Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
(Anyone can jump in at any time in this thread! Also, in this thread, they will find out what the two-legs are up to)
Larkwing was leading a patrol to the Sunclan border today to check on the border scents. The sun was sinking below the horizon, casting long shadows across camp. The stars were just becoming visible through the darkening sky and the moon shown like a claw on the opposite side of the sky from the sun. Fireflies began to wake, lighting up the shadows caused from the departing sun. This is a good night for a patrol, he thought, unbeknownst of the danger they were about to confront that night.
He waited for the rest of his patrol, patiently. He knew it was early for most cats and he didn't mind waiting. He gave himself a quick wash, grooming his silver tabby fur soft and sleek. As the moon climbed higher in the sky by each passing moment, despite how small the moon was that night, it still seemed to give his silver fur a nice glow.

Tallflower pushed her way out of the nursery, she had asked if she could be part of the patrol as her kits were old enough to be alone now and would soon he apprentices. She needed to time away having been stuck in camp since her littles were born, she looked up to see Larkwing waiting and trotted up to him. "Hey Larkwing, it's a good night for a patrol don't you think?"
Larkwing nodded a greeting to his clanmate, "it sure is! Welcome! Glad you could come with us tonight. Its been a while!"
Echomelody padded up, her slightly kinked tail held high in the air. "Hello, Larkwing, Tallflower!" She greeted sweetly. The black and white she-cat was excited to be out on a patrol tonight. Especially a border patrol. Perhaps they would see a Sunclan patrol!
A tall lanky shadow made it's approach, the only thing that distinguished it from the darkness were the golden orbs that seemed to hover over the ground. Spiderfang dipped his head to the other cats respectfully, but remained quietly with a little distance between him and the other patrol members.

Tallflower turned to Spiderfang and smiled at his arrival. "Hello Spiderfang, how are you doing?" She did not move closer as she spoke, respecting the distance he kept between himself and the others.
"Well enough" he replied "My shoulder has almost recovered, and this will be my first chance to go on patrol since the earthquake" he kept his voice soft, not wanting to interrupt the others that were speaking to one another.
Larkwing's sky blue eyes met Spiderfang's golden orbs when the black tom approached. "Spiderfang" he greeted warmly. "It is so good to see you up and around! So glad you could join us!"
Beetleflight sighed a warrior had stepped on his tail earlier that night and it had roused him out of the den. Though all his disgruntledness faded away when he spotted Echomelody gathering with some of the other cats. A patrol? Eagerly he hurried over. "Are you organizing a patrol Larkwing?" He asked. "May I join?"
Larkwing's sky blue eyes flicked toward Beetleflight as the tom approached. "Yes, I am. And yes you may" he purred, welcoming the other warrior with a warm smile. "Well, we better get going." The silver tabby tom lead the way out of the camp, heading toward the Sunclan border. Since Foxstar had gone missing, Larkwing had wanted to keep an eye on Sunclan most. Even if they were in an alliance.
Echomelody fell in beside Beetleflight. Although her eyes lit up at the sight of him, there was a deep sorrow behind them. Stealthclaw had gone missing a few sunrises ago and her and her siblings all concluded that she must be gone for good. She mostly moped around but being with Beetleflight changed everything. "Im glad your coming along" she mewed sweetly.
Beetleflight looked at her and he nodded walking alongside her, "Me too." He'd seen how down Echomelody had looked, and he wanted to take this chance to try and help make her feel a little better. He looked down at his paws.
"You uh... look really lovely tonight." He meowed. Then kicked himself, that wouldn't help whatever was bothering Echomelody... But he couldn't ask her about it not while there were so many cats on patrol with them! That's be awkward, and put unfair pressure on Echomelody to share.
She felt hot under her fur, "um...thanks..." She was flattered by the compliment and her heart was picking up the pace but she wasn't sure exactly what to say other than to thank him. "You look nice too" she responded, unsure if that was the right thing to say. As they treaded farther into the forest, Echomelody noticed something not quite right. She slowed her pace, "Larkwing. I have a weird feeling...the forest is quiet...too quiet."
Larkwing halted. Echomelody was right. By this time of night, the nocturnal creatures should be out making all sorts of sounds but now, everything was quiet. The deputy scented the air. Something strange drifted on the breeze. Then, an enticing smell reached his nose and made his mouth water. "What's that smell?" He wondered aloud. He knew if he was to discover anything unusual in the forest, he would need to find out what and report it to Burningstar. He followed the delicious smell and as he came into a clearing, there was a shiny rock that laid in the middle. A shiny rock that was so shiny, it sparkled in the moonlight. Inside the rock, there was a dip which held slop that smelled like meat. Delicious mouthwatering meat. "Well, you don't see that in the forest every day. I wonder what it is." Larkwing stepped forward toward the small shiny rock.
Echomelody cut him off, "wait. This isn't natural. Something feels off about this place. We should go."

Tallflower followed at the back of the patrol, out of practice but ready for anything she kept her eyes open. "What did you find?" She asked tilting her head to see around the other cats, the shiny rock that came into view made her fur bristle. The queen padded forward careful not to get too close and looked it over. "This isn't natural." She mumbled, her ears flat as her gaze rested on the object before them.
"I agree, lets-" she was cut off as a looming two-leg appeared, stomping toward them.
"Scatter!" Larkwing ordered.
The two-leg reached for Echomelody's scruff but she dodged the hand and fled. Unfortunately, she fled right into a trap and it closed behind her. "Help!" She cried, clawing at the metal wires of the cage.
At the sight of the twoleg, Beetleflight had frozen up staring at the sight of the twoleg in horror terrified by the sight of the massive beast. Then Larkwing's command to scatter finally registered and he bunched his muscles forcing himself to spring to the side, forcing his legs to move...
Then the sound of Echomelody's call for help made Beetleflight skid to a halt, head jerking back, eyes widening in horror when he saw her trapped in the cage. He doubled back towards her. "Echomelody!" He cried darting over to her. He grabbed at the cage door trying to pull it open. But the door was stuck good, and in his nervous state he wasn't able to get the latch open to free her.
Spiderfang had rushed into the bushes, but as Echomelody's please reached his ears he spun around, hidden for the moment. He watched as Beetleflight desperately tried to free her, and before he knew what he was doing he ran between the cage and the twolegs growling as fiercely as he could so that they could try to free her
The two leg went to approached Beetleflight but was stopped in it's tracks when Spiderfang intervened, a look of shock on its pink naked face.
Echomelody clawed at the door, tears welling in her eyes. However, although she was terrified of being captured, putting her clanmates in danger scared her more. She stopped clawing at the cage and looked at Beetleflight. "You all must get out of here. It will be no use if you got caught, too. Get out of here. Get everyone else to safety, Beetleflight. Spiderfang cant hold that two leg off forever..." She reached out her white paw and touched Beetleflight's with it. "Please. Dont make me watch you get caught or killed. I will find a way back."
Another twoleg appeared with an angry bark, stomping toward Spiderfang. Larkwing intercepted and began snarling and hissing, swiping an unsheathed claw to keep it from getting to the rescuing cats.
"She is right Beetleflight, you can't free her if you are captured to" he fluffed up trying to look fierce, but flinched as the second angry twoleg appeared "We need to get out of here"
He felt his heart thrum in chest, they were no match for two twolegs, and the longer they lingered the higher the cahnce that they would be captured as well
Beetleflight's ears flattened heart pounding in pure terror. He looked from the twolegs to the trapped Echomelody. He felt a tightness in his throat as he could see the pleading in her gaze. Pleading withhim to just leave. To save himself, and it made him feel wretched.
He could hear his brother Spiderfang, urging him to leave so he reluctantly took a step back. "Please come back to us," He whispered hoarsely. "I'll pray to StarClan for your safe return." The words came out shaky, his paws shaking. Every step back felt like he was pulling up roots. But he moved, with clear reluctance and grief in his gaze as he looked at Echomelody.
"I will, I promise" she whispered before he began departing. Her heart broke as she watched him leave.
Larkwing leaped out of the way as the twoleg he was keeping back tried to grab him, too. He darted away and the twoleg scoffed, walking toward the cage Echomelody was trapped in. The twoleg grabbed the cage and set it in the open back of a monster. Both the two legs jumped into the monster and it roared away. Echomelody pressed against the cage and watched through teary eyes as her home and the ones she loved got smaller and smaller until she couldnt see them anymore.
Larkwing stared after the retreating monster, feeling as if he had failed in protecting his clan. The silver tabby deputy hung his head for a moment before turning to his remaining patrol. "We must go back and report this to Burningstar." He announced, keeping his voice from shaking.
