Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Welcome to Part I of SpringClan’s current plot! This will be a multi-part plot comprised half of semi-private threads and half of open clanwide threads. Look below for an overview of what this thread entails, as well as links to plot tryouts and the previous parts that led up to this. Thank you so much to everyone who’d chosen to participate, our team is very excited to finally share this with you!
[THE TIDES OF SIN] OVERVIEW It’s been exactly three suns since the sacrifice of Jetstar and the ascension of the Ghost King, Draven. There is an undercurrent of unease in the air among SpringClan members, but some who still believe and hold faith in Jetstar’s decision continue to support and follow Draven. Now the time has come for Draven and a young apprentice to travel with a group of volunteer escorts to the moonstone, where Draven will consult StarClan and be graced with his nine lives, and SpringClan’s future medicine cat apprentice will receive StarClan’s blessing to begin her training. Not all is as it seems, however, and the truth may be darker than anyone dares imagine. Faced with an ultimatum that will determine the fate of SpringClan’s present and future, the world is about to change for the cherry blossom clan and their ethereal entity of a leader.
PREQUEL INSTALLMENTS BIRTH OF A LEGEND ; in which Draven makes his 'first' appearance in SpringClan and introduces himself to their world AND IT ALL COMES TUMBLING DOWN ; in which Draven finds the power to cross the veil during Goldengriffon and Jetstar's heroic attempts to dismantle the beaver dam SEND ME AN ANGEL ; in which Jetstar, having sacrificed herself to save her clan and officially destroy the beaver dam, gifts one of her lives to Draven to resurrect him into the living world and place upon him the weight of SpringClan's future
ALL IS HELL THAT ENDS WELL: CHRONOLOGY ASCENSION OF THE GHOST KING ; in which Sakurablossom introduces Draven to SpringClan, Draven takes his place as leader, Sakurablossom resigns from her post as medicine cat, and SpringClan gets a taste of the chaos about to unfold
PLOT TRYOUTS In this plot, there are three-four positions that must be filled. These are StarClan cats that aren’t quite what they appear to the eye. This is a role that will be featured near the close of this thread, but will become an important fixture in the following parts. If you’re interested in filling one of these roles, please venture to the following thread: HERE.
This is a semi-private thread, open to the following individuals:
SHADOW, who characterizes the ghostly leader, DRAVEN LAVELLAN, who characterizes the future mca, TIMELESSPAW COMPLACENTDEVIL, who characterizes the singular trusted, BLACKBERRY NOVA,who characterizes the dashing yet agonized deputy, GOLDENGRIFFON
DRAVEN & TIMELESSPAW’S WARRIOR ACCOMPANIMENT
FIREFLY, played by JETCLAW CHAIEFFERVESCE, played by STARK RAVING MAD
It should have been a dream come true. For many, born in the clan where they plan to live the rest of their life, aspiring to one day be as great as the golden age of leaders before them. To ascend to such a rank and know that they have the power to bring further greatness into the world of their friends and family and those around them, it must have been such a pleasure. Perhaps it was, for anyone but him.
Draven had never asked for a power like this. He had desired power, yes, but not as guardian of spring. It was a title bestowed upon him without his consent. For the black tom who gazed upon the rising sun of the third day of this new life, where he could taste the chilled air on his tongue, feel the burn of his heart pumping and blood surging, and experience the cold yet grounding earth under his paws, it was a chain and shackles that kept him prisoner of a clan that he hadn't considered home in a very, very long time.
The new leader of SpringClan turned and assessed the troupe that was slowly gathering with him at the entrance to the camp. A camp that still held puddles of rainwater, paths of sludge, and the memory of so many lives lost with no way of controlling or even helping. He blinked first at Goldengriffon, who was seeing them off, and then at the apprentice at his side, who he was certain must feel some semblance of discomfort at the close proximity to he, little more than a demon in the eyes of SpringClan despite his new title.
"Are you prepared for the journey we're to make?" He murmured, a form of softness coming over his expression as he gazed at her.
Firefly was still a bit of a brash young warrior, but guiding the new leader seemed like an important and valued job.
So naturally the bright ginger tom had opted to join in.
It was both cool and terrifying this strange cat that Jetstar had passed leadership to. It was surprising that despite picking Goldengriffon this tom had wound up as leader.
But Firefly was fine rolling with it, he hadn't had a chance to go to the mooncreek before, and since Fawnheart, his mother, had passed back in greenleaf. He itched to go to the place where her presence might be stronger.
Plus his mother being a medicine cat would've made the trek many times and after all the death and devastation SpringClan had suffered from all the flooding, he could use a little bit of comfort in the familiarity.

Blackberry found himself nodding, though it wasnt necessarily eager. It was almost an automatic response, one he wasnt fully conscious that he was doing. His eyes rose from the ground where his claws dug into the soft earth below, meeting with those of the cats around them. He gave a soft smile to Firefly, hoping that it showed some confidence to the younger warrior, before his focus shifted to the other ebony furred tom, a gut feeling of unease and lack of readiness washing over him. It was straightforward, yet something in his heart said everything was off.
Chaieffervesce joined the troupe, skipping over the puddles that spattered the ground as he did so. He was surprised to be chosen for such a task, surely there were warrior's more qualified to be an escort than the soft spoken tom? He wasn't about to openly argue this with the new leader though, not only would it be disrespectful he didn't want to risk angering Draven as a first impression. When he reached the other's he gave a slight nod of greeting but otherwise said nothing to the group.
To say that Timelesspaw was confused would be an understatement. Oddly enough, Draven's assumption wasn't quite on the nose - the apprentice wasn't feeling much discomfort at being so close to him. No, her mind was too occupied with the same surprise that Chaieffervesce was feeling: why her? She had been an apprentice for a couple of moons now, but she had yet to actually begin any sort of training. Comparing her to the other apprentices, she was definitely the worst choice for an escort. It didn't quite occur to her why it was that she was the one chosen to stand by his side.
As he spoke, she turned her large honey colored eyes to meet his, her confusion clear in her gaze. "I... I think so," she replied, shifting her paws slightly. She had prepared to the best of her abilities, but she still felt she was lacking.
