Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
in this thread, the cadets of renegade regime have entered winterclan territory through the elaborate tunnel system. however, winterclan doesn't know that, and finds the kids intruding. they don't smell where they came from, and winterclan is unsurprisingly not happy about the intrusion.
Cadet Zion pounced into a mound of snow, his white body vanishing entirely like mist dissolving in air. A second later his snowy white head popped up from the top of the snow hill. His giddy grin shining brightly in the harsh sunlight as he pushed himself free from the snow and slid down the hill neatly to the bottom where the other cadets were. His eyes were almost impossible to see, his moppy white fur blocking most of his sight like a sheepdog. "This place is AHWE-SOME" He exclaimed further rolling in the snow to create a little snow angel before, once again, hopping up to his paws and racing off to discover the land further. Being a scout he was pretty good at detecting scents and knowing the land, but this cold windy territory was hard to navigate. He wouldn't even be able to tell there was a clan here until he reached a tree and currently he was in the field lands where the wind blew scents from all different areas.
"Haha! This is amazing, this place his chock full of snow! It's like the WaterClan of snow," Cadet Zion laughed as he looked up and down at every little thing. This was his new favorite place! He wasn't sure if there would ever be anything cool to hunt here though. He stood still for a moment, the wind soaring in and out of his fur. Let's see...
This was a cold field land full of snow, however he could tell that the wind ravaged this area frequently causing patches of grass to show. This would lure rabbits and likely mice burrows. Meaning that owls would likely swoop near as well as hawks. So while the territory was barren he looked empty, he could tell from the lands resources that this was a good hunting ground and if it was a good hunting ground... He glanced around shortly, attempted to catch scent of another cat, but this type of wind felt icy and foreign on his tongue, it numbed his ability to catch scents. Well it felt like someone should be here, but maybe this wasn't a cats territory and just free hunting!
Frostcloud was patrolling with the border patrol that had been assembled that morning when the wind carried the sounds of excited shrieking. Narrowing her cold eyes, Frostcloud turned her head in the direction of the sound. "Hey, did the rest of you hear that?" She asked out loud to her patrol, wondering that perhaps it was just some poor animal caught in a trap and the sound was bouncing off the mountains.
Lionwhisper long strides placed him ahead of the patrol group. His amber eyes seemed to glow brighter against the white backdrop of leaf-bare as they scanned the horizon ahead instinctively. His calculated and careful movements quickly came to a halt when the sound of shrieks hit his ears. He turned back towards the direction of the sounds, his brows knitted across his serious expression which only shifted towards concern. The sound was definitely something unique to the tom. It was hard to decipher the tone, but it was worth checking out. His gaze landed back to Frostcloud and the rest of the patrol. "I rather be safe than sorry." Lionwhisper spoke up, his tone monotone and calm, but a mixture of intrigue and concern in his expression revealed his truest emotions. He walked through the group, taking a long look at Frostcloud before stepping forward towards the direction of the sounds. "Let's move out." He called back to the rest of the group as he began to track his way towards the direction of the squeals.
Frostcloud held Lionwhisper's gaze as he walked passed her, inwardly curious why he had looked at her. She hadn't done anything wrong. Irritation boiled up inside her, assuming he had been looking at her for the wrong reason. She wrinkled her nose. Just because he was wise didn't mean he was a better knight than her. She gritted her teeth and followed him with grace, refusing to let him see her frustration. Besides, she needed to focus on the task at hand. There were strange noises being heard.
"Cadet Zion, wait for me!" Cadet Louella poked her cinnamon tabby head out of the tunnel they had used to access this territory with a sour expression on her face. As useful as she knew the tunnels were, she really did hate them, mainly because it was impossible to keep clean. It wasn't so noticeable against her brown pelt but she could see every speck of dirt on Zion's white one. She sighed and pulled her skinny little self out of the opening.
The young cat blinked as the hyper-bright scene momentarily shocked her senses. Cadet Louella had just spent several hours in near void-black conditions; this world was the opposite. It reminded her of what Lorah had called "snow globes" back when she lived in the League. Sure, she had seen snow before, but never this much of it. The biting cold was already eating at her paw-pads, "Where even are we? UGH we are going to get so muddy on our way back!"
The cadet let out a frosty breath and then buried her muzzle into the red scarf she had around her neck. She was very thankful that she'd worn it instead of something lighter; it was frigid cold! As much as she wanted to complain, though, she had to admit that this place offered a lot of possibilities. She wasn't in the biggest hurry to leave.
Cadet Coriander didn't know why she was there, she was a raiser in training, but when the other cadets mentioned going out she felt the need to tag along to possibly attempt keeping an eye on them. "Will you guys slow down, it's hard to walk in the snow!" Her calico pelt was bright against the white as she trudged forward, continually sinking up to her belly in the cold fluff. Despite the trouble she was having and her nerves, it was beautiful.
Wolfbee followed the patrol, her ears peeking at the distant noise Frostcloud was referring to, but she remained silent and followed Lionwhisper.
Cadet Zion's ears perked up, the mountains were quiet, which made it easy for him to hear the approaching patrol, "Hey someone's coming. Heh, do you think they're rogues?" He asked, grinning back at his patrol of cadets. Slowly though things began to click. The mountain land, the snow, the prey large amount of prey, this was-
"Oh my Blind Protector, are we in WinterClan? Dang, we tunneled through a mountain," He said looking back in the tunnels direction with an impressed look. He wasn't sure if any Renegade Regime cat ever came to the mountains, he was pretty sure they never did. FallClan, sure, but WinterClan, never. This was kind of exciting, but at the same time he had enough self preservation to know they should probably hide, "Someone's coming," Cadet Zion said said in a lower voice, calm, but firm enough that the other cadets would know they should all hide. He padded towards the snow bound, his tail dusting his paw prints behind him so he wouldn't leave a trail and carefully ducked inside making sure to leave a tiny hole for him to breathe through.
life is a lot, and I'm sorry for how much it impacts me here

Asterblossom had volunteered as soon as she heard Wolfbee was joining a patrol that needed one more cat. The young warrior was always up for time spent with Wolfbee and as they carried out their duties she enjoyed the occasional brush of her fur against the other she-cats. The day seemed wonderful and soft, a day in WinterClan like any other. But when they all heard the noises, the she-cat padded along slower, filled with apprehension. Unsure of the source, it was vital that they all be on their guard.
Cadet Louella saw Cadet Zion duck down and groaned before following his lead into a similar hiding place. She sneezed as she knocked some snow powder loose and wrapped her tail around her skinny frame, shivering slightly. Sure, she was a long-haired cat, but her pelt was not that thick and she was not used to such low temperatures. It was annoying, but at least she was calm. Being in foreign territory did not scare her one bit. She peaked her head ever so slightly out of her snowy nook and saw Asterblossom's tail brush across the snow. Dang. I wonder what'll happen if we get caught?
Lionwhisper padded ahead carefully, his amber eyes shinning brightly as they searched on ahead, his large ginger ears twitching in anticipation for the unknown. The group came upon a clearing that was clearly disturbed, the fresh powder snow ran a muck with paw prints. The Knight's brows furrowed as his nose took to the snowy field, taking in the distinctive smell with a stony expression "Renegade Regime" He spoke up quietly, his deep voice vibrating with a hint of a growl as his amber eyes darted around. "Keep your eyes open for-" Before the ginger giant could continue, a small sneeze interrupted his warning. He turned suddenly behind him, in the direction of Asterblossom, realizing by the look in the groups eyes that the sneeze was not from their group...
Firgidpaw had stayed in the middle of the group, still learning the ropes and not wanting to become lost in the winter wonderland they called home. The orange tom flicked his ears, searched for more of that noise. Did it come from over there? Nor that way? It was hard to figure it out when you used to sound bouncing off of snow, ice, and the wind carrying it. These things were all new and interesting to the new student and important to learn. He'd kept close all the way through the search of the source of the noise. But then he was puzzled. How had the regime gotten all the way out here? His eyes went to Lionwhisper than Frostcloud in search of what they should do. The two knights were the leaders of the patrol group, and who he was sure his mentor would want him to stick close to since he was a knight as well.
Frostcloud narrowed her eyes in suspicion as she heard the sneeze. The white knight walked slowly over to the snow bound that the sneeze had come from. She rounded the mound first, checking to see if the noise had come form behind it. There was no sign of a cat. Then, Frostcloud's lips pulled back into a smile as an idea came into mind. These cats were smart but Winterclan cat's knew all the tricks. The white she-cat dug at the mound until a muzzle and two pairs of eyes could be seen from her hole. "Well, welll" Frostcloud grinned when she had uncovered one of the intruders. She gripped Cadet Louella by the scruff and dragged her out of the mound and set her in front of the Winterclan patrol, unbeknownst that two more cadets were taking cover nearby.
Cadet Zion's ears flattened hearing Cadet Louella be pulled out, but remained still as a stone. He wasn't about to leave unless he heard she was in danger, but was certain nothing would escalate. Majority of Regime cadets were the most harmless cadets than any other clan. Only mercenaries knew how to fight which none of them were.
Cadet Bumble had scented other cadets going down a tunnel that veered under WinterClan territory. The yellow tabby she cat followed their trail concerned as there had been some tensions there.
As she walked she could smell WinterClan strongly, along with strong smells of fresh air. She was close to an opening.
Carefully she slowed her pace, dropping into a crouch as she neared the opening. Then she crawled out of the tunnel, trying to poke her head out.
And immediately caught sight of the cats.
She drew back into the tunnel ears flattening. She could scent other cadets, were they still in the area? Carefully she poked her head back out again trying to gauge how many cats there were.
Cadet Corriander out of fear had simply birried herself in the snow under a bush, it was a dumb mistake because she hadn't left a big enough space or opening to breathe properly so here she was on the verge of panic while taking small gasps that were half air and half snow.
Wolfbee could feel they were getting close, she slowed her step until she was beside Asterbloom, her body was tense as her eyes scanned through the snow.
Frigidpaw's eyes went wide at the sight of a regime cat. So far he'd only heard of the other clans and groups, this would be his first time meeting any of them. Trying to be intemadating, he let out a growl and ruffled his fur. Hopeful that'd make him look like a threat.
