Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Driscal had been accepted into Primal Instinct after being imprisoned for crossing the border. However, he didnt consider that as a bad thing. What was meant to be a punishment was more of a step forwarx for him. As he made his way through the dense forest, the light of the moon gave his surroundings a silver wintery glow and ignited the flames in his eyes. He was a lone soul and rather quiet. Didnt prefer much company. Only he and his shadow and that was all he needed. Though having a place to stay and live and a chance to become more powerful, it seemed ideal to stay with the so called "Primal Instinct" group he now was entitled to.
He sniffed the air. He could smell and hear the scurrying of prey in the undergrowth. His mouth watered and he positioned himself into his hunters crouch, slowly inching himself toward the smell. He came into view of a scrawny mouse. It was not much bur enough to put something in his stomach. Before he could pounce, he heard a loud snap of a twig and his prey escaped. "Fox-dung!" He cursed as he swung around to see who had been the cause of his only meal that day.
"Teheheheh, funny how I forget the rest of you eat prey like that." Her voice was childish and high with a British accent. It was taunting.
A fluffy white kitten sized huntress moved underneath the dark gnarled tree roots and over to Driscal. Her yellow eyes watching as his meal ran away. She had a cartoonishly big pink bow fastened around her neck and her fur looked kitten soft like white velvet, far too prim and untainted for a league cat to look. Innocentia licked the pink skin of her paw. There was only one thing that could describe her and it was fragile. The way that any speck of mud would ruin her fur, that one claw could unravel her bow. That truly any hunter could press a paw against her and she'd be pinned. It was amazing she had grown up in the league and not been taken out by something, even a snake.
Innocentia pranced past him. She scrambled up to the top of a medium sized rock, her tiny back legs kicking at air before finally boosting herself up. She sat down at first with her tail curled around her sides before lying down, making herself small and pressed low. Through the smothered darkness the crowded forest granted them quite a few rays of sunlight petered through the thick branches and ontop the rock warming it. This was rare for the league which possessed few light at all in the woodland region.
She was facing the league border, watching it carefully. She glanced back at Driscal before ears flattened, "Okay, I'll go fetch you another meal. I'd be upset too."
"Stop," She giggled, her paw waved at him dismissively, "Walk with me, we will go to another clans territory and hunt you a better mouse than that scrawny little thing you were chasing."
She leaned her head back to give him her best innocent smile, it wasn't long before the air warmed slightly, they were in FallClan's territory. No one had seen or heard from them so the place seemed open for grabs on hunting, "I was going to head to WinterClan, but this seems like it would be lush with prey. Though none of the type I hunt..." Innocentia remarked.
With a cute shrug of her shoulders she got to work. She opened her mouth tasting the air before darting off instantly like a hound who caught scent of a fox. In the weirdest and probably cutest kill ever performed Innocentia leapt at a brown mouse locking it into her paws before rolling over onto her back. Her paws still holding her prize before leaning her head in as if to give it a kiss, only instead she bit its neck, "Here you go mister. A normal, non scrawny mouse."
He gave her a crooked handsome smile which was highly unusual to see from him. "Well, thank you, Miss." He took the mouse from her and turnex away but he only took a few steps before turnong back and asking awkwardly, "You...uh...want a bite?...you caught it after all."
A stroke of pink heated up on either side of her cheeks. His smile could make anyone melt including herself. It sent a perfect shiver down her spine. She rolled onto her paws, he wanted to share his meal with her. No one did that in the league, maybe younglings who didn't know how competitive and cruel other cats would grow up to be. Sharing a meal was a high compliment. But mouse tasted like the color grey, white noise, a stale scent. She wanted to say no, but he looked back at her with those eyes that looked at her less like a stare and more as a person, "I'll share!" She chirped.
The tiny pink pads of her paws trotted over to his side, he was a looming shadow compared to her stature. She stared up at him with big gleeful eyes that were usually punished out of most league cats, "We could in that clearing."
He nodded, feeling his heart race a bit at her presence. He was usually ruthless but something about Innocentia brought out the best in him. He settled down with the mouse in the clearing and waiting for Innocentia to take the first bite.
Innocentia lied down next to him, she looked doll like. Velvet soft to the touch fur cozying up next to him, small rounded tipped ears and dainty little paws. She looked the way a two-leg wanted their kittypets to look rather than a cat only second in strength to Vera E'tani. She swallowed staring at the scruffy brown furred creature. She had eaten mice before and liked it back when she was a kit, but as an apprentice all prey tasted bitter and at some point revolting. But maybe she grew out of her childish picky nature.
She opened her jaw, a set of iridescent white fangs glinted in the sunlight. They looked sharper than foxes and almost monstrously designed to sink in a mean bite from the long fangs at the side to the leaned back teeth that allowed any prey to hurt themselves in a struggle. She took a quick small bite offering a smile until she began chewing. She winced slightly her eyes watering a bit. It tasted awful to her tastebuds as usual. Still she smiled and swallowed the morsel, "I think you'll really like it," She said, her voice coming off a bit strained as she tried to not think about the horrid taste in her mouth.
Innocentia flicked him with her paw playfully, "It felt rude to decline!" She giggled.
Her ears pricked at the sound of another cat, maybe FallClan really did still live on their territory... Still as she glanced around she didn't catch the scent of any cats and the sound of leaves breaking were soft enough to have been caught by a squirrel. She lowered her head back to her paws, "Were you born into the league Driscal?"
"An outsider? Did you get in before Vera started that initiation process? I haven't personally taken part in... Helping people adjust to the league, but I hear it's a wonderful little thing they do down in the pits," Innocentia said placing a paw up to her chin in thought.
There were a considerable amount of cats that had gone through initiation and at some point she stopped caring to notice. She supposed it made sense that Vera E'tani had never assigned her as prison guard or tormentor for the initiates since a hunter was allowed to do whatever they wished to them and she'd likely eat off what little flesh their tail provided. It wasn't easy hunting for a good meal every three days.
"That's what my mom did," She said giving a big toothy smile, "She said no one chased her off so she just decided to join, "Don't know why. She was always such a softy, not in a bad way, but she always seemed more fit to be a clan cat than a league cat. But maybe it was because she was nice that she joined, cause she felt the league needed her. I don't know where she's at these days though. I doubt she'd even recognize me."
"Hey, are you almost done with that, I'm hungry too and either have to get some leftovers or hunt something new."
He listened to her intently, curious about her story. "Thats nice." He didn't know what else to say but then she asked him if he was almost done so he quickly gulped down the last couple of bites and then stood up. "Yes. Lets get you something more your taste" he smiled.
