After kidnapping the two DayClan cats Kotori had told Flamingstar she would be sent a personal servant to assist her and explained it would be his daughter Lelia. He warned her that she was fickle about loyalty and would mouth off, but felt the two could either get along or at the very least Lelia would be useful. She was being paid by him and so long as he did she wouldn't betray Flamingstar, nor would he tolerate even his own daughter betraying Flamingstar. So it was about a week later that Lelia showed up to NightClan's border. Pampered satin white bengal fur shined like moonlight even in the dusky atmosphere. Her body was a true huntress model displaying league trained perfection with muscle toned looks and a radiant healthy aura, like that of a celestial being. She looked untouchable, like a star out of paws reach. Yet in the same sense like purified water, like one murky touch could ruin her fragile genetic perfection purity.
Lelia's ears pricked, listening closely for any signs of someone approaching. She was told to meet with Flamingstar and Flamingstar only, should anyone else happen along before her she was meant to hide immediately. Her perfect appearance wasn't something she was modest about either, she knew she was overqualified for this. But it also wasn't like a better mission was going to be sent her way anytime soon, this was the best kind of action she'd gotten all year.
Flamingstar was fashionably late, not caring whether or not she kept daddy's little princess waiting. Kotori had promised a personal assistant but his daughter wasnt what she had in mind. The last thing she wanted was the daughter of her fling snooping around Nightclan but Kotori insisted. The flame colored she-cat halted at the forest edge and peered through the ferns to where Kotori's daughter sat waiting for her. The Nightclan leader narrowed her turquoise eyes. This was going to be good. Flamingstar stepped from her cover to reveal herself, fog settling eerily on the forest behind her. The dim light from what was visible from the moon illuminated her turquoise eyes, giving them the impression that they were glowing. A disgusted look was plastered on her face and she looked the perfect little she-cat up and down. "You must be Lelia" Flamingstar assumed, never seeing Lelia before. She must have been born into the league after Flamingstar left.
"Hm, you must be my dads new favorite," She smiled a little too politely looking her up and down, "I thought you would look more his type."
She placed her ivory claw to her lips in thought for a moment before departing them, "Yes, I am Lelia," She said with a deep bow of her head, "Pleasure to be in your presence. I wish to be your personal servant wherever you may need me.” She had a sophisticated French accent, it was soothing yet held a sly demeanor in between its rhythms. She had likely grownup somewhere far from here, which wasn’t too surprising as her mother had traveled through many distant parts of the world. Still she did not lift her head up, waiting to be approved by Flamingstar. For being judgmental it seemed she still held respect to her authority and power.
"Hm, indeed I am" Flamingstar responded, slightly offended by the way she had worded things as if Flamingstar was just one of his collection of she-cats. She wondered why his daughter thought Flamingstar wasnt his type. What was considered his type? "Very well. Come with me. I will show you where you will be staying" Flamingstar added, accepting Lelia. At least shes polite she thought, turning on her heels and heading toward the Nightclan camp. The leader had made a special place for Lelia to stay while she was here. As they walked together, Flamingstar made small talk to get a feel for what Lelia wanted from Nightclan and see if she was worthy of it. "How long do you plan to stay?"
"For as long as you require my presence and expertise, I will remain only a shadow away," Lelia responded, she had a very sly way of talking with a more attractive and feminine tone coming off seductive. Typically she was daddies little girl, but she could tell that Flamingstar clearly outranked her now that she was in the picture. Kotori had lectured her, made her repeat back information, and threatened to confiscate her collections if she didn't behave herself. She was in Flamingstar's services from now until forever if that is what Flamingstar wished. Normally she wouldn't be walking on eggshells, but she wasn't certain what her father would do if Flamingstar spoke negatively about her to him.
"Is there an evaluation in order for me to pass your expectations?" Lelia asked, her crystalline blue eyes turning to Flamingstar. Her eyes were ice white like diamonds, glittering like the starlight above.
Flamingstar shook her head, "No. Just do what you came here for and if you do well, I will have a good report for your father. If you do not, he will know about it." Flamingstar kept walking, keeping her chin high. "Did your father put you up to this or is this something you wanted?"
She opted to ignore the fact that Flamingstar had a lot to hang above her head. After all Lelia was a professional, she could handle whatever was thrown her way. "Yes he did push for me to do this, but in my defense I have not affiliated to any organization in moons. I only just caught up on clan politics to know enough about who you are and what has occurred during my absence. This is a nice change of pace compared to other organizations I have served. Be assured that I find you to be a valuable person and hope to prove to you that I am a valuable asset despite what you must have heard about me."
She's saying all the right things... Flamingstar thought to herself, taking mental notes of what Lelia was saying to her. "Well, if you plan on staying a while, we might want to discuss whether or not you would want a warrior name."
"A warrior name sounds absolutely delightful, I believe it would be dishonorable of me not to take one as it will help me fit in, which in turn will allow me to perform my job properly. What warrior name would you suggest, Flamingstar?" Lelia asked politely, never missing a beat. It was like she rehearsed everything she was saying, anticipated every question and comment Flamingstar would have.
"Sounds like a lovely pet name, I'll take it," Lelia agreed before looking at Flamingstar, "if you would like I can get started. Typically I figure out who isn't a loyal follower to you, make you aware of these people and then typically I help with brainwashing them into your allegiance, nothing too fancy."
"Brainwashing, hm?" Flamingstar pondered. Brainwashing wasnt entirely her thing but there were still members of Nightclan that were still loyal to Burningstar, Larkwing, and Soaringstar. She needed to get everyone on her side. Would she really consider brainwashing, though? It seemed rather cruel but then again, Flamingstar was a villian. "Alright. I like your style. Sounds like a good plan." She agreed as they neared the camp. "Careful, now. The path is a bit steep and narrow." She warned as she made her way down the path that led into the cenote. Just at the end of the path, the wall opened up to a massive cavern. The air was much cooler and damper the further down they went but nonetheless breathtakingly beautiful. "Unfortunately, you will be staying in the prisoners camp. Dont be alarmed. We are low on prisoners and there is a Guard at all times."
As they entered the cavern, Flamingstar veered to the left where the cavern blended into a separate cavern. Between them, a guard stood, watching. Flamingstar nodded a passing greeting and entered the other cavern. The cavern were lined with smaller caves where the prisoners slept. There was running water and a measly pile of prey. "You dont have to drink from the water, though it's quite refreshing and you dont have to eat what is on that pile. You are more than welcome to eat from the pile in the main cavern." She explained. She led the snowy Bengal she-cat to a specific cave that moss draped the entrance. Inside, a comfortable, mossy nest laid. It was lined with feathers and completely private. "None of the prisoners should take this. If they try, you have my permission to teach them a lesson or you can just tell the guard or me."
Tigerlily carefully stepped across the rough terrain, she truly looked like a tigress in her graceful strides funneling along the obstacles like silvery waters trickling down a rivulet pattern. "I hadn't anticipated your land would partially remind me of home, it's très beau."
The mist followed her inward tickling her spine, she must have looked like a cat forming out of the mist to the guard as she passed them by with a wave of her tail. "I did not know NightClan had a prison, very interesting," She commented keeping her emotions to herself on whether she was judging or approving. Her paw pads stopped near the small cavern, "It's perfect, mer- thank-you," Her cheeks blushed faintly with embarrassment for fumbling with her words. Her cool demeanor returned back quickly, "If I am sleeping in the prisoner camp, does that make me your pretty prisoner pet? If so, I'm charmed," She purred as she fell back onto the soft bed of moss cuddling into the beddings side with glorious delight, "Mmm, so soft," She groaned slightly at the luxury.
"Oh yes, we do have a prison. It's where we keep any trespassers or unwelcomed new comers. If a prisoner finds interest in joining us, they may pass an initiation and prove to us they are worthy to join Nightclan before they are welcomed as a full member." Flamingstar explained. "You are a guest but I thought you would enjoy a room to yourself." The ginger Nightclan leader was relieved to see that Tigerlily was enjoying her room. Even if she didnt, she could have shoved her in the already crowded den of the warriors but because Tigerlily was her fling's daughter, she had to have a comfortable place to stay. Hopefully she doesnt go tell her father that Flamingstar made her stay in the prisoner's camp. Tigerlily was a big girl and quite fit. If anything happened with the prisoners, she could handle it. "I'm glad you like it. Again, apologies that it had to be with the prisoners but there were no open caves in the main cavern."
"Thank-you, however this arrangement is perfect," Tigerlily reassured with a slight pur in the back of her throat. Sitting up in bed now she looked at Flamingstar, less seriously, but with more adoration, "How about I get to work being your personal servant for the night, that way I know all the things you want and things you never knew you wanted. Then the following night I can start the process of looking into each NightClan cat for where their loyalty lies. Yes?"
Her diamond blue eyes lit up in surprised, "You would allow me to waste a whole night acquainting myself with my environment?" Tigerlily asked, "I don't know if that would be okay, I'm here to serve you and I would not want you to think of me as lazy." Her blue gaze rippled with worry as her distrust only flared up. What if Flamingstar's intentions were to mess her up so she could say that she didn't work and Kotori would lose all trust in her? That way Flamingstar would have more control over him and her. After all, the way Kotori spoke to her he made it clear she belonged to Flamingstar to serve her.
"Uh, er, no. I-I mean, yes. I mean-" she cleared her throat, collecting herself once more. "If you'd like, you may take time to get comfortable. Perhaps eat and mingle a bit. Explore the caverns or have one of my subjects to give you a tour. Just to familiarize yourself with your surroundings. However, if you would like to get to work, I suppose you could polish my throne. It hasnt been done since Creampuff was my servant. Or perhaps you could trim back some of the vines and the moss that is beginning to over grow the entrance to the cavern. There's much to do for me so if work is what your looking for right this moment, I have plenty. But of course my offer about you settling in first still stands."
Tigerlily looked hesitant for hardly a moment before getting up out of bed and over to Flamingstar's side, "Maybe, if I can be forward, we could grab a bite to eat and then I can observe how your nightly life is and along the way maybe pick out some people of interest as well as jobs I can be working on tomorrow."
Flamingstar thought for a moment before nodding. "Very well. That sounds sensible. Shall we?" She mewed, turning to lead her newest servant to the main cavern. Before they reached the prey pile, a familiar black and white she-cat intercepted Flamingstar.
"Excuse my interruption, Flamingstar" Echomelody mewed, dipping her head in forced respect. "But I thought you should know that we picked up traces of rogue across our border near the rogue lands. They didnt come far into the territory but they did cross the border. It is possible they chased prey onto our land and crossed the scent line by mistake." Although Echomelody was being polite, there was something off about the she-cat.
Flamingstar nodded, "Thank you, Echomelody. We will increase patrols on the rogue border. Mistake or not, I will have no rogues on my territory." Her voice was stern and there was an irritable edge to it.
Echomelody's dipped her head but her green eyes caught Tigerlilly's. There was a look of uncertainty and distrust on her face.
Flamingstar cleared her throat. "Is there a problem, Echomelody?"
The black and white warrior's gaze widened. "Oh no. I-I was just-"
"My business is my own." There was now a warning in Flamingstar's voice. "You are dismissed."
"But-" Echomelody pressed.
"Dismissed!" Flamingstar yelled, her voice echoing throughout the caverns, making everyone stop and stare. After Flamingstar gave the rest of the clan a stern look, they all went back to their duties. Echomelody had dipped her head and was already rushing off. The Nightclan leader let out a frustrated sigh, rubbing her temples. "No respect" she mumbled under her breath as she led Tigerlilly to their plentiful prey pile.
