Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"Pretty, ain't it?" Ratstar and Azaleapaw were on patrol across the southern border of Summerclan, strolling across the cliffs overlooking the Southern Sea. The Summerclan leader had specifically arranged for it just to be the two of them; taking some time out of his busy schedule in the hopes of bonding with his more aloof daughter. Azaleapaw was far more driven and focused than Sunpaw, resulting in the pair constantly missing each other in-between training and leadership duties. Nevertheless, the leader couldn't help but take a moment to stare at the rolling waves sparkling in the evening light all of the way to the horizon, glad to have a moment to relax with family. He hoped Azaleapaw enjoyed it too. lavellan
It had honestly surprised Azaleapaw when Ratstar had approached her, and it took most of the walk here to push her suspicions aside. There didn't have to be an alternate reason for her father to want to spend time with her, but it had just been so sudden that she couldn't help it when the thoughts came to her. At some point, the fluffy she-cat had decided to focus on the patrol. It nearly scared her when Ratstar spoke, and she swung her head to actually take in the sights.
Was this what he wanted? she thought, but a small smile crept onto her face. No one could ever claim that Ratstar didn't care about his kids. "It is," she agreed, her gaze focused on the sea and horizon.
The Summerclan leader glanced down at his daughter with a soft, fond gaze, his face brightening as he noticed the relaxed smile on Azaleapaw's face. Across the waves, the sun was slowly beginning its descent into the horizon, painting the sparkling ocean in red and orange. He definitely understood why some cats called it the 'Sun Drown Place'. The pair sat there watching it for a moment, before Ratstar couldn't resist the goofy grin that crossed his muzzle. "Only 'bout half as pretty as you though, lil' darlin'," he purred, giving her a small, playful nudge before wrapping his tail around her and pulling her in close. "Look at ya; I still remember when ya were a tiny lil' thing, but now you're gonna be a warrior soon enough."
