Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It felt like moons since he’d left his home. It was difficult, here in SummerClan. It was too hot, and Fogeye struggled to do simple tasks. The dark grey tom laid in the shade, sides puffing and tongue laying out as if he were a hound. It was hot here. The things he did for love.

Bonefang watched the newer clan member struggle with the warm weather. It's only going to get worse when Greenleaf gets here, he thought. The senior warrior enjoyed the warmth and welcomed the new season readily. He approached Fogeye and sat down beside him. "So ..." He began. "I would guess that's it's cooler where you're from?"

He laughed lightly. "Yes, it is," Bonefang meowed. "But it's much better here than living where it's cold, not to say our Leafbares aren't cold though." He thought about the last one they had just come through. He'd swear that each one was colder than the last. "What we do around here if we're too hot, we go to the small stream near the camp entrance to cool down. It's not deep. It only comes up to here." He brought one paw halfway up his other front leg to show Fogeye how deep the water was.
His ears perked curiously. “Swimming is... normal here?” He was quiet for a few moments before he finally decided to speak again. “Swimming is not common in WinterClan... and so... I don’t know how..”

Bonefang smiled. "No worries," he answered. "The water isn't too deep. You can stand in it and the current isn't swift there either." He stretched his hind legs out. "I'll come with you if you like. I can use a bit of cooling off myself. As for swimming, we teach our apprentices how to swim since we have plenty of streams and our whole northern border is lake. But we don't live in the water like WaterClan does. It just a good precaution for us to know how to swim. It prevents unwanted drownings."
Fogeye nodded. He didn’t say how nervous the thought made him, but his twitching whiskers gave away his unease. He stood to his paws, stepping from the shadows and once more into the blistering heat, eyes squinting.

"There's nothing to worry about," Bonefang meowed when he saw Fogeye's discomfiture. "Like I said, the water there isn't deep and you'll thank me after you get cooled off." He felt the hot sun beating down on his own back and looked forward to a refreshing dip himself. "Come on," he meowed. "I'll go with you. This sun is sure hot today." He started to walk out of the camp.
Well. One thing the tom could say, SummerClan cats were extremely inviting and always kind. No matter who they spoke to. It was a nice change from WinterClan, he thought. He stood to his paws and followed after the cat, looking forward to anything that would cure this heat.

Bonefang entered the water as soon as he reached the stream. The coolness was immediately refreshing to his paws and legs. "Oh, this feels so good!" he sighed happily. He crouched down so that the water flowed smoothly over his whole body, only his head remained above the water. "Come on in," he called encouragingly to Fogeye. "This feels great!"
He still seemed uneasy, but he was also desperate to be able to breathe again. Slowly he dipped a toe in, and his mouth dropped open. It was much cooler. Breathing in she lept in. Forgetting his fears entirely.

Surprise registered on Bonefang's face. He hadn't expected Fogeye to dive right in after how reluctant he had seemed. He also received a face full of water from the splash the former WinterClan cat made when he jumped in. He blinked several times and spat out some of the water. "If I didn't know better, I'd think you planned on doing that!" he laughed.
The water was shallow, so he didn’t have time to panic before he could stand. He seemed to relax, his ears even dropping over a little bit. “It’s just... so hot.” He murmured,”I feel.. like I can breathe again.” WinterClan cats had immensely thick fur to survive the harsh climate there. The heat of the summers here was unbareable.

"Unless the weather changes, it's going to be hot here for a long time," Bonefang meowed. "I've never seen a cool Greenleaf here and I've seen quite a few." It was true. He had been a senior warrior for sometime already and he was seriously contemplating moving into the elders den. "As long as you're not assigned to a patrol, you can come here as often as you want." He stepped up on a rock that was a mini island in the stream and began to groom the water from his fur.
“Thank you..” be mewed softly, not wanting to seem ungrateful. He was sure he would come here a lot during the summer months of this area. It would be the only way he’d make it through the seasons.

"I don't know about you but I'm feeling a bit hungry," Bonefang said as he looked down from his perch on the rock in the stream. A quick spring took him back onto the stream bank. "What kinds of prey do WinterClan cats like to eat? We're not too picky here in SummerClan. We eat land, air, and water prey."
“Rabbits are a main source of prey.” He mewed lightly. “They run more in the leaf bare. We don’t have to worry about them hibernating much.” Fogeye explained, then felt awkward that he had referred to his previous clan as ‘we’. He supposed now SummerClan was his ‘we’ and WinterClan should now be ‘they’.

Bonefang overlooked the fact that Fogeye talked as if he was still with WinterClan. He realized it must be hard to adjust not only physically but also mentally when moving to a new clan. "I wondered about that," he meowed. "Our rabbits are usually active in Leafbare except when it's exceptionally cold. We often rely on birds and squirrels then. Mice and voles and such often stay holed up much of Leafbare."
The tom gave a slow nod, letting himself sink a little further into the water, his nose and eyes he only things poking out. He sighed, eyes then looking on to the skies above. The sun shone, and the birds sang in the distance. Despite having left WinterClan to be with Ravenstone, he felt... sad.

Bonefang sensed a sadness coming off of Fogeye. He didn't want to confront him outright about it so he decided to go around the long way, so to say. "So what kinds of things did you do in WinterClan just for fun? You know, things that made you happy?"
