Lionpride
SunClan Prisoner
The Loveable
That was it. Before he even realized what was happening his paw acted on its on, lashing out hard and fast with claws extended as the dug deep into the High Priest's cheek as he slapped him across the face. The sound echoed through tunnel his large paw only stopping when it connected with stone wall on the other side. His lip curled up in a snarl "Stop trying to give the illusion of choice, I won't play your petty games" he had seen it all before. How Foxbane had manipulated others into doing her bidding. Giving them just enough 'choice' to do exactly what it was that she wanted them to.
"Just go ahead and say what you mean and be done with it. I have had my share of liars and manipulators" the truth was if Bloodystar was able to get a hold of Mousepaw he would have done so already instead of coming here and trying to convince him to go searching for her. And Earthpaw? There was nothing he could do for his son locked up here in the darkness, he would just have to trust that Earthpaw would be able to keep himself safe for now. He had already gotten news that he had been engaged, but thus far he seemed to be doing ok and was relatively unharmed.
Pollendrone was pleased that Perfectkit had been unable to stop the mouse and a hint of a smile pulled at the corners of her mouth as she heard it make contact with Bloodystars face, it was then that Lionpride moved in front of her, making himself into a shield as they waited for the High Priest to react. She tilted her head to see around the incredibly large tom, of course her act hadn't phased the ruthless leader but it had satisfied her enough to keep her quiet for a moment. She listened on carefully as the two went back and forth, hearing the names of Lionprides kits thrown into the mix and noting his reaction to it.
Still, she remained still at least until Lionpride slammed his paw against the stone wall, her ears flattened as the sound echoed around them and she moved quickly leaving the safety he had created for her to stand at his side; her eye locking onto Bloodystar. She let her pelt brush against Lioneprides hoping it would keep him level headed having someone there. "Havent you done us enough damage already? This game you're playing is sick, and I just dont understand how you cant see that." Her words were directed of course at Bloodystar.
Laughter filled the prison as crimson blood ran down the High Priest's face, dripping onto the cold stone floor. It started normal enough but quickly edged toward maniacal, his sides heaving, clearly short of breath. After a few minutes, Bloodystar wiped some of the blood away from his cheek and flicked it against the wall much like how he had done so earlier when he had struck Lionpride.
"I win!" He exclaimed, his eyes filling with shadows, so much so that the green of his eyes were nothing but ribbons against jet, "Every time you break your own rules, I win. You, a pacifist? What a joke! There is not place for such soft-hearted cats in my SunClan... Guards!"
In seconds a couple of SunClan loyalists appeared in the chambers, both of them evidently having waited just outside of the prison this entire time. Bloodystar wasn't stupid. Going down here alone would be a death wish; he was not as strong as Lionpride and certainly was at a disadvantage two against one.
"Hold him back."
The guards shoved Pollendrone aside and pinned Lionpride against the wall, although he would still have full view of what Bloodystar was about to do. Chuckling, he walked circles around Pollendrone, edging closer and closer to her as he did so, "I had high hopes in you, but it seems Lionpride managed to turn you against me. It's a shame. You were a perfect example of SunClan Warrior before all of this," He unsheathed his claws and, in a flash, raked them against her face same as Lionpride had done to him, "I do hope this doesn't scar. You are quite beautiful. Perhaps if you both eat your dinner this evening, I'll allow Mountainsound to attend to your wounds."
He pulled away for a second, seemingly content, but it was a farce. Bloodystar drew bloody yet again on the opposite side of her face. What Lionpride had done to him had been applied to Pollendrone two-fold.
"I pray that the Sun God takes pity upon your wayward souls and guides you back into his all-consuming light."
Pollendrone hadn't expected laughter to fill the small cell, it took her by surprise and the look that fell onto Bloodystars face sent a shiver down her spine, she stood frozen staring until his voice broke her trance and two guards entered the already crowded space. "Wai-" her words cut short as she was shoved to the ground, her brown eyes watching as Lionpride was restrained. They were going to hurt him... but then why was Bloodystar coming towards her? Her eyes followed him as he circled around her, still laying on the stone floor, ears flat against her skull. "You're a monster." She squeaked out as his claws grazed her face and dug into her flesh, she screwed her eyes shut as droplets began to cascade down, mixing with blood. She tried her best not to cry out, even going as far as biting her tongue but as he moved to the other side and did the same a sickening wail escaped her.
Blood was oozing from both sides of her face, her body shaking from the burning pain that was enveloping her but she managed to place her unfocused vision back on the high priest. "I p-pray the same for y-you, Bloodyrondo." It came out a strangled whisper as she lay there choking back sobs.

Lionpride
SunClan Prisoner
The Loveable
Before Lionpride could even clean the blood from his claws, cats began to jump onto him. He thrashed, throwing that first ones into the cave off with ease. However down here and unable to even stand up to his full height he couldn't fight them off for long as they just piling ontop of him until the weight was heavy that he couldn't move any of his limbs. He struggled under their weight as Pollendrone was drug from his side.
As soon as Bloodystar's claws reached her face, a roar of full furry filled the air no longer feeling the claws that cut into his flesh as he struggled to go to her side but was unable to escape his confine
Bloodystar lifted his paw again as if to strike Pollendrone again, but instead he gently cupped the side of her face, careful not to brush against her scratches. It was a tender, almost romantic gesture, "I chose you---" He began only to be cut off by Lionpride's bellows. He flicked his ears back and yelled at the guards to shut him up, which one promptly did by slamming his head to the ground and holding it there, "That's better... I chose you for Lionpride because I had faith that the Sun God's light lived on in your heart... and I am rarely wrong. I will forgive you your transgressions as I hope you will forgive me for the wounds I just inflicted. All things happen for a reason."
She flinched away from his paw as it lifted but couldn't do much in the ways of retreating as he cupped her face, her eyes were dull, she wanted nothing more than for him to just leave but it of course was only wishful thinking. She knew she shouldn't speak again, it would only make the situation worse, not that she even could if she really did want to; the pain she was feeling kept anything's but small cries from leaving her so she simply nodded in defeat. It was the slightest of movements but enough that Bloodystar would hopefully understand she had given up, he had beaten her.

-------------------------------Time Skip---------------------------------- Down in the prison time passed differently than up above. It was difficult to tell if it was morning or night, so they slept when ever they were tired. After watching Pollendrone wasting away, Lionpride had finally given in and began to eat so that she to could eat. He would have held out longer, but he couldn't stand to see her starving because of him. He couldn't help but feel defeated, but Duskslayers advice had held true. The herbs wouldn't do anything unless they acted on their own. He had done his best to scrape the herbs out of the mice but it was impossible to get them all out. Ever since he started taking them, he had been feeling funny and more lonely than ever. All he could think about was Aconite, and occasionally Shadeflower and how much he wished for them to be here... When his eyes opened though, it wasn't Pollendrone there beside of him but Aconite. Tears streaked down his face, his paws reaching out and wrapping around her to pull her close up against his chest "Aconite" he murmured nuzzling up against the soft fur along her neck "You shouldn't be here my love" he licked her cheeks gently to wipe away her tears "no don't cry, I'm here now. We can be together again, with you by my side we can do anything" However it wasn't Aconite that he was holding in his warm embrace, but Pollendrone
Things had started to get bad in the shadows of the prison, injured and refusing to eat, any cat could see that Pollendrone was struggling, she had started sleeping more than she was awake and her focus had dwindled down to the point that when spoken to she remained silent, only giving the slightest movement like the twitch of an ear to indicate she had heard. It had been a rough time, but it had since passed. Lionpride had given in and began eating, she knew he had done it for her, she could see the worry that fell over him each time he looked her way and so she fell in line and ate as well, ignoring the strange feeling she had started to have after awhile. She was now laying sleepily beside the tom when the weight of his paws wrapping around her caused her eyes to flutter open, she was being pulled into his embrace before she could even register what was happening. The part though that caught her most off guard was what he had called her. Aconite. She turned to face him and bit back a pained gasps as she saw the tears rolling down his cheeks, her voice cuaght in her throat leaving her silent as he nuzzled against her. His warmth was comforting, so much so that any thoughts she had of pulling away melted as she leaned closer to his chest. "L-lionpride?" It was only his name but to her there were so many questions wrapped within it, she wasnt thinking straight.

"I have missed you" he murmured his tongue slowly running over her cheek bones soothingly, his front paws puling her in even closer to him. His fluffy tail folding up over her back and tickling along her spine "You have been away for far to long" he knew that she was gone, but it wasn't the first time that he had such a dream. Each time taking solace in being able to tell his first love about how Mousepaw and Earthpaw were doing, to let her worries roll off his tongue and to confess his darkest secrets. "Mousepaw has ran away from SunClan and no one can find her. I'm really worried, you know she has always been sickly... and Earthpaw he is in prison, engaged to be married once he is a warrior. Its all just so wrong...." he paused gazing up into her eyes "But there is something else I need to confess my love, but I'm afraid you won't forgive me" he looked down pressing his nose to Pollendrone's. "Bloodystar wants me to marry again. She is a nice girl, but you will always be my first love. She deserves so much more, but I fear I won't have any choice soon. Bloodystar is relentless, and he keeps hurting her... I can't take seeing her suffer for my mistake... Aconite... please forgive me"
What should she do, what could she do? Her heart ached at his words, words not meant for her ears but those of the she-cat he had loved first and still loved. The strength of feelings hit her hard, reminded her that she was alone, she had never felt a love so deep and all consuming. She stayed pressed against him, allowing him to pull her even closer still and listened to what he had to say, wondering what Aconite would do or say in return, Pollendrone was not his lost mate but if she could provide even the slightest bit of comfort, anything to ease his aching heart she would give everything she had to see him through this. Her heart beat speed up but she let a sad smile form on her lips, doing the only thing she thought would help. "Oh Lionpride, you have suffered so much and for far too long, it hurts to see you this way. You are so strong and care so much for those around you, I know none of this is your doing but I am proud of you, I am so sorry that I'm not able to protect you from all of this." She had meant to try and comfort him as the she-cat he thought she was, but instead her words were her own, while she could not say she was in love with Lionpride she knew deep down she did care for him, so much that she wanted nothing more than to protect him even if it meant she were left defenseless. She paused for a moment, allowing a silence to fall between them, there was an air of calm surrounding them. "You will always have my forgiveness." She whispered, resting her nose against his, hoping, truly hoping that Aconite would give him forgiveness.

Lionpride's heart filled with warmth as her nose touched his, relief flooding over him as relaxed into the embrace of Pollendrone "Your forgiveness means everything to me... Your strength helps me to keep fighting even when things seem so grim. I don't know what will happen next, but I will do my best to protect those that I can" a purr rumbled in his chest "I love you Aconite, and no matter what comes next know that I always will" ----------------------------------------------------------- Lionpride's eyes fluttered open, and though he couldn't see well in the darkness, he could feel something warm pressed against his stomach as he laid on his back. His ears flickered forward, his paw gently reaching upwards tracing along the line of her cheek. He wasn't sure how she had ended up there, but he felt hear rise to his cheeks as he watched her sleeping restfully upon his chest a smile on her face. She looked peaceful for the first time in along time, and he very nearly let her stay there so that she could rest. However it wasn't appropriate, and he could only imagine what Blooddystar would say if he walked in to see her laying there like that "Pollendrone...." he whispered gently trying to wake her, awkwardly trying to slide her to the side without startling her.
She smiled up at him, her eyes glittering with an unreadable emotion, feeling a sense of happiness through the hurt that had settled in her chest, her pain was unimportant in the face of his. She did not return his words of love, but nodded slightly before nuzzling closer to him.

Pollendrone was sleeping deeply for the first time since being imprisoned, her warmth mixed with Lionprides causing a purr to vibrate through her and deepen when she felt the light touch of his paw against her cheek. She was content, still unaware of the exact situation they were currently in or how it may look to someone coming in to witness it. Her breathing changed as she started to wake, the movement beneath her rousing her from sleep, she groaned lightly at the disturbance as Lionpride attempted to move away but it was his voice that finally pulled her back completely into the waking world; her name. She let her eyes flutter open, the memory of their conversation the night before fresh in her mind as she looked down at the tom, still laying over his chest. A wave of embarrassment flooded over her, heat pooling over her face. "S-sorry!" She managed to squeak out the apology as she scrambled away from him, his discomfort visible even in the darkness. "Ah, did you sleep well?" She couldn't bring herself to look directly at him as she spoke.

Lionpride rolled over as she scrambled off of him, his shoulders stiff from staying still so long. He smiled apologetically, choosing not to bring up the awkward position they had woken up in. He could tell that she was just as embarrassed as he was about the whole thing. Honestly he was surprised they hadn't woken up in a similar position before with their prison being so tiny"Yeah.... I must have been sleeping pretty deeply" he joked. "I had a good dream..." he trailed off but didn't talk about it any further "I'm sorry for waking you, I should have just let you rest"
In one moment, the two cats were in prison, so dark and secluded that they could barely even make our each other's forms. Each cat blinked their eyes and opened them to the brilliant light of the Sun, so intense that even if they had expected it they would be squinting. As their senses adjusted they found themselves at the Ceremony Springs. There was not a cloud in blue sky and all around them was lush vegetation, full of edible berries and sweet-smelling herbs as well as the pitter patter of tiny paws and the occasionally chirp of a wren. Lionpride and Pollendrone would have no hunger or pain, just bliss, the weather was perfect and the venue beautiful for a date.

Pollendrone & Lionpride are in a sort of dream world created by Bloodystar's illusions. The scenery is the same for both cats, but the way they see each other is very different. Lionpride: Pollendrone looks like and sounds exactly like his deceased mate, Aconite. Pollendrone: Every time Lionpride says "Aconite" Pollendrone hears her own name.
Pollendrone blinked her eyes against the brightness but smiled as the warmth of the light spread through her, she had all but forgotten what the world looked like after being trapped in the darkness, it was breathtaking. "Lionpride! Isnt it beautiful?" She turned her gaze to the tom, not a trace of distress maring her features, it was as if a switch had been flipped allowing the happiness and joy to return. "I dont think I've ever seen anything so pretty before." The words slipped out effortlessly, her awe filled tone light and airy to match the calm atmosphere. She knew this had to be a dream, but it felt all to real.

At first he was to in awe of the scenery to realize who it was standing at his side. The sun felt so nice against his skin, the sweet scent of sunflowers filling his nose. It was such a relief after being stuffed inside of the damp dark prison for so long. However, the voice that reached his ears, snapped his attention away from the scenery onto her. Aconite... how absolutely stunning she looked, the bright sunlight making her fur glimmer like the first golden light as the run rose above the horizon. He couldn't hide it as the smile slowly spread across his face until it had taken over his entire face. He fell into a play bow, his tail high in the air wiggling to and fro "I have" he flicked a paw upwards tapping her gently on the nose "You"
Before she could answer, he had bounced out of her reach. An invitation to give chase
Her eyes widened at his behavior and his words, she let them melt into her and a purr began as he tapped her nose and hopped back playfully. So lost in the moment her body took control and she crouched playfully with her tail swaying behind her before she bounced forward in pursuit of him with a wide smile spread over her face. A bubble of laughter lifted through the air as she chased him, her paws light as they skimmed over the ground until she pounced toward him poking him gently and jumping back. "Slow poke." She teased softly, her happy smile never faltering.
His warm laughter filled the air, as he surged forward and upwards catching her between his front paws and pulling her close as the two of them tumbled down the ceremony hill landing in a patch of sweet smelling herbs. When they came to a stop he was standing over her, looking down into her eyes "I love you Aconite" with no hesitation he lowered his head pulling her into a passionate kiss giving her no time to protest his attentions. His eyes met hers, as he finally lifted his head to touch his nose against hers "Don't ever leave me, my heart can't take it... Let's run away, Just the two of us. We can go where ever you want to go, so long as you are by my side nothing else matters" it was the words he had always wanted to say to her but never had the chance.
Her laughter mixed with his like sweet music as they tumbled down the hill, his paws wrapped around her, she wanted nothing more than for this to last forever, to never lose this happiness. As they came to a stop at the base of the hill she looked up at him with bright eyes, any embarrassment or discomfort she would normally feel in this position not present as he gazed down at her. I love you Pollendrone. She didnt have time to fully register those words before he was kissing her, her eyes closed and she felt the beating of her heart speed up , but was so lost in the passion that everything besides the two of them slipped away. Her eyes fluttered open when he lifted his head, his request sending a shiver of excitment down her spine. "I wont leave you." She wouldnt, she would stand beside him for as long as he would let her. "Let's go far away, somewhere no one will ever be find." She reached her head up and ran her tongue over his cheek, a new feeling settling over her heart, one she had swore to herself she wouldnt allow. Love.
