@samiam
Stygian wasn't happy.
Which was saying something, considering he could always find something to smile about.
He loved any time he could spend with his brother and sister. Even if he and his brother frequently played around and chased each other as though they were still kits until their sister felt it necessary to step in with a soft word and a gentle touch to the shoulder. To him, this time away from his adoptive mother, Ziyuan, was bliss.
So why was he so upset?
Two words: Exchange. Program.
Fengmian and Ziyuan had been approached with the opportunity to send their two children and disciple to MoonClan in order to learn the spiritual methods of the nocturnal group. Originally it had just been Stygian, as he was the eldest of the disciples in their sect, but Ziyuan had put up a big enough fight read: tantrum that his brother and sister were thrown in the mix.
Now he had no other choice than to spend several moons in MoonClan, far from home and the flowers that blossomed and spread their sweet scent throughout the prairies. At least he had his siblings...
It was late though. He was tired. He wanted to rest, but they needed to get into the camp itself before they could settle down. He stopped his thoughts, blinking wide grey eyes. Would he even be allowed to sleep once they were escorted to the camp? MoonClan slept during the day and were active at night. SwiftClan was the opposite. Stygian suddenly wanted to throw back his head and wail his protests to the red skies. Would they keep him up anyway?
He threw a sad look at his sister, knowing full well that she would receive his childish expression with a soft smile and encouraging words, words he so desperately needed to hear now before he threw himself to the ground and started whining. Granted, he would never dare do such a thing because despite how he liked to act, he still had some understanding of honor and discipline, though Ziyuan often liked to believe differently.
He inhaled a deep breath and tossed a glare his brother's way when he was warned to maintain his behavior, as they were representing their sect by being there.
Now there was nothing to do but wait for these fuddy-duddies.
