Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
This would be her first time calling these cats together as the leader of the clan. Seablossom stood near the leaders den, upon a large boulder where all the leaders of past had stood before. Clearing her throat, she began, then tried again when her voice failed her. "Calling all cats old enough to catch their own prey." Solsticestar had made this seem so easy, but Seablossom was nerve racked, scanning the crowd as she waited for each cat to appear. Why, oh why did their dear leader disappear?
Beside him, Berryfrost was making her way out to sit in front of the nursery entrance from where she would keep an eye on the little one. Deerpaw came out behind her, heavily pregnant herself, she took root next to her mother. Her younger siblings would be out soon, she was sure, giving both her and her mother the task of keeping them quiet during the meeting.
Ivorycrown was no where to be found, only putting more stress on Seablossom. While Amberkit was sitting next to Crownglass, tears would be evident on his face if he'd only look up from his paws.
(This thread will announce the change in leadership. The idea is that Solsticestar just disappeared with no warning in the middle of the night about a week ago. Patrols have been sent out in search of her and have all turned up empty. Now Seablossom must announce that she will be taking on the leadership role and that Solsticestar has been deemed MIA. Few free to role play in this thread and even use the idea that your cat was on one of these patrols)

Desertkit pushed her way out of the nursery squeezing her small body between her mothers and Deerpaw so that she stood in front of them. "I wanna be an apprentice!" She chirped, her eyes alight with determination as she started to walk away from Berryfrost and closer to the cats gathered in the clearing. She was too small to see everything around the cluster of her clanmates and wanted a better view.
Graykit, despite how the rest of his family felt, was excited about the news that Seablossom was about to reveal, and even more excited about the fact that he was just moments away from being made an apprentice. His little body shivered and he looked around at the warriors, wondering who he would be given as a mentor.
Amberkit could feel his brother shaking in excitement. If only he was shaking for the same reasons. No poor Amberkit did not want to be an apprentice, by no means. He didn't like heights, didn't like killing prey, didn't like the idea of being a warrior.
Firetooth kept himself hidden in the shadows of the Medicine Cat Den, barely caring enough to stick his head out of the hollow to watch the new leader's first announcement. If he was a more expressive cat, the young tom might've let out a sigh of relief; he had never been a fan of Solsticestar, who had forced him as a kit to be stuck in the position he was in. Not because he hated being a Medicine Cat - though he did at first - but because he never had the chance to make a choice for himself. Perhaps the change wouldn't be so bad.
Rookback and Stalkerjaw sat side-by-side, as per usual with the odd pair of toms. However, the sleek black tom was more casually lounging in the grass than sitting at attention like his silent companion was. It was difficult to tell what either of them thought about the change in leadership, but they didn't seem particularly bothered by it.
Creekghost sat next to his mate by the warriors' den, the white tom observing the ceremonies with cautious interest. He didn't know Seablossom at all on a personal level, but she had served well as a Deputy. As he glanced across the clearing to the Medicine Cat Den where his son sat, he hoped that she would be a good leader...for his family's sake.
"I've called you all here....I've called you here because I have an announcement, a few actually." She waited, makings sure she had everyone's attention before continuing. Taking a deep breath Seablossom began again, "Solsticestar is gone. We know not where she has gone or if she'll come back. No word from StarClan has come to aid us in this moment of confusion." They knew nothing. Not where she went, why she left, or what was going on. One thing just led to another and they were no closer to an answer. "Therefore I shall be taking over as the leader of the clan. At nightfall tonight, I shall make the journey to receive my lives. I ask that three cats join me on this trip." Something that was unheard of as usually the leader went alone to meet StarClan for such a thing. "Crownglass, Coalsplash, and Celestialglow. I ask that you accompany me tonight. We shall leave at dusk." Breath. Just breath, Seablossom. You're almost done.
"There are a few among you who are also ready for a promotion. Will Dorsalpaw, Toadpaw, and Noxiouspaw step forward."
Crownglass wrapped his tail around Amberkit and gave him a quick, reassuring squeeze. "You're going to do great," he murmured encouragingly, "you'll see, I bet you'll get a great mentor." His golden gaze glimmered with pride as he looked up at his mate. She was leader of the clan now and he couldn't be more proud.
"About time," Dorsalpaw commented with a impish grin. He flicked his tail tip under the bitter Pondpaw's chin as he strolled languidly forward and tipped his white chin upward to look at the leader.

Cedarberry padded towards the crowd with an expression of curiousity. The silent cat monitored his clanmates with a neutral expression, listening to announcements as they were given one by one.
Apprentices will be receiving promotions, I wonder who their mentors will be...
His eyes glimmered with amusement as he watched the apprentices interact with one another. Nothing but big kits he always thought as he look his place beside Crownglass.

Coalsplash purred in surprise when he heard that he was going to accompany Seablossom on her trip to receive her lives. Solsticestar was gone, and no one knew where she was, but the fluffy white tom believed that Seablossom would rise well in her place.
Celestialglow puffed out her chest as her name was called to accompany her leader to receive her nine lives. Though there was a pang in her heart that their beloved leader had mysteriously vanished.
Toadpaw froze as his name was called. Hesitantly, he padded forward. He knew his naming ceremony was soon but with Solsticestar's mysterious disappearance, he assumed the ceremonh had been postponed. He gulped nervously as he sat among his other clanmates who were here for their naming ceremony as well. He tried hard to keep himself calm as he looked at Seablossom expectantly. She wasnt technically leader yet, she hadnt recieved her nine lives and he wondered if she was allowed to do a ceremony if she wasn't officially a leader yet.
"You three are long overdue to become warriors." Seablossom began her speech, pausing to take a deep breath. Her eyes were focused solely on the three who'd stepped forward. " From this day forward, Noxiouspaw, you shall be known as Noxiousinjection." She waited for the applause and cheers to die down, giving herself a moment to question the name she'd just given to this young cat. Was it fitting? Good enough?
"Dorsalpaw. You shall be known as Dorsalray." Breath. Repeat.
"Toadpaw. You shall be known as Toadstream."
Okay. Three down. One task completed. So, so many more.
Deerpaw smiled for her brother, she'd already talked with Seablossom about..her issue. It was sad to watch him be promoted while she wasn't, but she was happy for him, truly! She cheered along side her mother, proud to call out Toadstream's name.
Berryfrost was confused when her daughter's name was not called along side Toadpaw's but she didn't think much of it. Maybe her mentor just didn't think she was ready yet? Nonetheless, she cheered for her son, proud to be Toadpa-no, Toadstream's mother.
Toadstream felt warm under his pelt as he heard his mother and his sister call out his name. He almost wanted to shrink back down into his pelt but he loved the fact that his mother and sister were proud of him. He had only wished that Deerpaw was up there with him. He turned his head and gave her a gentle smile. Since the secret she told her family about, he felt like he and his sister had gotten a lot closer.
“Hmm,” said Dorsalray, with the beginnings of a satisfied smirk. It was long past overdue: his initial training had been as a mudlark and he’d been set back when they were disbanded, but no matter, he was a warrior now.

Cedarberry nodded in honor of the new warriors, his eyes glimmering with happiness to see more young cats join his rank. He was eager to find out about who would become the newest mentors of the clan, the tom having been a warrior for few moons himself now and hopeful to receive his first apprentice.
"Now for the kits. Would Amberkit, Graykit, Frostkit, and Wildkit step forward." Seablossom looked towards where her siblings all sat. They knew this was coming and she hoped that Amberkit wouldn't throw a fit in front of everyone. By no means did she feel happy about promoting them. She'd rather they stayed in the nursery a while longer, so she could keep an eye on them and they'd be in eyesight at all times. Then she wouldn't have to worry about them as much. About them getting hurt, lost, killed. The mere thought of any of that happening caused her blood to run cold. But they couldn't stay kist much longer. Already they were the oldest in the den and overdue to be promoted.
Amberkit glanced at his siblings, then Crownglass, hoping that he didn't have to go. Maybe if he just stayed here Seablososm wouldn't be able to promote him. He knew that wouldn't work though. Following his siblings up to the front, all eyes on them, the storm grey tom kept his head low both to hide his newest set of tears and to not have to face everyone.
Berryfrost smiled at her newest litter. One day, that would be them becoming apprentices and then warriors. It made her feel old. And yet, she was happy at the thought of watching them grow up. "Stay here. It's their time, no yours." She spoke to the whole nursery of kits, knowing not all of them were hers by blood but she'd help keep an eye on them all as any queen would.
Daisyfeather had found a seat near Cedarberry when the ceremonies began. "Think one of them will be your's to teach? Hope it's not the crybaby."
Acorncloud had bene in the medicine cat den being treated for his arthritis when the ceremonies had been called. So, he'd stayed near their den beside them. "Look at that! New warriors and new apprentices! Next will be needing new kits too! Least the nursery be empty." He spoke to both the medicine cats, a proud grin on his face as he cheered along with all the other cats.
Ivorycrown had missed the apprentices becoming warriors, though she didn't really care. The she-cat was still angry about what's happened earlier at their family discussion. The only, and first place, she found was, of course, next to Almondrose. Figures. Taking a seat next to her older sister, but making sure to not be too close to her that they were touching, Ivorycrown focused on the front. So Seablossom was really gonna promote the brats. About time. Her eyes searched for her own kits among the crowd. She'd left them behind earlier in her fit of rage. Probably for the best. If she hadn't come back then Seablossom would, naturally, take care of them.
Dorsalray strolled out of the way as she turned her attention to the kits. Crowngrass smiled reassuring at Amberkit and nudged him forward. "You'll do great, you're going to have a good mentor," he reassured him in a whisper. "Go on, now."

Cedarberry shot a glare at his clanmate, his blue eyes glittering with anger, "They're young Daisyfeather, you would be mindful to respect the effort the Queens have placed on making sure they are alive and healthy. Amberkit is a fine young cat and I would be just as proud having him as an apprentice as any other of his siblings. Either way, I try not to get my hopes up for the honor of being a mentor since I know being a kittypet puts me at a disadvantage over being considered unlike cats like you right?"
