Pollendrone lifted her earthly brown eyes to the sky as she stood outside of the tunnels that led into Sunclans camp, the tension that filled the air had been growing and because of it the cream and tortoiseshell she-cat had been spending more and more of her time wondering about when she wasn't fulfilling her duties or helping her father watch over his newest kits. It seemed though that the brunt of the chaos was settling, but she felt this was only the calm before the storm. Littlestar had been put in prison with most of her kin and a large group of others that had lashed out against Bloodystar, it truly was a mess but she remained silent during it all, worried that her family would be targeted if she voiced her opinions; all of which went wholly against everything Bloodystar had done thus far.
She let out a quiet sigh and lowered her head before trotting slowly away from the camp and all of the problems that remained trapped within its walls.

Weed. Was that to be her name now? Is that what she would be referred to as by the rest of her clan? The tortoiseshell curled her lip as he fur bristled. An initiate... under the command of Mountain. She didn’t want to even think about what menial tasks he would ask of her. She paced back and forth in the tunnel, unable to go back to camp just yet. Weed... she was no weed. Her name was Shadeflower, it would always be such. Bloodystar has all but humiliated her. All because she questioned the false deity... this was all wrong! The mottled initiate let out a frustrated howl as she lashed out at the tunnel walls, scraping her claws against the rough stone. “My name is Shadeflower...! I am a Sunclan Warrior...!” She hissed at herself. Everyday she would remind herself of that. No matter what happened, she would remind herself of who she truly is.
Pollendrone had only gotten a few steps away from the tunnels when she heard the outraged voice of another cat echoing out from within, turning sharply with her ears flattened she focused her eyes on the entrance. Shadeflower She let the name flutter through her mind and her eyes widened as at last she realized who it was. "Um, Shadeflower?" She called out softly, she knew the she-cat had been remained but it felt wrong to call her Weed, still slightly scared someone may overhear though she kept a hushed tone. "Shadeflower?" She called again, this time taking the necessary steps forward so that she was now standing with the front half of her body back inside of the tunnels.

She flicked her ears at the sound of her true name. The tortoiseshell turned her head quickly, surprised to see Pollendrone. Weed pinned her ears back as a wave of embarrassment coursed through her. She swallowed thickly as she looked at the ground for a brief moment. “Pollendrone… hello…” She sat down close to the wall of the tunnel. “Are you alright? Is…” Would it be odd for her to ask about Lionpride? The tom’s name died in her throat as she shook her head briefly. “Are you alright? After… the ceremonies? I’m sure you were just as shocked as the rest of us…”
"I could ask you the same thing." She had been shocked by it all, panic had taken over her mind and body and kept its tight grip even after it had ended. "I don't know what I am honestly, but that isn't something you should worry yourself with." It had taken her some time to finally stop the tears that began falling after the ceremony and even now they threatened to return, she shook her head lightly and put on a smile. "You know, you will always be Shadeflower to me." She was hoping to get even the smallest of smiles from the other she-cat, though her words weren't just for show, she meant it. Bloodystar may have taken her name, but he couldn't take Pollendrones right in choosing not to use it.

Weed flicked her ears as she looked at her. She offered the warrior a small smile, though her green eyes shone with a small shimmer of sadness. "Thank you, Pollendrone... that means a lot. Truly..." She said with a soft sigh. The mottled tortoiseshell. "I'm sure the news... the news about the marriages were shocking. I'm so sorry that your choice was taken away from you like that..." The initiate shook her head as her claws slid out of their sheaths. She didn't dare say any more on the matter, unsure of who may or may not be lurking. But her insinuation lay heavy in the air. Bloodystar had truly gone too far this time. She was sure it would only get worse...
Pollendrone flattened her tortoiseshell speckled ears at the sound of her apology, she was not angry but it did upset her considering there was nothing Shadeflower could have done to change it. "Stop it, dont apologize for something out of your control." she paused and rested her tail gently on her companions shoulder. "Besides, I'm more worried about the others than myself, I am sorry... sorry that I didn't speak up while it was all happening." She had wanted to, to jump in between the chaos but she let her fear win, and for that she was greatly disappointed in herself. "That big mountain guy hasn't hurt you right?" She asked it suddenly, remembering the large tom that Bloody had put in charge of her.

"No, he hasn't." Weed said. "If I'm completely honest, I've been avoiding him. I'm a warrior, I refuse to be treated like an initiate." Though she didn't regret standing with Lionpride, she never truly imagined that she would be demoted. Her new name, her new title... it all still burned her. "But you have nothing to be sorry about. You may have been the smartest of us all." Weed said, offering her a small smile. "Have you seen the others? Are they okay? And... well what of Lionpride? Is he alright?
She nodded in agreement with her words, she couldn't say she would do it differently if their roles had been reversed. "I feel like I betrayed everyone by staying quiet though." She still held a small smile, but it was merely a cover, a facade to fool not only herself but those around her. She lowered herself into a seated position, her ears twitching as Weed asked about the other prisoners, Lionpride specifically. It was no surprise to Pollendrone that she would ask, Weed had stood next to Lionpride and supported him, though she didn't think it much deeper than that. "They are holding up well, Lionpride too. Well as well as you could expect being locked up that is, I never realized how dark it was in there." She glanced around at their surroundings, she wasnt even sure she was suposed to be out alone, but no cat had stopped her so here she was.

"You didn't betray anyone." Weed said softly. The mottled tortoiseshell tried to offer her some form of support. She didn't think Pollendrone betrayed anyone by staying quiet. "Everything happened all so fast... you did what you thought was right during the situation you were faced with." She let out a soft sigh as she glanced towards the entrance of the tunnel. "I will never regret speaking out and standing for what was right. I just... I wish it had turned out differently. If I'm honest, I'm not sure what I was expecting out of the situation..." Weed's ears twitched slightly as Pollendrone spoke of the other prisoners and of Lionpride. "They were all so close to being free... I just wish I knew what the high priest was planning. Why it was only the kin of Littlestar he chose.."
Pollendrone didn't comment more on the subject of her silence, she appreciated the comforting words but it did little to change the way she felt about it so there was no reason to push it any further. "You were brave, doing what you did, and I'm sure I am not the only one who thinks that. There's no doubt you are a Sunclan warrior heart and soul, Bloodyrondo seems too blinded by power to see that though." She lowered her voice as the High Priests former name rolled off her tongue, knowing her recent luck one of his goonies was probably not far away. "As for those still in prison, Littlestars kin, I havent been able to figure it out completely... but, I noticed that those of us chosen to be paired with them are ones who have openly supported him or simply not shown any sign of going against him." She paused and looked around for a moment, visibly uncomfortable talking about it in such an open place, but she continued. "Bloodyrondo said that it was my responsibility now, to look after Lionpride and make sure he stayed in his place, I can only assume it is the same for the others."

“He claims it is not to punish Littlestar any longer, but I wonder if she even knows what has become of her family.” She commented dryly. “I have no doubt it is to keep them under his control. To crush any rebellion or justice they may seek on behalf of their mother… He may be hoping that his loyalists will keep them under control… Though, I feel as if there are others like you.” She let out a soft sigh. “Lionpride is a good tom. He will do what he can to make sure nothing happens to you…” Weed looked over at Pollendrone, her whiskers twitching as the air around them grew tense with nerves. She understood the hesitation. Weed couldn’t tell who believed what anymore, or who would say what to Bloodystar. The initiate looked over at the entrance of the tunnel. She wondered for a moment if the pair could sneak away where prying eyes may not find them. The she-cat stood up for a moment, her tail flicking rhythmically as she thought about what she could use as an excuse to take a prisoner outside. “Perhaps we can talk more comfortably outside of the tunnel.”
"You may be right, about him trying to use us to somehow control them, I'll try to find out more though." Her ears twitched a little, she would need to be careful but any information she could find would be worth whatever trouble it got her into. A small smile pulled at her lips when Weed spoke about Lionpride, she new the tom had a large heart and that he cared deeply for others, his family especially. "I know, I've sworn to protect him however I can as well, he has been so strong for everyone else and protected so many, now it's his turn to have some protection." Her brown eyes flashed as she spoke, determined to uphold the promise she had made to herself until the very end.
Pollendrone stood up as Weed did, though she wasnt sure why until she suggested finding another location to talk. "That would probably be a good idea, if anyone says anything though let me handle it. I'm already a prisoner so it wont matter if I get in trouble. We need you out here." She didn't give her time to refuse, turning around and slipping out of the tunnel on quiet paws. "Coming?"

Weed nodded as she stood up once more. Her ears twitched, listening for any sounds that may insinuate that they were being followed as she followed Pollendrone out of camp. She didn't want to say any more about Lionpride. It made her heart ache dully whenever she thought of the warrior now. Pollendrone would be a good match for him, or at least that is what she tried to believe. The mottled tortoiseshell may have started to develop feelings for the gentle tom, but there wasn't much she could do about it now and she wasn't sure if she would have ever acted out on them. She would never want to try and push him into something like that, not after what happened to his former mate. Weed shook out her pelt, and her feelings with it, as she emerged from the tunnel. When she was sure that no one else was around she let out a soft sigh, though her green eyes glinted harshly. "Bloodystar has let his devotion to the Sun god blind him. There is definitely more to this then any of us are seeing, I can just feel it..."
Pollendrone kept a steady pace as the distance between them and the camp grew, her eyes constantly looking around her for signs of life lurking around them. This is what life in Sunclan had become, cats were scared and those who weren't, well they were doing the scaring. "The borders probably aren't safe, but we would still do well to put a good distance between us and camp if we want to avoid attention." She whispered over her shoulder, they weren't technically doing anything wrong, but Bloodystars goonies probably wouldnt care.
She nodded to Shadeflowers comment and let out a sigh. "What we need is for the Sun God to return, if only we knew where he was."

Weed nodded at the mention of the borders. Where could the pair talk freely all while feeling safe? The wastelands? It was too far and far too hot. They would scorch their paw pads on the cracked ground before they even made it to the large set of bones that sat in the middle of the land. Perhaps it would be safer to pretend that they were simply on a walk. An initiate helping a prisoner? Supervising a prisoner. The mottled tortoiseshell flicked her tail. She was sure that the pair would be able to come up with something if needed. "The Sun God will return. And when he does justice will be done, or I hope it will be. I pray that he has not truly abandoned us..."
She started to slow down, listening to Shadeflower, she couldn't believe the Sun God would abandon them but it didn't keep the thought from sitting in the back of her mind. "I hope that as well, maybe we should hunt a little, so we don't go back empty pawed." She was also hungry, she hadn't been eating much since being ordered to sleep in the prison cell.

Weed flicked her ears. At the thought of hunting her claws instinctively slid out of their sheaths as she kneaded the ground. "A hunt sounds like a great idea." She said with a soft smile. "Have they been feeding you? And the others? I used to bring prey back to the prisons for Lionpride and the others. I was worried that they didn't get fed enough by the guards.."
Pollendrone froze, her eyes on Shadeflower as she struggled to find something to say in response. "They feed us, it just isn't as much as we are used to." That was a simple and straight forward enough answer, and it was technically true. She didn't want to give Shadeflower enough room to question her further so she took the opportunity to slip through a patch of undergrowth. "Lets meet back here once we are finished." She called as the tip of her tail vanished from sight.

The tortoiseshell couldn't help but feel confused at the rushed answer. Weed didn't want to push Pollendrone for further information, but she couldn't stop her curiosity from getting the better of her. Were they not feeding her as much and she just didn't want to say? Were the guards giving them spoiled meat? Before she could ask, Pollendrone had disappeared beneath a dense path of undergrowth. "Oh... Well, yes alright...!" Weed called after her, but confusion danced in her green eyes as she stared at the space where Pollendrone had disappeared. What was she hiding from her? Was she afraid that the initiate would tell Bloodystar? No that couldn't be the case. The mottled she-cat only shook her head as she continued forward
