Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
He had thought long and hard (several seconds, in fact!) about how to start training. He remembered how he had first trained Shadeflower when she was Weed, and one lesson stood out: the day he’d gotten lost and she had to lead him home. The start of their friendship.
So, for the first day of training, the large tom led his apprentice to the middle of the territory then turned to face her beaming. “Go home!”

Lilypaw had so many idea's running through her mind as they had walked out into the territory, for her the very first time. Would they hunt? Would they do battle postures and moves? So many things that were a possibility but her mentor had been quiet the entire time. The she cat did get the idea that perhaps he was slightly slower at thinking things than others but wasn't bothered by it. When they had come to a complete stop she had been so excited she began to squirm in place. Slipperyslope had been quiet for a long time it felt to the apprentice when he finally spoke. She blanked for a moment. What.
"Uh...go home? You mean like just head right back?" Was her mentor teasing her? Playing some weird prank on her perhaps? Or was this a test? Lilypaw had no clue and was so confused. "I mean if you really want me to I can do that...I believe." She had for the most part paid attention on how they got here. Kind of. Actually it was kind of a blur the more she over thought this and internally started to panic.
“Do that,” Slipperyslope affirmed. He was frowning a little, and it deepened as time went on. Why was she questioning him? He didn’t usually give orders. Maybe he did it wrong. Normally cats were all too happy to run away from him, and it was upsetting that she wasn’t.
His voice shifted into a growl as he leaned over her, the corners of his mouth curling back in the beginning of a snarl. “Go.”

The growl made her realize that she made him mad so she gave him a nod, "I can do it." She paused then tried to smell the air like she had heard some cats do when they try to find home. Trouble was she was unsure as to what she was supposed to be smelling for. Worried she would look bad and make her mentor more angery Lilypaw pointed into the start ofnthe direction they had come from. Mayne if she acted confident on where she was going she would get lucky enough to actually find home? Lilypaw started leading the way to homr praying they'd make it in one piece.
The apprentice was nervous and felt bad she had made Slipperyslope mad, so as they walked she tried to find something to talk about. "Soooo uh Slipperyslope. Uh how did you get to be as cool as you are?" Oh did that sound as lame as she thought it sounded? Internally she cringed.
