Rubyflame hadn't been seen in days. The Immortal Council member, heavily pregnant with Fang's kits, had simply up and disappeared, much to the worry of her clanmates, and her mate especially, who'd already done everything in his power to threaten his guards into telling him. All that had gotten him was claws to the face and extra guards to ensure he didn't murder someone.
As it so happened, however, Foxstar knew exactly where the queen was. She walked the Janus halls, the earth surrounding her as she wound her way through the endless tunnels, a smile on her lips and a faint chuckle echoing through the darkness as she neared the makeshift prison. Glowstar, at current, was almost certainly, ah, preoccupied, with that mate of hers that the Priestess had finally gotten possession of. Whether she wanted the Senator near Deal was irrelevant, as her friend would have found a way to meet with him. So, though she'd never indicated her permission to interact with the tom, it worked to the fox-heart's advantage for today. Strikhedoniadalisay wouldn't even think to enter the other side of the Janus' camp, far from where either Deal or herself had been imprisoned.
Foxstar was getting impatient. Rubyflame hadn't kitten yet, and there was something different about the air lately. She expected the captured clans to make a move soon, and before then, she wanted the Council member's kits among her ranks. So, she was forcing that to be the reality.
Rubyflame lay tense in the nest she’d been brought to by the Janus earlier. She glowered at the one cat, Skipstep who stood guard. It both made her outraged and hopeless that SunClan really only needed one cat to watch her. And even then it was apparent the Tom was there more to ensure that if she started kitting there’d be some cat nearby to ensure the kits would survive.
She’d been hopeful that perhaps her kits would hold off for just a little longer. She could sense the change in the air. That though Glowstar had said nothing, but to have hope. Rubyflame believed she had something brewing.
And for Rubyflame to have been taken away from her clanmates, from her mate. Made dread gather in her belly, which worsened when she heard a faint chuckle and the scent of SunClan’s fox colored (and fox hearted) leader, draw near. Her ears flattened but she forced herself to not look afraid. Whatever Foxstar intended to do, Rubyflame was not going to give her the pleasure of seeing her afraid.
Heatherpaw was the only name Rubyflame knew her as, but it changed to Autumngossamer now, a pretty name for a cat full of garbage. But no one would be surprised to find out she would betray DayClan. She was only loyal to herself. Though separating kits from their mom. It didn't bother her too much, like whatever, it didn't concern her. But she knew she wasn't a DayClan cat, she didn't know where she really came from and wondered if some extreme situation like this happened. For the love of beautiful people, these kits would never expect such a thought out plan? To her it was totally not worth their time and effort, but if this was what a girl liked to do in her free time she wouldn't judge.
"Hey, loserflame," Autumngossamer said.
Her steps as steady as a pulse she walked over to Rubyflame, "Congratulations by the way. I'd never have kits, would damage my figure, but good for you."
She seemed far too young to already be ruining so many people's lives. She was a popular girl with a self centered attitude, it shouldn't have grown into anything more than a bratty girl who would someday realize she wasn't that important. Instead SunClan promoting her to Janus only confirmed what she already knew. She was born to rule whether it was at another girls command or not.

"Has she been behaving?" The calm voice of the Priestess drifted into the chamber as she arrived, a small bundle of herbs now laying at her paws. There was no question as to Rubyflame's health, and for that matter, Foxstar didn't even deign to acknowledge her, minimizing her presence to little more than a bug who had something the painted feline wanted. She briefly considered telling Autumngossamer to quiet down, after all, she didn't need Rubyflame to go straining herself with her kitting so soon at hand. Ultimately, however, she just gave an internal shrug at the she-cat's torment. She could have a word to keep the insults at a minimum when the kittens were present, but beyond that, Dragonswrath or Twilightbell could say something if they felt like it.
Rubyflame’s eyes narrowed into slits she debated lifting a paw to slash at the Apprentice. Whatever rank SunClan gave Heatherpaw, it didn’t change that she was just a snobby apprentice. But Rubyflame held herself back instead turning her head to focus on Foxstar, ignoring Heatherpaw (or whatever she called herself now Rubyflame didn’t care, her name meant dirt to Rubyflame at this moment).
Her eyes flicked to the herbs Foxstar had brought she didn’t recognize them. But she tensed wary of whatever they were and what they would do. Though a niggling suspicion arose in the back of her mind.
“Foxstar, to what do I owe the displeasure?” She said forcing herself to sound calm even as she tensed ready to lash out. Whatever Foxstar had planned Rubyflame would not go down without a fight. At least she vowed to herself she’d do the best she could.
It was either to kill her, and get rid of the potential kits since it was becoming uncertain if the kittens would be born before something happened to undo SunClan’s control. Or she had something that could force her to have her kits now.
Twilightbell had never been particularly comfortable in situations like this, but it was her duty to help the high priestess in any way that she could so she was here to assist to the best of her ability. Her large orange eyes were locked on Rubyflame. "You should watch your tone in the presence of the high priestess." She knew that it would be bad to stress her too much before the birth of the kits, but she also wanted to be sure that Foxstar was given the respect she deserved as SunClan's high priestess.
Littlebird was never far behind Foxstar, as she watched from the entrance, her tail wrapped over her paws. Part of her duties was to assisit Foxstar in all her tasks, and to learn. She couldn't say that she approved of what was happening here... Having just had her first litter, this felt wrong. Yet she held her tongue, perhaps this was some sort of test of loyalty.
Besides have the she-cats kits among their ranks would ensure that DayClan would behave once they were eventually back on their own lands. They had already recruited many members of the clan, but having their kits would make it even more difficult for them to face SunClan in the future.

Auricluster had kept to the outskirts of the small party of cats. His ears twitching as he watched and listened. He knew what was to come and frankly he agreed one hundred percent. Plus he had grown tired of Rubyflame's complaining. He wanted her gone. Out of his home. Frankly he wanted all of filthy DayClan out of his sacred home. They tainted it every day they continued to spread their filth upon it. He had rose to his paws as Foxstar had neared and stepped closer to offer aid if needed.
Rubyflame sneered at Twilightbell. "Why should i? Shes not my leader, she may have high favor with your god, but my beliefs lie elsewhere. Shes a murderer, a kidnapper, and a foxheart. I will grant her the same respect i would her namesake." Wariness, respect for the damage she could do. But that was it.
Rubyflame glanced around 8 on 1. That was not good odds if it came down to a fight. Especially given her impaired state and that Foxstar was among them.
Glowstar was the strongest cat she knew, and if Foxstar could gloat that she'd slain her in combat before told Rubyflame that even at her best she'd be sorely lacking against Foxstar.
A ninth showed up as Aspenglow entered the den. The Janus was into an apprentice and it showed in his size. He eyed Rubyflame cautiously, not sure what to make of her. She was DayClan, but she was also pregnant so he was conflicted to say the least. The ginger tom was rather soft, not one for all of Foxstar’s cruelty. He would not however speak against her and he would then be speaking against the Sun God.

Acaiburst peered into the nursery where he spent his days before becoming a Janus and moving into the camp after hearing about something going on with a Dayclan queen and her kits. He wasn't sure what to expect but knew his presence was expected if nothing else. He wasn't even six moons old yet and found himself sticking close to Aspenglow as he was closer to his age and not Heatherpaw. He dind't know her well but knew he didn't like her much either. He looked on at the old cats with an innocent curiosity.
"Touchy, are we?" Foxstar purred, "I'll take your words as a compliment. Now, onto the point of the matter. You will eat these herbs, or we will force you. Keep in mind that we won't be gentle, and frankly, I couldn't care less if you and your kits die because you chose to fight back. So, you can choose to go the easy route, and save yourself from injury, or you can make this difficult, and risk not only your life, but the lives of the kits you carry." The Priestess wasn't one to mince words, or threats for that matter, and she delivered her order with a calm, composed air despite Rubyflame's attitude. There was no winning the situation presented to her. She could give in to Foxstar, listen to an order by a leader not her own and sacrifice her pride, or she could be stubborn, and possibly die, getting her kits killed in the process. Now, the fox-hearted feline didn't want to kill the kits, but if Rubyflame forced her paw, so be it.
Rubyflame glared at Foxstar whole body tense, before looking down at the herbs. Her heart pounded in her ears as she weighed her options. There were 10 cats in here. And 1 of her. She could feel her kits, her and Fang’s, moving in her belly. Perhaps they were aware she was distressed.
If she resisted she could die and lose her kits. If she did not Foxstar and these SunClan cats would rip them from her. But she might survive. Her kits would be alive.
She closed her eyes hoping Fang, Glowstar and her kits would forgive her for her weakness. But she knew first paw survival was better. If she survived she could see Fang again. She could be with DayClan again. She would rescue her kits. She would claw them back from SunClan and nothing would stop her.
But in this moment she had to live, her kits had to live. Live to fight another day. When the odds were not stacked against her. She opened her eyes and met Foxstar’s evenly.
She would lose this fight, lose her kits, possibly forever. But she would come back. And there would be vengeance.
Then without a word she quickly bent her head and ate the herbs chewing them slowly looking each cat present in the eye. Committing their appearances to memory.
Because she would find them someday. And they would pay. They could look down on her now, they could sneer at her now. But she would survive and she would ensure they regretted this somehow.
She swallowed the herbs and after a few moments passed she could already feel the change, the start of contractions in her belly. She gritted her teeth against the rising pain. She wondered as she shifted on the nest trying to ease the rising agony, if perhaps having her kitting forced was making it more painful.
Snarling she dug her claws into the ground forcing herself to remain quiet as the contractions started.

"So it begins." Aruicluster stepped from his looming place some paces away as he felt the air strain with pain. He pressed forward and peered into the nursery. He was ready to lend a paw wherever foxstar were to place him.
Foxstar knew what she was doing, but it didn't feel right to force the she-cat to give birth. The kits inside of her would be big enough to surrvive without her now, but the birth of kits was supposed to be a celebration, not this...
Her mind wondered to the Sun God wondering if he would approve of this. This cat wasn't from SunClan, so that wasn't the issue. The issue is that these kits were going to be SunClan kits, and forcing their mother to give birth was risky. The stress and unnatural timing could end up harming some of them.
She stood close by, she had to put her faith in Foxstar and that she understood the will of the Sun God more than she.
Rubyflame’s. jaw began to ache from keeping her teeth locked together. But she refused to make a sound, though she breathed hard through her nose. And it was getting harder and harder to hold in shrieks.
Her control caved when the first kit started to make its way into the world. Rubyflame letting out a half hiss half yowl when a small black bundle slipped out onto the nest beside her. A dark gray Tom with black paws that resembled his father Fang. Rubyflame sucked in a few quick breaths letting out a soft groan that she muffled by forcing her face down into the nest as herbpdy pushed out another one. This one another dark gray Tom kit with a white belly that immediately began crying once he was out. Rubyflame remained tense as the contractions continued, knowing there were more still inside her.
Autumngossamer rubbed the back of her claw trying to get some grime out of it when she shook at Rubyflame's sudden yowl. She glanced over to Rubyflame as her eyes widened at the sight of her. Sure she never looked up to Rubyflame or honestly even gave a damn about her. But she'd give her this, she was strong and to see a cat turn weak and vulnerable all because of her pregnancy... It was like a dsiease! It could happen to anyone not to mention. She gagged. No no, don't you. She gagged again. Dammit don't throw up on your first mission. But it was literally being forced out of her! Like that wasn't anything like slitting a cats throat open, gutting a cat like a fish would be less gross. This was unnatural with all those... Things pouring out. Suddenly she realized she couldn't hear anything, Rubyflame's cries were gone, but she could see the pain was still there. Instead she could only hear a ringing noise in her ears and as she glanced at the cats around her she realized darkness was closing around her sight. Don't be a baby Autumn... Don't you dare faint in front of everyone! Get over it! Her pep talk wasn't enough to tell her body to stop reacting. No matter how demanding her mind was she couldn't make herself stop blacking out. No matter how deep her claws went into her paw to keep her awake. Why couldn't they just gut a cat open like a fish? She could handle that! She didn't feel herself fall or remember her last thoughts as she collapsed onto the ground unconscious. After all, there were few things scarier to a young she-cat than pregnancy.

Acaiburst watched with mixed feelings of curiosity and disgust. He was curious to understand how kittings worked, but something about watching the slimy little kits fall onto the moss next to her was disturbing and clearly he wasnt the only one who felt that way. He bounded over to Autumngossamer as she fainted and looked at her for a moment, confused why exactly she had passed out but noticed her chest was still moving. "Shes breathing. I think she fainted." He said, looking up at the older cats crowding the nursery.
"Someone should move her, fresh air might revive her." Skipstep meowed. "She might get in the way." IT was also a subtle way out if anyone was uncomfortable. He went over carefully moving to avoid stepping too close to Rubyflame and her newborns. He grabbed Autumngossamer by her scruff and pulled her out of the area carefully before setting the young janus by Aspenglow and Littlebird. Offering either his mate or the other cat that looked a bit uncomfortable an excuse to step out. "Someone please carry her out."
Rubyflame let out another screech that she muffled into the nest again as a little ginger bundle with the same fur color as Rubyflame slipped out. The two kits already out began squeaking and crying loudly, distressed by the noises their mother was making and shivering.
Skipstep went to take the dark gray one when Rubyflame in a surprising show of strength reached out and pulled her son in close with her forepaws, the other two still squirming at her side, her body rippling with the contractions, there were still more to come. But she hissed at Skipstep, pulling the little gray kit close even as he squealed in protest.

"Cant have that now can we." Auricluster's deep voice rumbled as he stepped farther into the nursery. He reached for the tomkit Rubyflame was being so protective of. He wasn't against givig her a swift ear shred to put her back in her place. "If you care for your son's safety you will let him go and continue with the task before you." His golden gaze was soft and liquid sunshine as he spoke. A rigid comparison to his sharp and edgy presence. "Release the kit or risk his harm. You cant clean him and manage your pain."
