She couldn't help but purr at his closeness, it was nice and she felt happy and content. Giggling at his suggestions Pickles nudged him playfully, "I am not gentle nor graceful, but those are pretty names. I feel like Pickles won't go well with anything... I was named after my mothers favorite snack actually, but it might be time to change it altogether. Does it feel weird having your name changed?" Sky was a nice name, but Skycloud fit him so well.

"Well, to be honest, I had to get used to hearing 'paw' at the end of my name at first," Skycloud said thoughtfully. "But after awhile it seemed natural. I guess it was because everyone in the clan had two part names - even the kits. And by the time I was to be made a warrior, I was eager to get my warrior name. As you already know, it's a badge of respect." He gave Pickles another nuzzle in her neck fur. "But if you don't want to have your name changed, you wouldn't be the first. Besides I'd like you with whatever name you have." He felt contented just sitting here at this beautiful waterfall with this beautiful cat.
She had almost forgotten where they were and time didn't matter to her just then. She blushed and nuzzle him gently in return, content and happy to be there with him just then. "I think I liked the name Pickletail, mind if I steal it from you?" She chuckled. Maybe this is the final piece of the puzzle She needed to feel right at home in summerclan.
(Do you mind if I have her readded with the name pickletail? She got deleted in the ac because I didn't respond fast enough >.>)

Hearing this made Skycloud very pleased she liked his suggestion. To be honest, it was just a name that had come to him quickly but as he thought about it, it really did seem to suit her.
"Pickletail would be a fine warrior name for you, but it wouldn't be the first thing you've stolen from me," he meowed softly. "You've stolen my heart already." He softly licked her cheek and around her ear savoring her sweet scent. He hoped he didn't speak his feelings too soon. The last thing he wanted to do was to scare her away.

She warmed at his comment but nudged is shoulder gently with her muzzle and smiled, "That's only fair I would say, otherwise I'd ask for mine back." That just might be the smoothest thing that had ever come out of her mouth and she was proud of it. "I'm very glad to have met you," She gave him a return lick on the cheek, feeling a little bit bashful about the whole exchange.

Pickles words sent a thrill of delight from his ears to his tail tip. He had almost given up hope of ever finding love again. Actually he had been afraid of opening up to another after his first heart-breaking loss so he really didn't try. But meeting Pickles while out hunting had to have been orchestrated by StarClan themselves.
"Likewise," Skycloud purred as he brushed his tail along her side. "You have quite a way with words and a very nice voice." He didn't want to bring up about her stuttering when they first met in case it might cause her some embarrassment. But he did notice she had stopped. He hoped it was because she felt comfortable with him.

There was a knowing look in her green eyes, but she decided to let it slide. Of course he had noticed her stuttering, maybe he hadn't minded terribly? It was hard to say but she didn't care. Either way, she was excited to love this cat and get to know him better as time went on. She couldn't help but wonder what the universe had in store for them.
(Shall I start a thread where they go on a little adventure to Pickles' hometown? There's a lot we could do in terms of surprise and character development with them!)

(Sorry for the late reply. Been super busy lately. Yes, go ahead and start the new adventure thread. I'm excited to see how our characters will develop and how the story will unfold.)
"Ah, this is the life!" Skycloud purred contentedly. He then began to groom the fur on the back of her neck, an especially difficult place to wash yourself.
