Glowstar's ears twitched at the scent of Renegade cats and on instinct stiffened before relaxing. They were their allies, there was no reason to be alarmed. The Regime had helped save them from SunClan, in return DayClan had allowed them to use their underground forest. Maybe they needed some help with something. She lied still, but eventually couldn't stay on the branches of her tree any longer and began to walk towards the entrance of camp meeting Shule and Sean half way. Her sister in law and her brother. Shule was practical, a born assassin who honorably wasted her talent by remaining loyal to the Regime instead of training somewhere that would bring her up to be the general she deserved to be respected as. Then there was Sean who was lucky to live in the dirt empire he did because no clan cat or non blood related group member would ever be able to tolerate him.
"Is something wrong?" Glowstar asked Shule and not Sean.
Her gaze carried an empathetic worry, but it only turned real when she saw the way Sean didn't look at her. He was a confrontational egotistical self centered tom and for once he looked sorry. The damn world had to end for him to be sorry. Her gaze slowly looked a bit more carefully at Shule anticipating the worst despite no one having said a word. Somehow dread was already thick enough to choke on, it was like smoke suffocating her.

The Sentinel strode into DayClan's camp, her frame thin, even given the time of year, but still rippling with muscles underneath an immaculate ebony pelt with perfectly groomed white paws. She hadn't been back in the Regime long at all, and her scent still bore the smell of a well traveled feline, of the cities and forests and plains, with only the barest notes of the Regime's scent still clinging to her dull fur. After the revelation from her mate, she'd spent only enough time within her home to let Mars know she was back, and get a few hours of rest and a decent meal at the insistence of her other relatives. Even that had been a fight to convince her, and if she'd had her way, she'd have been there the day before.
That little bit of sleep she'd managed to get, and the meal she'd had, had hardly done anything to curb the feline's fury. If anything, her anger had only grown. And Shule had already been outraged the day before. Her crystalline eyes were downright frigid, as she neared the leader, unable to so much as look at Sean. The tom was lucky she hadn't flayed him alive, and to be quite honest, she still very much thought it a viable option.
"As it so happens, there is." Shule's tone was downright seething, as she locked on to the DayClan leader as a threat, the person in the way of what she wanted, which, truth be told, was not a very good place to be, not right now, at least. She was on the hunt for something that had been taken from her, given away by Sean when he had absolutely no right to do so, and there was absolutely nothing that would stop her from getting it back. "In my absence, it seems that your brother has lost his ever-loving mind, and I'm here to take back what's mine."
Cinnamonkit was watching Knightkit try to weave some little sticks together. The younger kit trying to see if he could craft a toy to give to his siblings.
"Wow Knightkit, you're so talented making a stick with woven grass. I'm sure Celestialkit, or Lightningkit will love it." Cinnamonkit said rolling his eyes, glancing around spotting his mother a ways off confronting some cats who had just arrived.
"Oh shut up Cinnamonkit." Knightkit said ears flattening upset by the older kits taunting. "I'm trying something, you're just sitting there watching." The dark gray kit grumbled.
"Whatever," Cinnamonkit meowed heading towards his mother, crouching low to try and stay out of sight as possible.
Windchaser was settled in a sunny spot in camp when Shule and Sean strode in. She was almost excited to see the Renegade Regime again. They had been so much help during the escape from Sunclan. However, her excitement died down at the looks of anger in their eyes. What was going on? Why were they so angry? She followed Glowstar up to Shule and Sean but stood back a little bit to allow Glowstar to handle this. At the mention of kits, Windchaser cocked her head. Kits? They come in demanding kits now? She wanted more than anything to speak her mind but she had more self control than that and therefore held her tongue.

Darkcomplex sat to the side of DayClan's camp, playfully sparring with a few of his kits. Arcanepaw was having a wonderful time, dancing around her father's strikes, the mostly black she-cat's eye's carefree and bright. The former Initiate had elected to have a family day today, make sure all the kits were together now that DayClan was back in their own camp. What the tom hadn't expected was the arrival of Glowstar's brother and sister-in-law, the latter looking as though she was ready to kill Glowstar right then and there if the she-cat so much as breathed the wrong way. The oppressive atmosphere taking over DayClan's camp made his stomach sink, and the sparring died as eyes turned to the newcomers. He'd never met Shule, though he'd heard about her, at least in passing.
Kits? Glowstar didn't have any of the Regime's kits. And yet, the tom felt the need to tell Arcanepaw to stay put, the SunClan warrior walking up and standing just off to the side of Glowstar, close enough to interfere if things went south, but not intruding on their conversation as of yet. The DayClan leader didn't need him to protect her, but even so, he felt as though his presence was required.
"Yeah no problem Shule, let me get to the bottom of this," Glowstar promised before turning back to her clanmates, "Alright, I don't know which one of you took Shule and Sean's kits, but it's time to give them back. I know sometimes you may get the impression that certain clans don't raise their kits right, but it's not up for us to just steal other peoples kits cause we don't like the way they raise them. I understand you probably introduced them as kits left at the border, but please. Let's just return them back."
Her first year as leader her clan had gone behind her back to steal kits from WinterClan claiming that StarClan had told them to and Glowstar had allowed it considering the severity. But to do that again? Sean and Shule didn't deserve that.
Sean stared at Glowstar for a long moment. Then another moment. Opened his mouth. Closed it. Then finally with a completely lost look he turned back to his mate, "Okay. I honestly am really as confused as you are now. I don't know if she's lying or what. But I gave the kits to Glowstar."
"You idiot, you never gave me any kits. Plus, I told you, I wasn't taking anymore of your kits after Adanna. I'm pretty sure I was sane before she entered my life," Glowstar remarked.
Windchaser gave Glowstar an almost amused look. The Dayclan leader always had a way with words, turning the most serious moments into a joke. However, she wasn't entirely sure if Glowstar had the kits or not. There have been many new members since before their imprisonment with Sunclan. Rogues dumped their kits off at the borders all of the time. It's not uncommon for the clans to find unwanted kits laying around.

"Stop playing, Green! I know you have them." Shule couldn't hold herself together anymore. To be quite honest, she had never much liked Glowstar, and it infuriated her that the DayClan leader would dare to lie about this. There was a part of her mind that registered both Sean and Green's bewilderment, that told her that something was very, very wrong with this whole situation, but in this moment, the Sentinel was no longer thinking rationally. She had already lost so much, and these kits would not be added to the list. Before she realized exactly what she was doing, the she-cat had the DayClan leader pinned to the ground on her back, claws resting with a terrifying gentleness against Green's throat. "If one hair on any of their heads has been harmed, I swear to the Blind Protector, you will regret ever being born. Stop pretending, and tell me where they are. There's six of them, should've gotten promoted in the last two moons or so. Should have been about two moons old when you got them. Ringing any bells yet?" Her voice was low and dark, and downright dangerous. The Sentinel wasn't a cat known to be rash or easily angered, and this was a whole new side to the feline. She wasn't just making an idle threat; Shule absolutely would kill Glowstar, even at the risk of her own demise, if her sister-in-law had harmed them in any way, shape, or form.
Windchaser grabbed Shule by her scruff and hauled her roughly off of her leader. "Thats enough!" She spat, flexing her claws. "Glowstar would never hurt your precious kits! So I suggest you stop acting like a kit in a temper tantrum and deal with the problem like adults!"
Knightkit seeing the situation degrade ran back into the nursery. A few moments later Rubyflame emerged from the nursery and seeing Shule go at Glowstar propelled the ginger and white she cat to hurry over.
"Get off her," Rubyflame said. "My son tells me theres a concern about kits, strangling Glowstar will do nothing,"

Shule's claws dug in in an instant, just scraping Glowstar's throat as she was pulled away, her other claws ripping harshly from the leader's body in the process as she was disengaged.
In response, it was Wanderingwight now, who grabbed Windchaser, dragging to Immortal Council member back in an instant and shoving the cat behind her roughly, even as Shule turned, claws just barely missing the Bright Brigade she-cat's face. "Back up, now." The words of Glowstar's daughter weren't directed at Shule, but at Windchaser, mismatched gaze holding the Sentinel's as she stepped back, forcing Windchaser to move back in order to avoid being trampled by the heavily scarred feline.
"Sean. Explain." Senescence's words were an order, though she didn't spare a moment to look at her uncle, instead keeping her half-blind gaze leveled at Shule. Wanderingwight, as much as Glowstar and Sean, understood that this was a delicate moment. Shule wasn't a rash feline by any means, but if they didn't diffuse this situation soon, heads were going to roll.
Windchaser roughly pulled away from Wonderingwright. She glared at Glowstar's daughter. "You expect me to stand by and let Glowstar get attacked?" she hissed in a low, yet stern voice at Wanderingwright. She was clearly nerved by the Bright Brigade's attempt to hold her back. She lashed her tail angrily and pinned her ears back. Her furious green eyes laid once more upon Shule. The next time Shule made a wrong move, no one would be able to separate the two felines.

"Yes." Wanderingwight answered shortly, ignoring the glare directed her way. "If it comes to a fight, then you leave it to Glowstar and I, and don't interfere. You'll only get in the way." If anyone had a right to talk back to the Immortal Council member, it was the blood and shadow Lucifern. Shule hadn't become Sentinel for no reason, after all, even Senescence knew that. Commander Mars' aunt was easily one of the Regime's strongest members. On a normal day, she would have thought a fight between her mother and Shule would be quite interesting to watch. One where Shule was clearly not in her right mind, however, was a different beast entirely.
Shule, for the moment, didn't attack again, at least, though there was a growl low in her throat as she waited for Glowstar to answer her demands. She'd come so far, traveled for so long, to see her kits again, and she wasn't about to deal with her sister-in-law's games. All the same, there was an almost invisible shake in her paws, a growing fear in the back of her mind that she really never would see her kits again, and the thought only fueled her desperation.
*You'll only get in the way* Wanderingwight's words rang in her mind. Windchaser bit her tongue but flexed her claws. Glowstar knew more than anyone how protective the Imortal Council cat could be. Glowstar had watched her grow form a kit to what she is now and has guided her in ways no one else could relate to. If something, anything, were to happen to Glowstar and she could have done something about it, she would never forgive herself. But then again, Wanderingwight was of a higher rank than she was. Not only was she one of Glowstar's kits, she was also a Bright Brigade. However, even though Wanderingwight was above her, she still couldn't hold back the annoyance she felt toward her at the moment. Though, instead of continuing her arguing and not getting to the point, she shut her jaws and stood by while Glowstar handled things.
The only reason the beautiful golden she-cat paid any attention to whatever seemed to be going on was because it seemed like little more than chaos. Of course, that meant that she was instantly interested; she enjoyed watching others fight and fall over themselves. She hadn't said or done anything, though, that would have suggested that she was paying much attention at all. As it stood, she was casually eating her mouse. Yet, the apprentice's eyes were focused on the scene as it unfolded. Her lips twitched upwards at the sight of the attack, even though she should have been appauled that her mother had been in danger. Angelpaw just... wasn't. After a moment, though, the intrigue of the situation became too much for her, and the DayClan apprentice strutted over. Of course, she was of the youngest to come near, and she was completely out of place, but that didn't mean she wasn't about to have a front row seat. Little did she know how important this conversation really was.
Glowstar stared up at Shule, surprise lit in her eyes and for one hollow moment her heart seemed to stop. One of those feelings that occurred when something just felt off, distorted. Like a soundless forest or a green sunset. Because Shule was at an assassin level, she didn't slip, but right now she unraveled. She could tell every emotion Shule was feeling, there was no composure. Shule was going to kill her if she didn't do something. Not only that, but Sean was feeding her lies because of course he wanted to be an only child, he never liked her.
Shule's claws tore past her fur and into her skin raking across her fast and she could feel the precious prickles of pain soar through her body and the sweet shivers that followed as she bled. How did no one else feel warm inside from being wounded?
Promoted two moons ago.
"Lastpaw and Firstpaw! They were promoted two moons ago, we found them wandering around. Um. One has black fur and the other has golden fur, both girls?" Glowstar offered as she pulled herself up.
Sean looked at Wanderingwight, "Uh. Shule and I had a litter in the Regime. But when Shule went missing I gave the kits up to Glowstar. I was too overcome with grief to care for them so Glowstar agreed because she never saw me that way. It wasn't long after that SunClan attacked DayClan so I was never able to check up on them. I honestly haven't seen them since they were newborns," Sean admitted, but didn't want to also admit that if he saw them he wouldn't be able to recognize them.
"Shule, he's lying. Maybe you've known me as a league cat most of your life, but I definitely never hurt any kits. And even when I stole kits, I always admitted it. Plus, before we made that alliance I hated going to the Regime, there's literally no way Sean could ever motivate me to going back. Also the Regime and DayClan are in an alliance."

Wanderingwight gave a slow nod as she leaned back into a sitting position, still seemingly unperturbed despite the precarious situation unfolding before them. Both her uncle and mother seemed convinced, and she couldn't offer an opinion either way, she hadn't been around. The story made sense, as did Glowstar's. Of course, there was another possibility brewing in her mind. She'd only learned of the kits recently, but the timing was right. Whatever she thought, however, she didn't get a chance to voice it.
Green was lying. She had to be. If, even for a moment, Sean had suspected her mate of lying, that he'd intentionally hidden the kits, or hurt them, or used them as pawns in a scheme against Glowstar, she'd have killed him herself. But, in the last few moons, she'd become adept at telling truth from lies in her effort to return home, and she didn't sense deceit from either of them. Shule could feel herself falling apart, what little restraint she had fizzling away. She barely heard Sean's comment, though his comment about SunClan seemed to ring in her ears, begging her to remember something caught at the edges of her memory. For the moment at least, the Sentinel didn't have the opportunity to sort through her tumultuous thoughts, as the frame of a cat came into the edges of her vision. Her gaze was caught away from the DayClan leader's, until she found herself looking into her own eyes, crystalline blue, staring at a young cat of light and dark, with a look of apparent amusement on her face. The world seemed to fade away as her gaze locked onto that of Angelpaw, recognizing her in an instant, even if Sean couldn't. Their tiny forms had been burned into her memory, and she couldn't help but see her daughter in the apprentice before her.
"Zuhra." Her voice was a whisper in the air, thoughts of flaying Glowstar alive lost as the world faded away to only the form of her daughter. She was here. And she was alive.
Cinnamonkit looked at his sister confused. "Is that an insult?" He asked seeing the older she cat call Angelpaw that. Though the look on the older she cat's face was weird for her to have said an insult. "Zuhra... it's weird sounding." Cinnamonkit meowed poking out from where he'd been hiding in the shadows.
"Hey," Glowstar said in an attempt to snap Shule's attention back onto her and not on her daughter. Was Zuhra a name? Shule came up with weird names, as far as she was concerned Shule's daughters name was Zach and her sons name was Tori. Glowstar slowly walked in front of Angelpaw to block Shule's view, "Listen, I know it might not seem like it, but when Sean and I were first born we looked alike a lot and only grew certain markings as we aged. It's not that surprising if my kits share some similar colors with yours. We don't even have six kits that came here all at once. I'm sorry, the timelines just don't add up."
"She is going to kill me. Glow is literally hiding these kits and has gone into straight denial and now Shule is going to kill her and then me and then DayClan. And then the Regime will go to war with the Pride and it's all going to be because I was too depressed," Sean thought in his head in panic before turning to his niece Senescence, "Listen if you know anything you have to spill now or else my mate is going to start spilling blood and I don't want that."
"Pst. That Regime cat is staring at you," Etherealpaw whispered to Angelpaw before settling down beside her sister, "Do you want me to have your back if she picks a fight with you or do you got this?"
Windchaser stood back, though her fur was bristling and her eyes were locked on Shule, noting her every move. Shule looked at Angelpaw and Windchaser dug her claws into the ground. She was relieved when Glowstar stood in front of Angelpaw but she was still on edge, ready to spring into action if she had to.
