"Oh, I know," she replied. "But it's not all that easy talking to him anymore. Mostly my fault too for being so ... so ... I don't know ... such a bad sister, I guess." She rose to her feet and shook her fur vigorously as if that would help her shake off her gloominess. "I'll just have to take little steps when dealing with him. He, nor I, can change overnight."

"Sorry if it seemed like I was bellyaching too much," Pantherclaw replied, a little embarrassed. She gave her chest fur a few licks. Sometimes she talked way too much, another big difference between her and her brother. "I'll be quiet now."

"Oh!" It suddenly dawned on Pantherclaw that Sunpaw was talking about a real bellyache not 'bellyaching'. "I see what you mean. Maybe I'll go do just that."
(Would you like to move forward in time after Sunpaw becomes warrior or still rp her as an apprentice?)

It was a quarter moon since Pantherclaw had spoken with Graythorn. They had a good talk and actually started to grow closer as brother and sister but they still have a long way to go but it was a start. The black she cat slipped out of the warriors den just as the sun was rising. Golden streaks stretched across the dark blue sky in an attempt to chase the darkness away. A bird twittered to Pantherclaw's right as walked across the camp. She turned her head toward the sound but saw only trees. That's alright, she thought. I'll find some prey today, maybe even some of your friends. Then she looked at the depleted fresh kill pile and sighed.

"You said it," Pantherclaw meowed. "I wasn't assigned to a patrol today so I was thinking about going out myself. How about you?" She asked the newly promoted warrior. "Are you on a patrol?"

"Let's go!" Pantherclaw meowed eagerly. "I feel like a bit of a challenge today. How would you like to hunt for pheasants in the wildflower meadow?" Graythorn had told her they had been a nuisance to him by scratching up some of the new herb growth.
"I'd like that." Sundapple responded after a moment. "I still feel like there's so much to learn, even now that I'm a warrior. It's kind of a relief actually. I've barely hunted pheasant."

"To tell you the truth," Pantherclaw meowed, "I've hunted them but never caught one yet." She thought about the large birds. She was on a hunting patrol early on in her apprenticeship when she saw Bonefang and Ashensnow bring one down together. It would be a great boon to the clan if they were to manage to catch just one themselves.

Pantherclaw was surprised at Sundapple's confidence in her but also very pleased as well. "I can only with your help," she replied graciously. "I saw it done only once but it took two cats to do it." As she continued to walk she tried to remember all Bonefang and Ashensnow had done that long ago day. "As best as I can remember, one cat sprang first to slow down the bird and the second one helped to bring it down."

"It was Ashensnow and Bonefang who I watched catch one," Pantherclaw meowed as she walked. "As best as I can remember, they stalked it side by side and when they got closer, Bonefang moved off to the side and Ashensnow continued stalking straight on." As she talked about it, her memories became clearer. "When she got close enough, she sprang aiming her strike for it's wings. Then Bonefang jumped and landed on it's back."
