Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Wintrystar stood back but spoke up at the mess Dollymask was making of herself. "Really now? You'll take his punishment? You failed him? Then you should have taught him better form the beginning! He acts like his monster of a mother, you may claim him but he acts like her, and I shall not tolerate that in my clan!" Her words her near a shout and in the process of speaking them, she stormed over to take control of the situation herself. Shoving the kit towards the exit, she growled at him to get a move on.
"We'll find you in a week," He said to Nobodykit, but the words felt sour on his tongue. They wouldn't find him alive, this was the last time he was seeing Nobodykit. They were sentencing a kit to death, it was something he would have to learn to get over so he didn't dwell on it.
Dottymask wailed as she watched Wintrystar shove Nobodykit outside of camp, "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE ROTTENKIT!? WHAT DID YOU DO TO YOUR BROTHER!" She shrieked and sobbed into Howlingnight's fur, "He was doing so well," Dottymask said helplessly.
"Pull yourself together Dottymask," Howlingnight said, already sick of her sobbing as he shoved her off of him.
(yes! pao this is the part where Wintrystar can change his name from Nobodykit to Quiveringkit due to his constant shivering)
Snowbunny and Snakefang had been the only cats looking for Nobodykit by the end of the week. Only two cats were allowed to search for the small kit, Snowbunny could guess it was because they didn't want him found. But when the pair did find the tiny kit Snowbunny had been certain the tiny tom was dead. There were crows picking off pieces of his fur and flesh for a grizzly amount of time. Now that Nobodykit was back in camp in the medicine cats den he was suffering from frostbite and his injuries. However the witches were only allowed to help him so much, just enough to get by, not enough to heal him. It was clear Wintrystar's desire was for Nobodykit to wind up dead and if that wasn't possible then it was to make sure he suffered for the rest of his days.
Snowbunny paced the witch's den anxiously as he stared down at Nobodykit, his wounds were scarring, but at least they were closing, but the tiny kit hadn't stopped shaking. He likely never would if he didn't get treatment now.
Snakefang sat near his son, in attempt to see what the Witches would do but he saw that they could only do so much. It pained him to see his own offspring in this condition, unable to stop shaking and scarred. Knowing what it was like outside of camp, during this time of year, it must have been harsh for Nobodykit. What happened that led up this? He could only imagine Wintrystar had something to do with it. His fur bristled with anger and in a moment of absent mindedness, he glared down at the kit. In that moment, Nobodykit opened his crusted eyes to find himself being stared at by a cat with fur bristiled. He had seen that look many times before and he flinched and tightly closed his eyes, wimpering, praying that he wasn't another cat out to get him
"I'm s-sorry! I w-w-won't do it again!" Nobodykit mewed shakily in an attempt to save himself from what was about to come.
Snakfang, hearing the sound of the tiny voice, he remembered where he was and his face softened. "It's okay, Nobodykit, you're safe now," he reassured.
Hearing a familiar voice, the Nobodykit reopened his eyes and looked up at the source. He had heard the voice before when he was younger but he didn't know his name. For some reason though, he believed the words and felt more at ease and closed his eyes.
A small smile spread on Snakefang's face, happy that his son could at least talk. As bad of a condition he was in, he could at least muster enough energy to protect himself. The tom didn't necessarily believe in a higher power but he thanked StarClan they were able to rescue him before he perished in the white wasteland that was WinterClan territory. Now the next thing for Nobodykit to do was to recover, but Snakefang had a sickening suspicion that his current condition will plague him for the rest of his life.
Reports had bene made to Wintrystar the moment Nobodykit had returned to camp. But she had more pressing matters to handle first and waited to visit him until much later. When she did, she found Snakefang present with the kit and the Witches milling about doing their jobs. She gazed upon Snakefang with curiosity, for it was to her knowledge that he was not there for the retrieval of the kit so why was he here now? Was there something she was missing? Wintrystar gazed upon him for a moment before hearing a whimper from the still shivering kit. "Cold, are you? You can't seem to stop shaking." An idea struck her as she gazed upon the kit and the warrior, still curious about why Snakefang was there, theories gathering in her mind as to the possibilities. Surely not..... Well then, best to make an example of the kit of that is the case. "Though, the question should be will you ever stop?" She smiled, wicked and sinister.
(when is she supposed to figure out about Snakefang being the dad?)
(She can have her suspicions but the truth won't come out until bluejay is set free)
Nobodykit refused to speak to her, remembering it was her who sent him away to survive in the wild. His only response was the occasional wimpers that escaped him. Snakefang briefly scowled before answering. As much as he didnt want to treat his own like the trash most cats thought they were, it was for the best. "I'm only here because Snowbunny asked me to be," he lied as he caught Wintrystar staring at him. He stood up to move away from the kit. "From the looks of it, he'll survive but he won't be the same. The shaking will not stop."
"Very well, then he'll be needing a new name. Nobodykit, from now on you shall be Quiveringkit. Due to the fact that you may never stop shivering. Quiet fitting no, Snakefang?" Wintrystar shifted her eyes to him, wondering how he'll answer. Then left the den, "take him back to the nursery when he's fit, Snakefang."
Snakefang dipped his head. "Of course, Wintrystar." Once she had left, he turned his attention to Nobo-, Quiveringkit. The tom shook his head. As much as he hated the name "Nobodykit", his new name wasn't much better. He couldn't deny it either and that made it all the more frustrating for him. He sat back down near him. At least for now, he would let him rest a bit before sending him back to the nursery.
Snowbunny sniffed Quiveringkit to look him over some, but moved back once he finished inspecting him. There was nothing else he could see that was causing him to shiver outside of the frostbite, but it was entirely possible that while the kit was out hunting he damaged his head. Now something in his brain could be making him shiver. He watched Wintrystar leave before turning to Snakefang, "You don't like how the clans treating these kits either, do you? Frostcloud and I have been against it since day one, but we don't know what to do. Wintrystar has control over everyone, right down to who we marry. There's not much of a chance we have to standing up to her for these kits."
Snakefang shook his head and looked at Snowbunny. "Not one bit. Its just not...fair for them. To be seen as demons just because of who their mother is, isn't right." He thought for a moment. Snowbunny was right; there wasn't anything they could do about their situations. "I'm curious about something...You're the Knight of the Stars, right? Being the offspring of the Sun God's creation, you would the Lunar Goddess would want them killed off. For some reason I find it odd that you-" He stopped himself realizing where he was. Since he didn't get injured or sick often, he didn't know the Witches all too well so he couldn't talk freely with them. They could be spies for all Snakefang knew. He shook his head again. "Never mind that. I'll talk to you about that later."
