Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Bloodyhearts's eyes snapped open and he immediately felt sick to his stomach. He struggled to get to his feet - slipping and jarring his shoulder into the stone floor - and just barely made it the the exit before tossing up his lunch from the day before. It didn't surprise him. It had been crowfood.
The former SunClan leader now exile had only been barely surviving since he fled SunClan territory. He was a fine hunter, but not in WinterClan, which was unfortunately the only place he could find sanctuary. He couldn't go to any of the Forest Clans thanks to his curse and he'd burned his bridge with SwiftClan, who just so happened to be friends with all of the Mountain Clans...except for one.
So, that's how Bloodyhearts found himself mid-way up WinterClan's mountain, but he'd still yet to see a living prey animal much less another cat, outside of his companion Gingersnap, who, judging by the tracks, had left early to scout ahead. How did anyone live here? Was this really how he met his end, starved and suffering in some cave no one know about?
"Absolutely not." He muttered, kicking snow on top of his sick. He'd make his way to the top of the mountain and that was that. Limping slightly, the red-furred tom continued his ascent with the rising sun glaring at his back, following the pawsteps of the last cat who believed in him.
A pair of amber eyes noticed the ginger crawling its way up the mountain. And they were not impressed. Whoever it was had no skill in the snow, and... just was unimpressive. Not that it mattered anyway. Really, Agonywail wanted to leave the poor lump fur to be claimed by the mountain. By the look of it, he wouldn't last much longer. Another part of him wanted to bring back a prize. Another prisoner for the Clan, another scratching post for the apprentice's to practice on. It didn't take much to feed them. One rabbit every few days between all five prisoners wasn't that much. But another figure beat him to it.
A rather large she-cat with gilded reptilian green eyes approached the disgraced leader. Her silver gray tabby fur almost blended perfectly with the snow. Her coat was marred by all sorts of scars, old and new. As she neared, a majestic snowy-white streak in her eyes became visible, but her eyes showed no soul. As Soullessabomination looked down on the scrap of fur, she bared her long, stained fangs with a guttural growl worthy of their lion ancestors.
"Do you have anything to say, or are you just going to keep standing there glowering at me?" Bloodyhearts wasn't intimidated in the slightest by the massive she-cat that placed herself in front of him. Little could scare a cat who'd been ridiculed and cursed by his own god. Despite his sickly condition, the ginger tabby stood up straight, his tail straight in the air and his celadon eyes burning with something different than they had in the past, not that Soullessabomination would know any better.
"This one has a funny aura about him," Rosemarypaw snickered from Agonywail's side. The beautiful silver-pointed she-cat was peering through a turquoise stone that was tied to a her neck. She dropped it and it swayed slightly before disappearing back into her long downy fur, almost as if it had never been there at all, "Not the same as the demons, but similar. Very fascinating... I wonder what color his blood is?"
It was more of a warning growl than anything else. Clearly the tom had no intention of skedaddling, and he was already fairly well inside the boundary. Time to bring him in. She effortlessly moved through the snow to his flank and gave him a light push forward. "Move." In another moment teeth were biting at his ankles. If the tom were any smaller, she would have just dragged him back with her. While not quite as tall as her sister, she was a close second and also an anomaly in a Clan of giants.
The charcoal bengal chuckled at her comment. "Hmpf. Leave it to the demon to find a demon." He can't say he didn't fail to notice her beauty. Even though his encounter with her father went less than well and he had an arranged marriage, he couldn't help his wondering eye. He felt nothing real for Crimsonrose, so why not look around? "I'm sure we'll find out soon. Howlingnight trained our demon well. If that tom takes a step out of line, she'll show us plenty of his bloody." He paused. "If she doesn't, then we have some tweaking to do."
A low growl rose in the back of Bloodyhearts's throat and he batted Soullessabomination's paw away with unsheathed claws, "Don't touch me with your filthy paws. I can walk just fine without you prodding me."
With that, he began to pad toward where the she-cat had directed, clumsily making his way straight up the slope in an embarrassing show of inexperience. Even the kits of WinterClan instinctively knew it best to walk up inclines at a slight angle.

"Judging by his attitude, I don't think it'll take very long," Rosemarypaw giggled as she saw the intruder take a swipe at the demon. She figured she would have told Soullessabomination to step down or attack, the she-cat would be compelled to do whatever Rosemarypaw commanded, but she thought it more interesting to see what she would do on her own accord.
Now that the tom was getting closer, Rosemarypaw realized that he was very familiar... she couldn't pin down exactly why, though. She was upwind and couldn't pick up his scent just yet - she figured that would help her uncover the mystery.
It wouldn't take very long at all. She didn't want to get violent because he wasn't just some scrawny cat. He had some mass. But she still far outsized him, and that one nick on her arm was more than enough to get the ball rolling. The next nip at his ankle turned into a grab. Then she pulled the tom's legs out from under him and moved forward to press his face into the freezing snow. Another growl pushed passed her lips. "Understand?" To her, the snow was tool in combat more than a hinderance. She knew how to use it, especially against someone born in the sun. --- He chuckled as the demon pulled the tom into the snow. "What can say, you're a genius." Having never been to many Gatherings himself, he didn't quite have the same recognition as Rosemarypaw did. But he did vaguely know that this was a cat he had seen before. He smelled like crowfood from here, maybe he was a frequent rogue or something? But then why would the rogue suddenly come into the territory, one he was so clearly ill prepared for?
Bloodyhearts let out a startled yowl when Soullessabomination pulled his hind leg out from under him and fell, hard, on his already sore shoulder. He didn't struggle, couldn't, really, and just gasped for air for a few moments before glaring up at his 'captor' out of the corner of one of his eyes, "If you'd look me in the face, I'd spit on it. Wintrystar needs to teach her Warriors some respect. Even SunClan shows its intruders more courtesy."
~*~
"OH! That's Bloodystar. You are Bloodystar, right?" Rosemarypaw slid her way down the slope, dark eyes shining bright in curiosity as she lifted the captive's head off the snow to get a closer look, "Celadon eyes, red-rimmed with paint, devilishly handsome with a bad-boy frown and so cocky he'd sooner start a war than admit when he's wrong. I never thought I'd get a chance to mean such a Forest Clan icon in WinterClan, of all places! Looks like you finally got what was coming for you, huh?"
Soullessabomination hadn't noticed that they were being watched. Her heart raced. Did she act out of turn? Did she do something wrong to warrant this? She bowed her head as the Knight and the pureblood approached to avoid meeting their gaze. The silver tabby stayed in that respectful pose for a moment before pushing the former Priest's face into the snow. "Watch your words." She then released his head so Rosemarypaw could toy with the tom. --- Agonywail chuckled at the sight of Soullessabomination bowing her head at their approach. She had come a long way from the ignorant brat of an apprentice she once was. The she-cat learned her place. If only the rest of her siblings had fallen in line then the whole demon crisis could have been contained.
Now that name 'Bloodystar' did ring a bell. "Oh, fun. I remember my mother telling me about you. You took one of her prizes or something like that. Whatever." He walked around so that his longhair charcoal Bengal coat was on full display and contrast with the snow behind him. "You aren't worth even her courtesy, little guy. Can you believe it, Rosemarypaw?" He broke out into laughter. "Imagine being worth less than a demon..."
Gingersnap stood four fox lengths away and while her voice had the command of an alpha wolf her appearance against the WinterClan cats looked more like a snowflake surrounded by flames. Like her defeat was inevitable, the kind of person that would be finished in seconds. She was clearly more kittypet than a forest clan cat. She was the color of pale sunflower petals pressed against her dollish figure. Even her battle poise was more like striking a play position. Her flame point face and ringed tail was the color of dying embers and fading suns, a burnt orange that made her aquamarine gaze stand out like starlight. Her overly curly tail lashed to the side staring down Agonywail, Soullessabomination, and Rosemarypaw. She had the kind of glare of a disapproving mentor than of an angry feline, like she had expected better of them.
"Let him up, he can walk on his own paws," Gingersnap said, but seemed to have enough wits about herself to keep her distance for the time being, "I'm Gingersnap and this is Bloodyhearts, we were just looking for somewhere to stay."
Bloodyhearts had begun to growl a retort to both Agonywail and Rosemarypaw but was cut off by Gingersnap's shout. On one paw he was relieved to have an ally to help defend him against these blatant goons, but on the other he was sort of embarrassed that it had to be the sweet puff-ball that was Gingersnap. He'd never seen her hurt a fly and she had this unbridled childish energy that made it hard to take her seriously. Plus, he felt a little guilty that a good girl like her had followed him into his miserable exile... of course, he'd never admit that to himself much less vocalize it.
"Leave her alone!" He said more quietly, going absolutely limp beneath his captor's grips, "I'll do whatever you want, just don't hurt her. She's just an harmless idiot."
~*~
"Hmmm, I don't think so. Soullessabomination, attack!" Rosemarypaw giggled with glee, pointing her paw toward Gingersnap with a big smile on her face, "Just make sure you don't get too much blood on that pretty white fur of hers, OK? I'd like to use it to line my nest."
A joke, mostly. Rosemarypaw intended to call the demon off before it got to that point. The fun part was that this cat's life was in her paws and she didn't even have to get them dirty if she wanted to end it.
Damn it. Could she have waited a second before giving that order? Agonywail growled as he threw himself on top of Bloodyhearts after Soullessabomination simply turned her attention to the newcomer. "Could you have waited just a second, dimwit?! She's not the only one here!" While he did have all the respect in the world for a pureblooded family like hers, some things just had to be said aloud. "Think before you tell her to do something..." But, despite the little hiccup, the warrior liked what he saw from the demon.
---
At the sound of Rosemarypaw's voice Soullessabomination's ears focused in, and the order she gave a curt nod. She pushed herself away from the tom beneath her and prowled towards Gingersnap. Her long fangs glinted in the dim light as she bared her teeth. Her gilded reptilian green eyes narrowed as she size up her prey. Out of nowhere she went from a prowl to a sprint. Her rather large frame and plentiful experience allowed her to just push through the snow with little trouble.
Everything happened so quickly that Bloodyhearts barely had any time to react between Soullessabomination releasing him and Agonywail pinning him back down again. He immediately started hissing and spitting, struggling with all the strength he could muster - which wasn't much, given his current weakened condition - to free himself so he could protect Gingersnap, who he believed was even more hopeless in a fight than he was, "Damn it, we didn't come here for a fight! Call off your goon!"
~*~
"Oh, sorry, I'll be more careful next time," Rosemarypaw said but she was clearly not even the slightest bit remorseful. Agonywail was the highest ranking cat present, which meant anything that went wrong would be pinned on him, and he could just blame the demon. In other words, Rosemarypaw, as a pureblood, could get away with whatever she wanted.
"Tell me, Bloodyhearts," She meowed, slamming her paw down on the side of his head and lowering her face down to his, "Why did you think WinterClan was the place for you to go when you know very well we worship your arch nemesis, the Moon Goddess? Or are you so stupid you didn't even know that?"
~*~
The truth was actually a lot more simple than Bloodyhearts cared to admit. Due to his curse, he could not seek refuge in any Enchanted Forest lands. He was not welcome in the League or the Regime, nor could he hope to be accepted in SwiftClan or its allies, SummerClan and SpringClan. FallClan would not accept any Eeries of which he knew he was considered... Which left him with two options, the lonely life of a Rogue, Kittypet or Loner, or try his hand at life in WinterClan, where a certain cat he missed had run off to...
"Why should I tell you anything? You don't listen and frankly I'm not convince you even care," Bloodyhearts hissed, eyes watering in frustration and self-pity. He used to be the most powerful cat in all the forest yet here he was, pinned and crying in the snow, his life in the paws of a few lowly WinterClan Warriors. He couldn't imagine falling any further than this. When he replied next his voice was meeker as was his struggling, "Just stop... Stop all of this, we will go with you, just stop, please..."

No. Absolutely not. Not on his watch.
Shadowbard watched the proceeding from high above, on his rocky perch. As soon as he heard the voice, he had known who it was and there was a jealous fury bubbling underneath the calm surface her portray. He finally had his mate all to himself, and now HE was here. Shadowbard knew how Nikko had felt about the dashing red tom since the beginning, but Bloodystar wasn't good for him. All Bloodystar brought was pain to the one he cared most about, yet every time his mate would go running back to the tom like a bad addiction. The last time he had seen them interact, Bloodystar had even made Nikko cry. At least out here in WinterClan there had been enough distance between them to keep Nikkos mind off of the love he couldn't escape. No... Nope... No way.... He couldn't order the pureblood to send him away, rose he rose to his paws unoticed and began to race back to camp to find his mate.
