number on him, and he remember when his soulless self was burned by the Sun God when it died. It was the kind of pain that could tear someone apart or drive them insane. He shivered when the demon's voice boomed from the mist. "Do it as we discussed. Tell her what will change."
Omega weakly nodded as he set about painting her again. He started with the stripe down her back up to her forehead and dotting her eyes, and then he spoke. "This time... you won't fall asleep. I-I'm just going to end this here." Instead of the simple stripe over her heart, this time Omega drew a spiral pattern. He stopped for a moment. "If you have any last words for Foxbane or your mate, then I can tell them for you. I won't hurt them. I didn't want to hurt you." With that he continued working on setting up Littlestar's body. He painted a longer, more flowing spiral pattern down her right flank with the black blood mixture before giving each of her paws a solid coating.

As soon as the paint touched her pelt, it elicited a shrill scream from her jaws leaving little doubt that she would be heard. Littlestar could feel the energy she had just been given being ripped away as the the mixture was placed in spirals across her pelt. Everywhere it touched was cold, leeching deep within her body until there was no hiding from the pain. But it didn't stop with physical pain. It was like her soul was being ripped away from her body, inch by agonizing inch.Even as he requested her last words, his only answer was screams.

Foxbane inclined her head to Misty Rose and Funk slightly, and opened her mouth to say something... when an unearthly shriek split the air, and she froze in place, her face falling blank, as if the sound of Littlestar's screams had short circuited her brain. Then her face darkened, and she was off without a word to the rest of the group, pelting for the building at full speed, all pretense of caution utterly gone.
The scene she found inside was worse than she could have even imagined. Littlestar strung upside down, an ominous mist surrounding them, the plants withing dead... "LITTLESTAR!" Vixenkismet's voice was loud, and probably a bit of a shock to Omega, if he hadn't realized they were so close.
The moment Littlestar's scream pierced the air, Skipstep flung all caution to the wind, the tom bolting towards the building.
"Littlestar!" He cried, then his eyes locked onto Omega. "Get away from her!" He yowled, charging towards Omega. Disregarding the mist, the dying plants around his mate, and the weird concotion Omega was spreading around. All that mattered was getting to his mate and ripping this tom limb from limb-
But as soon as he stepped too close to the mist, it was like he'd gotten a lungful of smoke. The tom stopping dead and starting to cough, the strength slipping from his limbs.
Jetstar was a step behind her brother, eyes widening and ears flattening at the horrific sight. When her brother leapt forward to try and attack the tom and got a lungful of that strange mist and suddenly stopped. Jetstar quickly realized this wasn't normal.
Hastily she lunged forward to grab her brother, seizing him by the scruff and pulling him. She had extra lives given to her by StarClan, though they were meant to be used in service of SpringClan, she'd already known selfishly they would be tools to be used as she saw fit. She would die again and again for her brother if it came down to it.
Vixenkismet's voice shocked Omega as he stopped the painting to turn and look at her. On some level, he did fear her. She took away his soul years ago, and indirectly started all of this. But right now he just felt sorry for her. Then he saw Skipstep appear from below the rubble and charge at Littlestar. "NO! DON'T---" He looked away when he saw the tom enter the mist. No. He never wanted them to see her like this, he never wanted anyone else to die here. He breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Jetstar pull Skipstep from the fire, but now he had to tell all something much more difficult. "Please, leave. I never wanted you to see this. This is going to hurt her more. Just... go outside. I'll let you have me when she's gone..."
A soft chuckle could be heard coming from the mist. "No, that won't be necessary." The demon's dark, guttural voice sounded from the mist. "I think they should stay... and say their final goodbyes." The mist looked like it gained sentience all of a sudden. As the voice spoke the mist filled in behind them, effectively cutting off their way out. "Even her mate is here." The demon laughed, and then it's voice became far louder in Skipstep's ears. "Yes, little one. I know who you are. I can feel your bond with the High Priestess. I fed on it. Perhaps you would like to join her." The mist again had a mind of its own as it swirled and formed a column around Skipstep, again draining his energy, and this time cutting him off completely from everyone else. Then images started to form in the mist.. The vision showed Skipstep the SunClan camp covered in the same mist around him now. Littlestar stood above the rising mist, and Skipstep could see himself getting swallowed by it along with the rest of the cats. Kits, apprentices, warriors, it didn't matter. All of them were dying, save for one figure staring back at Littlestar. "I will take everything you have. I will feed on your family." The image of SunClan's camp dissolved and was replaced by an image of an underground, black stone prison. A small mist free path ran down the center, and in each cell there was a soul surrounded by the mist. Despite the open doors, none had the strength to flee. Cats of all ages were stuck inside, including plenty of kits. The image blurred as he was shown further and further into the prison before finally arriving at a cell with a cage. Inside it was a faint outline of Littlestar: the life she lost to Omega. "You will pray to me. You will do as I say. Maybe not today, but you will." Then the mist swirled around him started to tighten. Any movement Skipstep made was immediately mirrored by the mist, keeping him in the center. "I will own you as I own that poor fool right now." The demon chuckled. "And I can't thank you enough, Foxbane. Without you, none of this would have been possible. If this fool had his soul, then this would have never happened."
Omega winced when he saw the mist start to swirl around Skipstep. They couldn't have waited just a bit longer, and then they would have been safe. He sighed and returned to painting the last details on Littlestar's body. He gave each remaining paw a covering before painting the other flank with the same delicate pattern. Once he finished he lifted Littlestar's head with his clean paw so she could clearly see the mist surrounding them and engulfing Skipstep. "Do you want to tell them anything?"

Littlestar's screams were becoming weaker and quieter as Foxbane, Skipstep, and Jetclaw came bursting into the building shouting her name "Run" she pleaded with them, struggling in the vines until she couldn't do so any longer. Her shrieks and struggles becoming whimpers and tremors, each moment the paint remained on her skin draining her life away. She cried as the mist over took Skipstep, feeling his fear along with her own until Jetclaw managed to pull him out of the mist. It was just like before, the cold seeping inside of her until her extremities began to go numb. Slowly and agonizingly spreading downwards with no way to stop it. Like slowly being submerged into freezing waters, one small piece at time. Being so close, Skipstep would be able to feel her fading. Coming closer and closer to loosing another life. Her heart struggling to pump blood to her extremities, her sides aching as she breathed in the smoke and mist slowly tearing her apart from the inside.
Littlestar tried calling out to them, but no sound came from her throat. Hot tears stinging against the cold of her face, as Omega grasped her chin to pull her towards him. Her eyes clouded over with pain. She tried to speak, but only raspy incoherent sounds came out
Skipstep's eyes widened, and he yanked himself from Jetstar, gritting his teeth ears flattening as the mist flooded around them.
"Don't be a mousebrain!" Jetstar hissed, ready to grab her brother again if he tried to rush into the mist once more. Though she was tensed herself, eyes narrowed into slits. The tan and black she cat's claws unsheathed. She was no master of the occult, but something needed to be done. She glanced around, noting the kits dead body a gasp slipping from her throat.
'What monstrous ritual is this?!' She thought through gritted teeth. "Foxbane, what do we do?" She asked looking back at the former high priestess and Mistyrose. "This mist is clearly dangerous and what he's done-" She grit her teeth. "This isn't my area of expertise." She said.
She'd never been a janus, or been opened to the dark wisdom of the occult. She'd only known of the afterlife, and now her only 'powers' as it were was just she had nine lives to lose.
Skipstep though glared into the mist tail lashing. He glared at the vision of Littlestar in the cage, then he bunched his legs.
"Skipstep!" Jetstar warned.
"I won't let them keep me from her!" Skipstep shot back remaining crouched ready to spring, "I need to get to her! There's something in this mist!"
"Then we won't get anywhere simply jumping into it!" Jetstar said sharply, ears flattening. "Black magic like this requires more than just sharp claws and a heart thirsting for vengeance!"
Skipstep's tail kept lashing, just barely restraining himself from launching in. He knew how powerful that mist was, but the anger and the fear echoed from Littlestar made his claws dig into the ground.
Omega slowly nodded as her broken words left her mouth. He thought he could understand something coming out of them, something that she would say. He looked over to Skipstep getting ready to spring and he shook his head. "Don't do it! You'll only hurt yourself." He then looked to Vixenkismet. Part of him hoped that the she-cat had some solution to this that he had never thought of, but he doubted it. Sure, she was the High Priestess of SunClan, but working with demons never seemed to be her thing. Granted, it wasn't his for a very long time. But times changed, and here he was. Ready to strip away the life of an already broken cat. He turned back to the dangling Littlestar and sighed. He had to finish this. He couldn't let her suffer more than she had to.
Then his eyes widened. Maybe he could help her. He laid down so he could look her in the eyes. "I'm sorry, I can't do anything to help them. I have no control. I only anchor the demon here." He stayed their for a moment, hoping she would get the message, before standing up and muttering some words in an ancient tongue. The paint sealed itself onto Littlestar with a bright red glow, and another flash of burning pain for her. He then grabbed the sides of her head as he did before, but this time he leaned into her neck as he spoke more words in the tongue. The mixture on her glowed again as it was activated, again burning away at her soul with the fury of a wildfire.

A high pitched whine emerged from her lips as the paint began to glow, her body shuddering as it burned both flesh and soul. Her mind feebly tying to offer up prayers to protect herself, but it was futile. There was no escaping the agony, that seeped to every inch of her inside and out. As he approached and leaned over her, she whimpered as he continued speaking in the foreign tongue. All she could see was the soft flesh of his neck hovering over her muzzle, his words ringing in her ears. I am the anchor...
Skipstep... Foxbane... Jetclaw... Mistyrose... they we all in danger now to, all to try and save her. If she died here, they would to. The demon needed her to die, and when she did it would only grow stronger. It had to be stopped, and it had to be stopped now. Omega knew it to... or else he wouldn't have put himself in a vulnerable position "sorry " she rasped, one coherent word in her string of pitiful whimpers just before her teeth slid into the soft flesh of his neck, a tear sliding down her face as she felt his blood splatter across her face. She held on tightly as he struggled, using what little strength she had to keep her jaws clamped shut. Omega... even after all the horrible things he had done, she couldn't stop the guilt that ate away at her as she felt him dying in her jaws.
As he said the words, he buried his nose deeper and deeper into her neck to give her better access to his. He knew each word leaving his mouth could very well be his last, and he embraced that. Once he moved on, maybe he could even some of his kits again. Then he felt Littlestar's teeth dig into his throat. He instinctively started writhe about in her jaws, which only hastened the blood flowing from his neck wound. He had lost a life himself not long ago, so the tom was already not as strong as he could have been. His violent writhing continued for a few seconds before he stopped struggling, and the edges of his vision started to darken. He whispered a soft "Thank you", and then slumped in her jaws.
The demon made no sound while Omega died in her jaws, and the sound of the ocean's powerful waves could be heard from inside the building. But upon his death it chuckled. Its voice didn't have a hint of anger or frustration. Rather, its voice was filled with amusement and curiosity. "Well played, Littlestar, well played. But, I will have to punish you for killing my plaything." The mist withdrew from around her rescue party to just around her in a thick cloud that none of the others could see through. "We haven't seen the last of each other, High Priestess. You have won the battle, not the war." Its amusement grew into a sick laugh. "I have other plans for you, don't worry..." With that the mist dissipated, and the fire went from red to the typical orange, and the fire in the mixture disappear all together, leaving only the boiling liquid behind.
