The silver she-cat scoffed "I killed the snake that had you cornered, not once but twice. You should be thanking me" Tinymutiny sat down with her tail curled over her paws "Next time I will let you just stay up on the log until you starve instead of risking my own life" Jadie
"Oh, if you got bit by a rattlesnake you're a goner. We used to used to mix this herb," Soaringlight lifted up a shriveled looking, leafy plant that that was almost black with rot, "With this root," She lifted up a second, similarly afflicted herb," And some snake's venom, but all our plants died and our stores are nonexistent. I could give you something for the pain and we could try to suck the venom out but it really all depends on your immune system, how much venom was injected and how long it's been since you were bitten. So.. uh, lay down so I can see what I'm working with here. And it's probably a good idea to pray to your god while you're at it."

Tinymutiny debated on leaving, but fore some reason she lingered on. She really shouldn't have cared if the cat laying there on the ground lived or died, but she couldn't bring herself to go quite yet. Even faced with death the cat had been so defiant. Unwilling to accept her help, until it seemed inevitable. It reminded her of the way she used to be, before... Cleaver
"I don't have any gods," Sootstep muttered, affronted. He laid down with his back to the pair and his tail curled tightly around himself, glaring at the bite in his leg. It hurt, but he still didn't feel that much dizziness. It was likely just shock and blood loss, not venom, right? He had never been bitten by a snake before, he didn't know it felt, but he thought it was would hurt a lot more, and a lot quicker. Maybe he had been lucky after all.
But he had come all this way to be sure, so reluctantly he unraveled and rolled back over, offering his injured leg to the healer. "Do whatever you have to." He watched her with suspicion in his dark gaze before it inevitably drifted back to the she-cat that had slain the snake. She reminded him of his rival back home, always snapping and questioning him, only she wasn't leaving him behind the moment she had a chance. Funny how that worked. A SunClan stranger was more loyal than one of his own.
"Fine, you're not wrong. You did take them both down." He paused; then, more sincerely: "Whatever happens, thank you."

"Save it, till after your treatment" she replied curtly. She wasn't sure wat would happen next exactly, only that it wouldn't be pleasant. With any luck, the snake had only delivered a dry bite and he would be cleared. The silver she-cat settled down near by, staying out of the way while the priestess promised worked. She didn't know a lot about herbs and healing, nor the process of treating such a bite. Somehow she had managed to avoid a venomous bite thus far. CleaverJadie
Soaringlight took Sootstep's paw and cleaned it up some, then leaned it close to inspect the bite marks. It looked like any other snake bite she'd ever seen, still red and irritated from the recent bite.
"Don't squirm or make any strange sounds," She mewed and then gently placed her lips against his wound. She moved her heard around slightly as she found a good purchase, then began to apply pressure some pressure to the sides with her paws, like a kitten kneading its mother. It was soothing at first, dare I say a little erotic... but all that was ruined when Soaringlight bit down on the wound and began to aggressively suck out the venom-blood mixture.
Occasionally she would pull away and spit it out, then repeat the gentle kneading followed by a painful bite, doing so a couple of times before she pulled away and deemed her work done.
"I'm going to go wash out my mouth them I'll treat the wound itself. After that the rest is all on you."
The gray tom lay his head back down beside his front paws, grimacing at the strange motions the healer was making. It was uncomfortable to have a stranger touching him when he was so vulnerable, but Sootstep would bear it. He wasn't going to let these SunClan cats think he or his clanmates were too weak to handle a little snake bite; it was humiliating enough he was here at all.
Then she bit down and Sootstep jerked beneath her, snarling "what the hell?" through gritted teeth. He came here for help, and she bit him. He had expected some antivenom, maybe something to take the pain away, but he should have known better than to expect kindness from these cultists. He struggled to escape as she let go of him, capitalizing on the change to get out of here before they killed him, but as she spit out a mouthful of blood it finally sank in what she was doing. It was the most mouse-brained thing he'd ever heard of, trying to suck the venom back out of the bite, but reluctantly he settled down again and lay still until she finished.
"Fine by me," Sootstep muttered. He flexed his leg gingerly and was relieved to feel it still worked, even if his leg was smarting from the bite marks in his leg. His clanmates were never going to let him hear the end of this. "If you're done saving me, I won't take up any more of your herbs. Graythorn will have plenty back at camp." It would be a long walk home, but at least he wouldn't be stuck here any longer.

Tinymutiny's paw flashed out, landing heavily upon the tom's shoulders to keep him down as Soaringlight did her work. Once the worst was over she took a step back, allowing him to move freely "Pretty sure SummerClan won't have the herbs that you need for a snake bite" she replied curtly "So if you don't mind, I'd rather Soaringlight's effort go to waste just because you are to stubborn to sit still for a little longer"
THe silver she-cat gave him a stern glare, one usually reserved for her children when they were misbehaving. She made no move to stop him from leaving, sitting back down with her tail curling over her paws.
Soaringlight was gone for only a few minutes before returning with a poultice and some cobwebs. She was a bit rough as she dressed and cleaned out the wound - wounds - but, when she was done, Sootstep may be surprised to realize he felt a teeny bit better.
"You're not going anywhere except maybe to SunClan camp for the next few days. You need to move as little as possible and rest - traveling all the way to SummerClan is out of the question. I sucked out some poison but most of it is still in your veins. Your pain hasn't even started yet. So! Let's get you back to camp before it does start so Littlestar can tend to you, she knows more about this than me."
Sootstep glared back at the she-cat. She was stubborn and fixated on him getting the best care and she really shouldn't be so keen on helping him. He was her enemy; if he died, that would help her clan in the future. Laying undignified on the ground, he didn't feel very threatening, but on the battlefield, he was not a force that could be ignored.
"You've got to be joking," he muttered, swinging his head around to look at the deputy in disbelief. "You want me to go to your camp?" Sootstep had resisted treatment thus far, giving in with reluctance, but this time she was pushing too far. "There's no way I'm going there. Forget about it. Drop me outside your border and I'll crawl inside a tunnel and wait out the days there. If I die, I die." Death was better than being one of them. Now he understood why they had cared so much about saving him: they wanted him to become one of their initiates. Absolutely not.
Sootstep shoved himself to his paws and limped past Soaringlight, lightheaded from blood loss but determined to ignore it. He wasn't waiting around to argue.
"Suit yourself, I did all I could do," Soaringlight said. She had a good heart but her time in SunClan had hardened her some, she wasn't going to go out of her way to help someone who didn't want it. If Sootstep wanted to end it here she had no desire to be forceful about it, "Do me and favor and keep my name out of your mouth when you start dying. I'd like to have a decent reputation as a medical professional, I'm sure you understand."

Tinymutiny snorted as the tom pushed himself to his paws, she moved to block his path "Alright, Death wish, enough of your protests"
She pushed on his chest gently with a single paw, but in his condition it was enough to send him back into a sitting position "You can either listen to her and walk back to camp on your own or I'll carry you just like the kit you are pretending to be'
Soaringlight rolled her eyes. Tunymuntiy hardly made any sense. Most of the time it seemed like she hated everyone including herself, yet here she was going through more hoops that the Priestess Promised herself was willing to do for a total stranger.
"Tinymutiny, I'll leave him in your care until he either leaves territory or comes back to camp. I don't really care which option her chooses, just don't let him walk around freely."
