Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"No no nononono you are not doing this to me," Chim hissed desperately, his voice cracking as he buried his face in his leader's fur. She wasn't supposed to die not so young not now not while he was deputy not for a very long time and this was the worst time for it and he'd finally come home and now she was trying to make him leader and he was nearly shaking with the pressure of it all, nobody was going to follow him certainly not after this war was all his fault so how could he ever expect to take her place? He looked up with a snarl as Rainpaw approached, then drew in a ragged breath as he remembered the apprentice, and slowly Chim stood back and looked away, choking away the tears, fighting the urge to flee.
Coralreef cocked her head as she listened to them all fight, dancing out of the range of the rogue and mercenaries. "Sooo if Violetstar is still the rightful leader, or at least once this fight is over she is, you'll fight for us, right?" She grinned. "We'll be the bestest pals!"
Wy stared at his sisters, feeling the blood slowly run down his face. For a moment, he looked about to cry; then he shook his head and swallows hard. He wasn't a kit anymore, and they were right, maybe it had all been a mistake. "They're going to exile me after this," he mumbled, shook his head, and rose unsteadily to his paws. "But I'll fight with you first." It was... not exactly an apology, barely an agreement or enthusiastic. He still had a lot he needed to sort through but for now maybe they were right. "Maybe if I tell them to stop they'll listen to me. I'm deputy." But even he doubted it.
Juniper nodded to Meepo. "I will, don't worry Meeps. I had wonderful teachers." She smiled warmly and nodded to him, slinking into brush under the falls.
She heard some murmurs and even a mention of her name- the former name that she was given, at least. She was much taller than when she had last stepped foot on her land. Her form was full of both muscle and food and her golden eyes were back to the large orbs they were before Riverwolf's tyranny. She really was so thankful for the training the Regime had given her, the love and support she had never felt before even in WaterClan, and for that, she even changed her name as an homage to them. Her golden eyes scanned the chaos like a lighthouse signaling her homing. She smirked a bit.
"Juniper. My name is Juniper." She spoke, brushing past Burningstar on her way into the nursery. Immediately, golden eyes became the wells they normally were as she watched Violetstar's kittens suckle and squeal. She brought herself close to her leader and purred, nuzzling her softly. "I'm so, so sorry that I couldn't be here for you. I'm so sorry Violetstar." Her voice trembled as she took in the sight of the kittens. It was almost too much for her yet she couldn't bring herself away. She set her pouches of herbs to the side, making sure the one Meepo gave her was close to her vision and not to be taken. She put the bundle she made for Violetstar over to her mouth along with a nice and heavy ball of moss. "Here. It's not much, I'm sorry, but these should help with the pain at least."
Slowly, she rose her body to stand outside of the den. Almost like standing guard, she scanned the clearing for Riverwolf's image. She remembered Meepo's words and Roon's training. She gulped and looked back at Violetstar, matching her beautiful purple eyes and smiled. "I'm so sorry. I have to do this. I love you, you know? You were always like my mother here in the living world. Thank you for that." Her still admittedly small body floated out of the den and over to Riverwolf, catching him mid-fall from a fight and slipped him the pouch that Meepo prepared. She gulped once more. "H-here. These will make you stronger and heal your wounds."
He had enough of this. With a screech of fury and unbridled rage the almost black tabby launch himself at Tuskblood, in an attempt to drag her off his beloved Riverstar.
Blinking the blood out his eyes Pierce lunched forward, snapping at Trench's throat. His amber eyes filled with rage as he leaped, landing squarely on the tom's back and began to shred his claws through his fur, losing himself in the rush of battle.

GidgetGalCleaver "You're not deputy, not really, you never were." He'd acted in Chim's place, but now that he was back, if Violetstar was restored to her position, then so was their brother, presumably. "But if you're joining us, maybe you can be a warrior. Show them who to fight for, don't just try to talk." The 'deputy' turning on Riverwolf, on top of Tuskblood taking on the tom, would quickly turn the tides, so she hoped. The rogues hopefully wouldn't want to fight a losing war, and would flee in the face of their biggest allies being defeated or changing sides.
@hinata Frozenpaw was certainly younger and quicker. But she was also smaller, her attacks less effective, though the former leader felt claws since into her stomach winding her. She was on borrowed time, these days, but she hadn't mentioned that to her family. Perhaps that was why she seemed unworried about being injured, and was the source of her youthful strength. "He usurped the clan from Violetstar, promoted kits far before their time, and brought rogues into the very heart of the clan. He broke the warrior code, and is unfit to call himself a leader of any clan." Her voice was understanding, but stern and firm. Frozenpaw may have been manipulated, and for that Phoenixriver wouldn't treat her harshly, but she needed to realize this was wrong. Luckily, it appeared the tides were turning in their favor, slowly but surely.
Mars was in the thick of the battle. Of course he had agreed to help Chimerahunt in the end. While he didn't always see eye to eye with him, he had promised to help WaterClan and at the moment, that meant backing their true deputy and helping Violetstar take control of her clan once more. This would also ensure that he had one less enemy to worry about on the border. He spun around when he spotted someone out of the corner of his eye, expecting it to be another rogue or one of Riverwolf's supporters.
Gravelshell, Chimerahunt, Rainpaw, Juniperpaw, and so many others. Her eyes began to stream with tears as she were surrounded by cats that loved her to the fullest, and she gave a small weak laugh for a moment. She slowly shook her head, feeling her heart break. Violetstar had lightly leaned her head into Chimerahunt’s furs, a rusty purr pushing from her throat. “I’ll always be with you. You were the best friend I had always needed. I know.. I couldn’t fix you..” Her words seemed to drawl out a little, as if she were spacing out. She swallowed, trying to focus the best she could. “I’ve watched you turn into a better cat, and I have full faith in you. I always.. have.” Her nose pressed softly to his forehead, his scent truly comforting her. Violetstar loved him, it wasn’t a romantic love, but the love of true friendship and understanding between the two. “Thank you for trusting me, and thank you for being here in my final moments.” Another pauses as she pulled her nose away and her eyes flicked over his body. “You look well...” he did. His body had filled back out, and he looked strong.
Her eyes watched sadly as Juniperpaw spoke, and she weakly nuzzled her in return, nodding softly. She was strong, and had been through so much as a kit until now. She had a full surge of motherly instincts, wishing to keep her from harm... but she knew better. The medicine cat apprentice had grown so strong, and matured beyond belief. She felt a wave of pain that she couldn’t see her to her full potential.
As Rainpaw came rushing to them, she felt a surge of pride, and she lifted a front paw and brushed it against his leg, licking him softly. She was still in a sitting position, but struggling to keep her balance. It was taking everything she could to stay up. “I, Violetstar, leader of WaterClan, call upon my warrior anscestors to look down upon... this apprentice. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as a warrior in their turn. Rainpaw, do.. do you promise to uphold the warrior code... even at the cost of your.. life?”

Jetclaw Aela struggled for a moment as Marina attempted to pin her. Her eyes met Coralreef's and she fought to roll them at the she-cat's daydreams before nodding towards the rogue's back. She hoped that the Waterclan warrior knew what she was hinting at. Hopefully, if everything went right, she would hit the she-cat from the side and allow Aela to launch her off while she was unsteady.

@samiam Tuskblood let out a grunt as another cat barrelled into her and knocked her off of Riverwolf. Fury lit in her olive eyes as she turned to face her attacker. She was not familiar with any of the rogues Riverwolf had brought, but she figured this was one of them. Her plumy black tail lashed and she rushed to one side of the tom before switching quickly to the other, trying to throw him off. As she did so, she snapped at his shoulder and attempted to grapple him.

indy As Riverstar rolled away from Tuskblood after Smokeynight's attack, he found himself nose to nose with the medicine cat. "Where have you been?!" He snapped furiously. His eyes flicked to the herbs and he narrowed them suspiciously for a moment. "Why would you give me herbs for strength?" He questioned, curling his lip.

fadedecho A silver tabby tom lashed out with his long, black claws outstretched towards Mars' muzzle. "Go fight your own battles, tunnel rat." The tom, named Nautica, hissed before taking another swipe towards the ebony commander.

syzygy Rainpaw felt moisture began to gather in his eyes and run down his cheeks. He wanted to wail. Everything in him screamed. Why did she have to die? How was he supposed to live without her? His eyes traveled to the kits at her belly and lingered there briefly. He silently vowed to protect them before turning his attention in surprise back to Violetstar. She was promoting him? He didn't know how to feel. He was honored and proud, yet bitter sadness like a river rushed through his body. "I do." The answer barely came out. His voice was solemn, broken, but determined as he made his vow.
"I have been training to become to best medicine cat to serve you and my clan. I had no mentor here, no herbs to learn with, so I went out and taught myself. I learned to fight and hunt as well; I can be a soldier just as well as a medicine cat." She looked back to the herbs and gave Riverwolf a smile. A scary smile. It was almost too nice to be true, yet she tried to keep the illusion up with a shaky facade and trembling voice. "These are herbs that Glowstar herself uses to strengthen her body and win any battle she's fought. Who wouldn't wanna be like her? You could be twice as strong as her, in fact. I guarantee it." She tried to sweet-talk the false leader with her honeyed words doused in arsenic.
Pride gave a small sparkle in those dull eyes of hers. “Then by the powers of StarClan... I give you your warrior name. Rainpaw, from this day forward... you will be known as Rainwatcher...” Violetstar had to pause to breathe in, struggling to remain conscious. “WaterClan honors your bravery and unwavering loyalty to your clan. Rainwatcher, because I know you’ll watch over every last one of your clanmates.” Another pause as she looked at the kittens that wiggled at her belly. “I know you’ll watch over them.. as well.” Violetstar leaned forward, her nose touching his cheek softly, before she finally lowered herself to lay down, her head on her paws as her breaths came labored. She was fighting hard to stay as long as she could, she just had so many goodbyes, and deep inside, she didn’t feel ready to go yet.
Jetclawsimplylight Coralreef wasn’t sure she wanted to attack when there was a chance they could talk it out, but she wasn’t going to let her hero mercenary fight alone! She followed her gaze, guessed what she wanted, and immediately sprang at Marina’s back with a howl.
Chim closed his eye at her touch and remained that way through the ceremony, knowing when he opened his eyes again, everything would be different.
Cleaversimplylight Marina lifted her head quickly trying to kick out at Coralreef with her hindpaw as she tried to keep Aela pinned, growling furiously. She'd been about to consider Coralreef's statement, but when she attacked, Marina returned right back to fighting, keeping as strong of a grip on Aela as she could while keeping her left hind paw poised to shoved Coralreef back. It would be tricky and left her unbalanced but she'd manage.

indy Riverwolf kept his eyes narrowed as he listened to her words. He didn’t quite believe her, but there was no time to argue it. She was just an apprentice. The worst she could do was give him a stomach ache probably, and he even questioned her ability to do that. He let out a, “Hmph,” and lapped up the herbs quickly. No harm in believing the brat. Just as he thought those words, he felt a slam in his side. Squirrelpool dug her claws into the silver-grey tom’s back and bit down hard on his ear. He let out a hiss of fury and attempted to roll and dislodge the quick she-cat. However, he suddenly felt his strength break and searing pain shot through his abdomen. Alarm flashed in his amber eyes and they snapped to Juniper. “You traitorous imp! What have you done?!” His voice was shrill as he screamed in anguish and anger. The world went black around him and there was a moment of haunting stillness...
syzygy Rainwatcher. The tears began to roll now as she gave him his new name. Rainwatcher gazed into her glazed eyes for several moments then dropped his head with a sob. A single tear hit the stone below and his closed eyes slowly trailed to the mewling kits at her belly once more. “I will protect them and teach them what you have taught me. They will never be alone as long as I am around.” He swore softly before touching Violetstar’s shoulder with his nose. His ears pricked in alarm at Riverwolf’s sudden screech. What happened? He thought, confused for a moment before alarm pierced through his body. Juniperpaw! He gave Violetstar one last, solemn glance before darting out of the den to stand protectively next to the medicine cat.
Jetclaw@cleaver Aela growled as she struggled under Marina’s grip. Finally, she managed to break free right when Riverwolf yowled. Her head swung in that direction, baffled.
Mars bared his teeth in response. The tom didn't warrant a verbal response. He was just a follower, someone meant to cause trouble for WaterClan. It was true it was odd for the Regime to take part in anything of this nature, but his alliance with Violetstar wouldn't allow for him to sit by and watch her clan tear itself apart. He charged, ramming his shoulder into the other tom in an effort to knock him to the ground.
Violetstar sighed softly, her weight leaning heavily into Gravelshell. Her gaze became far off, but it was clear that she was fighting to stay there, fighting to stay alive. She was in denial, that this was it. Violetstar was young, and she felt she had a reason to live since becoming the leader of her broken clan. Yet, she had even more reason to live and each life had been stripped from her due to a difficult kitting. It was enough to make her heart twist, but soon her vision began to blacken. Her eyes fluttered, and she buried her face into her realative’s furs. “I don’t want to go.” She confessed, her chest heaving as she felt her consciousness slipping in and out.
simplylight Oceanscent growled as he dug his front claws deeper and deeper into Wright's shoulders, fury lighting his eyes as he watched his opponent writhe in pain, trying and failing to escape his grasp. The young tom winced as the rouge's back feet beat repeatedly against his chest, but he refused to loosen his hold. "Just give up already," he hissed scornfully. "Don't you see that you can't win?! Rainstar was only ever looking out for himself; if you actually want a better life, fight with us instead!"
Cleaver "Wy..." Tinybreath face lit up with joy and relief, trying to fight back another wave of tears as her brother seemed to finally come to his senses. But this wasn't the time for touching reunions or apologies; that could come after they had won back their home. "Rustyheart's right," she agreed, suddenly bounding forward and flinging herself onto the nearest rouge. "Actions speak louder than words anyway!"
Gravelshell had remained respectfully silent as Violetstar...her cousin, exchanged her final goodbyes with her successor and apprentice. She felt a surge of pride well up in her chest as she looked upon the soon-to-be Chimerastar, her own mentor's son. He himself didn't realize it, but the future of Waterclan would be bright under his leadership, the elder was sure of it. However, she was quickly brought out of her thoughts of the future by the sound of Violetstar's voice in her ear; soft, weak, and scared. Seeing the light slowly flicker out of her dear cousin's eyes...she nearly began crying herself. No. Not yet. There would be time for crying once she finally passed on. For right now, for this brief moment, she needed to be strong. As she pulled Violetstar closer, her brother Bluepelt moved to the leader's other side, rubbing his tail up and down her back in comfort, while her daughter Yuccablossom came back inside to sit next to her. It wasn't much, but Violetstar's family would be there for her.
"Shhhh, shhhh," Gravelshell cooed like a mother to her kit, leaning down to nuzzle the dying she-cat tenderly. "I know, dear, I know. But it's not up to us to choose when we enter this world, or when we leave it. It's always frightening to face the end because it's so unknown, but ultimately that's not what should matter when it finally comes. Don't focus on the unknown, or the what-ifs, or what you could have done differently. None of that matters. What matters is what you've accomplished during the short time you've had, and the relationships you've built along the way. Those are the important things that you should rely on; those are your legacy. As long as you know that you are loved, and will always be loved...my darling, as long as you feel that love...you can face that unknown with your head held high."
As soon as she had finished speaking, a small breeze blew into the den, and Gravelshell suddenly froze. In that wind was a scent so faint that it was almost unnoticeable, but she was certain she wasn't imagining it. How could she possibly forget it? I-It was... This time, Gravelshell couldn't stop the tears no matter how hard she tried. "My son...Caspianpaw...Violetstar, Starclan's come for you at last. Can you see them?"
Nautica felt the wind escape his lungs at the impact and he tumbled over to his side. Quickly, the smaller cat clamped his teeth down in Mars' shoulder. He knew he wouldn't be able to throw the Regime commander off if he was pinned, but he could fight his way out.
GidgetGal "And why should I do that? None of you have treated me or the others like we belonged since we got here!" Wright hissed, his voice raspy with pain. He had no ties to Waterclan. The only reason why they wanted him now was so that they could win. He knew that as soon as they won, him and the others would get shunned and cast aside. Riverstar was the only cat that had accepted them. Right?
Wy smiled at his sister, then looked up quickly as he recognized Riverstar's yowl. What was going on? The leader didn't look that badly hurt but he was collapsing like he was... like he had been... "Hold on," he muttered to his siblings, praying they understood he wasn't switching sides again, then dashed over to nose the leader's body. "Everyone, stop!" the deputy yowled. "Look! It's over."
simplylight Mars grimaced, feeling a fiery pain in his shoulder, but he did his best to ignore the pain in his shoulder. While he wasn't able to pin him, he whipped his head around and clamped down hard on the tom's ear in an attempt to force him to let go. He paused however when he heard Chimera hunt. Had Riverstar been defeated? He was surprised the battle had been a quick one, but he supposed that would mean less casualties if that was the case.

Riverstar felt an odd strength surge back through his body, yet he felt so dazed and slow. "What?" His voice came out weakly and around him cats started to take form in his eyes. Did he just lose a life? But how?
"Someone grab him!" Tuskblood growled from behind Smokeynight.

Rustyheart wasn't too far from Riverstar, and as a result, the feline was quick to leap on Riverwolf, pinning the now conscious tom to the ground not moments after her older brother called for a cease. Either he hadn't died, or he somehow had at least one extra life, and she wasn't sure how. Regardless, she wasn't about to take the chance that he would get up and try to fight again, and the feline held him down, hoping that he didn't really have the strength to fight back.
