[[ So Asterblossom is a cat that was brought into WinterClan as a kit, because she doesn't really have WinterClan blood she was bullied as a kit and as a result has a very meek, nervous personality and is kinda just always one second from abandoning WinterClan. I want her to find a mate who sees her value and just kinda inspires her. I know its very basic, but she's a cat I want to develop her into a confident cat. She's bisexual, so either tom or she-cat is fine~]]
The sun was beginning to set just as Asterblossom padded up to the frozen lake, this was her very favorite spot in WinterClan. The young soldier carried a mouse with her, brought from camp, and she placed it at her paws and took a deep, steadying breath. The day had been a long one for the dark gray cat, with two patrols and training a new student. But at this moment she felt calm.
The evening often brought a profound sense of peace to her, a sense of possibility. She was young and unhappy, desperately grasping to the hope of sudden change in life. Excitement. She'd often thought of leaving WinterClan but at the end of everyday as she watched the sun sink and shine over the frozen lake, she always convinced herself to stay. Though she wasn't truly WinterClan and was often haunted by that, this remained the clan she loved.
"Watch out!" The warning shout was accompanied by an unappealing skidding of claws on the cold, frozen earth as Wolfbee was rapidly propelling toward the unsuspecting she-cat by the lake. The soldier had been chasing a mouse along the lake side when her paws made contact with a patch of ice that sent her flying, in her effort to stop she began to tumble only aware of the other cats presence in time to call out before slamming into her, sending them both to the ground. "Ow, that was graceful... Oh mouse-dung! Are you okay?" Wolfbee hastily got to her paws and looked at Asterblossom, her calico tabby pelt covered in snow so only her green and brown mixed eyes were clearly visible.

Asterblossom let out a shocked yowl when Wolfbee ran into her, sent to the cold ground by the force of the impact. They squished her mouse, which was disgusting, and she had to shake mouse out of her fur when Wolfbee let her up. "Um," Asterblossom wasn't angry, just thoroughly surprised that a cat just flattened her, "I'm fine, are you alright?" Wolfbee was a clanmate, one she'd seen, but one she had had no real connection with, so this was uncomfortable. Would Wolfbee realize who she was? That she was one of the cats without WinterClan blood? Was Wolfbee one of the cats who cared? It made Asterblossom feel closed off and she backed up one pace, her fur itchy with nerves and embarrassment.
The calico she-cat shook the white flakes from her pelt revealing the orange, grey and white tabby pattern that flowed over her body. She looked at Asterblossom with a worried gaze but let out a sigh of relief knowing she didn't injure her, Wolfbee was much larger than the average cat and she always worried her size would get someone hurt. "I'm okay, oh... Asterblossom, your mouse." Her eyes lowered to what was left of the creature, now flattened and torn. "I've ruined your meal, I know, I'll catch you a new one!" She knew of the soldier, heard her name spoken by others, but had never actually talked to her before.

Asterblossom felt suspicion flare in her heart, as it usually did when a clanmate was too friendly, but she stifled it. "Oh," she replied, glancing at the flattened mouse, "don't worry about it, it's totally fine, Wolfbee." Her dark gray pelt remained splattered with a bit of mouseblood, so she excused herself for a moment and rolled in the snow, the cold frozen water soaking to her skin and making her shiver. She stood and looked at Wolfbee, unsure of what to say or do now. "Thank you," she offered after a moment of silence, "for offering to catch another mouse, I appreciate it."
The she-cat sat down as Asterblossom cleaned her pelt, glancing back and forth from the ground below her paws to the she-cat as she rolled in the snow. "It's no problem, though I do wish you would let me catch you a new one, it is my fault the one you had is ruined." She could have given her the mouse she was chasing, if she had actually caught it, an embarrassed chuckle vibrated in Wolfbees throat as she recalled slipping on the ice.

"I wasn't really all that hungry anyway," she promised, brushing it off. The sun continued to sink and Asterblossom's gaze was drawn to it, this was her routine. She'd watch the sun sink under the frozen lake as she ate her evening meal. She didn't desire to break her little tradition, but she also didn't want to appear rude. So, she decided to be friendly instead of usual self-imposed isolation. "Um, Wolfbee, I usually like to watch the sun set. Would you... would you like to join me?"
Wolfbee nodded, she made a mental note to bring the she-cat a new meal at some point, but did not push the matter any further. As she was about to turn and leave, Asterblossoms question stopped her in her tracks. "Join you? I would like that very much." Turning to face the frozen lake she moved to Asterblossoms side and sat down, still a little in shock by the invitation. Wolfbee was not used to things like this, despite her confident and outspoken nature, her above average size and seemingly cold eyes were normally intimidating to others and so she was labeled as such; something she never did let bother her.
"Beautiful." It was a whispered thought, her eyes not on the sunset, but instead watching the setting rays dance on Asterblossom pelt.

Asterblossom felt their fur brush just slightly, surprised by the little shiver it caused her. The young cat didn't often speak to others, let alone sit and watch a sunset in her favorite spot, but this was... nice. Asterblossom relaxed and leaned a little bit towards Wolfbee with her eyes locked on the sunset, letting their fur brush again. She was inexperienced with feelings like this, never having so much as a crush growing up. But she knew that she was attracted to Wolfbee. And as they sat their she thought to herself, who wouldn't be? Wolfbee was kind and beautiful, with a smooth voice and soft fur.
The young gray cat didn't see Wolfbee look at her, only heard her whisper and nodded, her mind filled with Wolfbee instead of the splendid sunset over the lake, "yeah, isn't it?"
The calico she-cat felt a small shiver run through her as Asterblossoms pelt brushed hers ever so slightly, the sensation was enough to cause Wolfbee to lean into it so that their side were pressed gently together. She had never felt this way about anyone before, but as she sat there watching the sunset with Asterblossom, she knew she didn't want it to end. "It truly is." Wolfbee turned her eyes to the setting sun and wrapped her tail around the she-cat with a soft smile on her face.

[[ so Wolfbee is the cutest ever ]]
Asterblossom leaned into the embrace, her own tail wrapping around Wolfbee in turn. Apparently, whatever Asterblossom was feeling Wolfbee felt much the same way. It shocked Asterblossom, mainly because in a clan as rigid and proud as WinterClan, Asterblossom was usually steadfastly ignored. But Wolfbee seemed to see her. Not only see her, but see something in her. It filled Asterblossom with emotions ranging from deep hurt to hopeful joy. "What's happening?" She whispered, eyes on the sunset that was now almost completely gone, leaving inky darkness with streaks of orange and pink. She had to know what Wolfbee was thinking.
Wolfbee felt a purr rumbling deep in her chest, the sun had set far too fast, knowing that they would be returning to camp soon and the happy bubble she had found herself in would burst. As she let herself sink further into the warmth that surrounded her, blocking the chill of the evening air, Asterblossoms whispered question drew her attention. "Whats happening?" She mulled over the question, her eyes lingering on the grey she-cat. "I like you, Asterblossom. I've never met anyone like you, it may be due to your lack of Winterclan blood and if it is I'm grateful because you're sweet, you don't think like the others do." She was nervous sharing what she was thinking, but she wanted to be honest with how she was feeling.

Wolfbee confirmed her biggest fear, that her lack of WinterClan blood was noticed. But she seemed to appreciate it. And that warmed Asterblossom and made her heart feel full. "You," Asterblossom sighed, trying stubbornly to remain practical, "you should probably be with a cat of better blood, you know how much bloodlines matter in WinterClan." The thought made her sad, her and Wolfbee were by no means in love, but Asterblossom felt a stirring, a possibility, and it made her eager to explore it. And it also made the thought of it fizzling out depressing.
Wolfbee listened carefully, a feeling of sadness gripping her as Asterblossom continued to speak, she shouldn't feel this bad but despite having only spent moments with the she-cat, something was pulling her, telling her not to give up. "I refuse to believe that, our blood may be of two different origins and I can't say no cat will whisper, but I can say I wont give up on this feeling you've stirred within me." Her two toned eyes were soft but serious as she gazed down at Asterblossom. "Don't you think I... we have the right to choose who we want to be with?" As her words began to fade the large calico she-cat gently rested her forehead against Asterblossoms.

Asterblossom closed her eyes, feeling her forehead resting against Wolfbee, and drew her courage from that. "Okay, Wolfbee. The whispers, the uncertainty... I feel it may be worth it. Because, I know this may sound ridiculous, but I feel something. Something worth sticking around for." Her earlier thoughts of leaving the clan had evaporated. She felt, for the very first time, connected to WinterClan. She had a reason to stay. It was new and maybe it wouldn't work out, but Asterblossom wanted to risk it.
A loud purr rumbled in her chest, she never thought she could be this happy but here she was. "I promise you wont regret it, and I cant wait to see where this goes." Wolfbee rubbed her forehead gently against Asterblossoms before moving it away so that she could look at her. "May I come watch the sunset with you again tomorrow?"

Asterblossom felt jubilant and.... terrified. Wolfbee moved away from her and asked her a question, Asterblossom managed a sweet little, "of course, I wouldn't have it any other way, Wolfbee." The weird fear built up more, like a fear of Wolfbee being just a fleeting moment. Would she still feel the same about Asterblossom tomorrow? Uncertain and feeling needy, Asterblossom bravely cuddled into Wolfbee more and rubbed her head under Wolfbee's chin, purring softly and closing her eyes to absorb the moment.
Wolfbee was caught off guard by Asterblossoms sudden show of affection, not expecting the normally shy she-cat to move in closer as she did. It was a comforting feeling, to be wanted and so the large feline rested her chin gently on top of her head, softly purring as she stared at the disappearing sun.

Wolfbee was like spring to Asterblossom's winter-dead heart and she felt incredibly safe in this moment. But she knew they both needed sleep and she also didn't want to subject Wolfbee to any unwanted questions. So, after just a few more minutes in comfortable silence, Asterblossom withdrew and stood, "will you walk back to camp with me?"
