(This can be the rp where Nobodykit gets banished out of WinterClan and gets injured since it's supposed to happen while he's a kit) pLuto
"Hey, Nobodykit," Rottenkit said, stirring his brother awake, "I was thinking we could stuff some nasty old freshkill I've been hoarding under the warriors nests while they're out on patrol. You in on a little pay back to old Howlingnight?" He asked, a slow shadow of a grin crossed the planes of his face. Most of their siblings were pushovers, they were already submissive to WinterClan's tactics, but it felt like him and Nobodykit were the only ones willing to stand up to their oppressors.
The feeling of a cats paw prodding him awoke him from his slumber prematurely. He wasn't ready to wake up just yet. Still groggy, he slowly opened his eyes to see Rottenkit standing in front of him. "Huh?" he fumbled out, unsure if he had fully heard what his brother had said. Something about old freshlkill and the warriors den? It took him a minute for his brain to piece together the idea but when he did, it brought a smile to his face and his sleepiness disappeared. "Ooh a bit of revenge...that does sound like fun," he responded excitedly. "Do you know when they're gonna be on patrol?"
"About two minutes, so hurry and get up, I don't want to miss this and I'm going to need some extra paws helping me roll some of that prey under their nests," Rottenkit said eagerly. He was already moving out of the nursery and over to a few bushes stretched outside of the warriors den, carefully watching the patrol assemble. Any moment now they would leave...
Nobody stood up and stretched, shaking it out through his tail as he watched his sibling leave the nursery. Following behind him, he exited the den into the clearing, darting over to the bushes so as not to be seen by any of the adults. Whispering to his brother, he asked, "So where is that stinky prey you told me about?"
Rottenkit paused, waiting for the warriors to leave completely before answering his brother, "They're a few fox lengths behind the warriors den," Rottenkit explained as he rounded the back. He had buried some prey in the snow to freeze the awful scent, but when they would put them under the warriors nest the animal flesh would thaw and smell.
Rottenkit had collected a considerable amount of rotten prey, it made up an entire pile from him collecting all the scraps. However they only needed so many so he just took what he needed and carried the rotten prey into the empty warriors den. He first sniffed around the nests before waving Nobodykit over to Howlingnight's. He wanted to put rotten prey under plenty of peoples nests, but Howlingnight was target number one.
"Who else's nests are we putting stuff under?" Nobodykit asked in between the prey he was carrying in his mouth. The foul odor that emanated from the spoiled prey was almost unbearable so he quickened his pace towards Howlingnight's nest. But one question popped into his mind: wouldn't they be found out since their scent will be over everything?
"Silverfury, he's a jerk! Oh and then we gotta sneak into Wintrystar's den too," He snickered before hacking at the smell.
Rottenkit had already stuffed quite a few prey under the deserving warriors, plus the bad scent was so strong no one would ever know they were in there, "C'mon, let's get out of here."
"Are you? Because I don't think you're going anywhere."
Howlingnight leaned against the entrance to the warriors den, his cold almost white gaze bore right through the kits as he stared at them without amusement. "Pick up your prey and put them back in that pathetic pile of yours outside, both of you, now," He commanded. He had discovered the pile a while ago and intentionally was waiting to bust Rottenkit on it, but no surprise that his partner in crime was with him.
Of course he would show back up at a time like this. Nobodykit was more annoyed than afraid of the warrior but he reluctantly picked up the prey. "It's what you deserved," he mumbled under his breath as he carried his prey out of the warriors den. He glanced over to Rottenkit and shook his head.
Rottenkit picked up his spoiled prey and dropped it into the scrap pile of old stinky prey.
"You happy now? It's not fair that everyone else in this clan gets to treat us like dirt, but we can't even leave if we want to," Rottenkit pointed out, his head held high as he stood next to his brother. "Nobodykit and I are going to be great warriors someday, we deserve respect and good warrior names. We can be loyal and talented just like the other pure bloods."
He looked to his brother for backup on trying to persuade Howlingnight. After all the tom was Wintrystar's mate, if anyone could convince her otherwise it was him. Plus if they convinced him they were better than what he believed them to be then maybe he would let them off with a warning this time since it was just a prank.
"Yeah, we're no different from the rest of the pure bloods!" Nobodykit exclaimed after he dropped off the rotten prey. "Just because our mother is who she is doesn't mean we are going to grow up to be monsters!" He was angry at the members of WinterClan. Then he made a mistake he made off of a rumor he heard from the others around camp. "You're not even a pure blood yourself!"
There was no shift in mood, only the fear that settled in their hearts as time passed and nothing was said.
"Go stand in the rotten kill pile until I tell you both that you can leave it," Howlingnight said lowly, his gaze staring at them expectantly.
Rottenkit let out a high pitch snarl that he meant to sound far more intimidating, but being a kitten it just wasn't possible. Howlingnight stared down at them intensely before standing up. Rottenkit lost his nerve and began to walk over to the rotten kill pile, his tail between his legs. His body almost didn't allow him to step into it, like he couldn't even force himself to stand in something so gross. Inhaling as much fresh air as he could he stood on top of the spoiled prey. He was still trying to hold his head high, but his shoulders were hunched over and before long he was coughing from the stench.
"You too Nobodykit," Howlingnight said, but it was clear that if he refused things were going to escalate far past just standing in a yucky prey pile, "Or do you think you're too good for this clan to follow orders?"
Nobodykit shook his head no and stood his ground. "No, I am not going to do that. That's not fair and you know it!" he exclaimed. It was probably a mistake he'd come to regret later but now, in the moment, he was too angry to do what he was told. As an act of defiance, he sat down where he stood.
Howlingnight snapped at Nobodykit, but just when he thought it was aimed at his face he instead snatched up the kit by the scruff and began to carry him into the leaders den, "Wintrystar, Nobodykit and Rottenkit planted spoiled prey underneath warriors nests. I told them to stand on a pile of rotten prey as punishment, but Nobodykit refused. He admitted that he feels he's too good for this clan to follow our orders. What do you think would be a good punishment for him?"
pao (This is the rp where Wintrystar banishes him for a week to live outside the camp before allowing him back in)
Wintrystar had watched the whole affair from the edge of her den. A very displeased look was on her face at the mere defience of the kits. They were unworthy to even be out of the prisoner's den, but as punishment to Bluejay, and as hopes of keeping a closer eye on them, she'd permitted them to live in the nursery. And yet, this is how they were repaying her generosity. She gazed upon her mate, eyes narrowed, "I would see him dead, but the Gods believe otherwise." She looked down at the kit dangling from her mate's jaws, if only she could....but there's always the next best thing. "Nobodykit, you are hereby banished from camp, forced to wander the territory for a week's time. In that time no one may assist you in survival. Maybe this will teach you to follow orders and take the punishments you deserve. I am being merciful now, and if the Gods allowed it, your punishment would be much worse off. Thank them in prayers before you leave for your very life and your continued ability to live." She paused, a wicked smile taking over her face, one that spoke of true cruelty and hatred of this family of monsters. "While your at it, beg them for strength for it will take all you have to survive this next week on your on. I've heard it will be a cold, harsh winter."
Howlingnight placed Nobodykit down, "Would you like to beg for mercy from the Gods before your walk of shame out of camp?" He asked. Although his heart couldn't help, but drop at the thought of an entire week. He knew Nobodykit would die, that Wintrystar knew it too. That if she couldn't kill the kit with her own claws she would let nature take its toll. Maybe Nobodykit didn't realize the danger yet, he was an arrogant little kit, but it turned out a prank would be the last mistake he would ever make. In other words, soon enough, nobody would want to end up like Nobody, he was about to be made an example of.
Upon hearing his punishment, he had lost all his will to fight. He hung his head and his ears drooped. He was going to be sent out into the wild with nothing and expected to survive...on his own? Isn't that a bit too harsh even for WinterClan? "D-do I h'-have to?" he stuttered out. Theres no way she would make him do that, would she? But then he remembered that she hated any one who was related to his mother, Bluejay. And that made his anger return, but it brought tears to his eyes. "That's not fair!" he cried out as he started kicking again. As much as he didn't like her he called out to his adoptive mother. "Dottyma-, Mom, help!"
"You want fair? Then you should have accepted your original punishment. It was only befitting the crime, and yet you decided to be rebellious and now you don't wish to accept your new punishment? Even kits will know their place in this clan." Wintrstar motioned for the kit to be escorted to the camp entrance and pushed out it.
Howlingnight led Nobodykit out and as he walked him out of camp Nobodykit could catch Rottenkit's stare. He didn't know what they were up to, just like Nobodykit, Rottenkit couldn't have guessed that they would exile one of them.
Just as they began to near the edge of camp Dottymask burst out from the nursery, her ears straight up in alert. Upon seeing Howlingnight walking Nobodykit she snarled, her lips pulling back. Howlingnight turned in time to meet her as she stood almost nose to nose with him. His gaze was colder than ever, but hers burned with hatred. The last time Howlingnight took her adopted kits he had brought them down to the prison to shame them.
"You have no right to take my son anywhere, I am his mother, whatever he did, I can deal with," Dottymask promised.
"Wintrystar's orders, he's going to be exiled for a week."
Dottymask's eyes welled up with tears, "NO!" She screeched at him and immediately tried to pull Nobodykit close, but Howlingnight blocked her away from her kit.
"Leave Nobodykit or someone will chase you out, you don't want to start your journey wounded," Howlingnight advised.
"YOU CAN'T DO THIS! He's just a kit! He's so tiny! He won't last, please, punish me, I failed, I failed him as a mother. You can exile me, I'll suffer." Dottymask was throwing herself at Howlingnight screaming at him as she begged for her sons life before being thrown to the floor as she continued to sob for Nobodykit.
Nobodykit looked between his mother and Howlingnight unsure of what he was supposed to do. He was relieved that she came to his defense but he didn't think that would have helped him anyway. With tears in his eyes, he started off into the harsh frozen tundra.
