Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Pinesimmer was in a terrible mood. Not that this was fundamentally different from his normal mood. The angular tom just appeared extra grouchy today, and looked about ready to bite the head off anyone who irritiated him. Which was everyone, really. And also, he wasn't exactly the strongest cat in the forest, not by far. So he'd probably get his tail kicked if he tried. That didn't stop him from immediately slapping the cat who accidentally bumped into him full force in the face.
"Oh my, that hurt so bad, I think it's going to leave a new scar," sneered Phantomfox, who retaliated by hitting Pinesimmer on side the head with a rock. Hopefully, but probably unsuccessfully (to everyone's collective dismay), killing him.

Pinesimmer, by comparison to Phantomfox, was more leg than anything else, and he obviously stumbled at being hit in the head with a rock, a thin trickle of blood trailing down the side of his face as he turned to snarl at the tom when he regained his balance. "No, but this will." The brown tom countered, lifting a paw in a quick movement to slap Phantomfox once more, this time with claws unsheathed.
Pinesimmer's claws connected beneath his eye, causing Phantomfox to recoil back a step. "That all you got, Pineshiver?" He tossed the rock he'd previously used to smash the side of the other tom's head with towards him, but in the moment Pinesimmer used to dodge that, tackled him square in the chest.

"Your blows are just like your name. Barely there." Pinesimmer curled his legs up as he was bowled over, extending them to kick Phantomfox in the stomach, forcing the other tom right over his head. Which was about as good as it got, when he got up, watching Phantomfox closely to make sure he would actually be able to dodge this next hit.
He was nimble, Phantomfox would give him that, leaning heavily into his front legs to keep himself from rolling into the dirt. He swung around and glared at the other tom, knowing full well he didn't have an advantage where speed and ability were concerned, so he tried the next best thing. "DISTRACTION." He pointed off in another direction.

Pinesimmer was stupid. Very stupid. But even he wasn't so stupid as to look the other direction when someone literally yelled 'distraction'. If Phantomfox hadn't... well, he might have fallen for it. As it was, he kind of just stood there, staring at Phantomfox. "The fact that you believe I'm that much of an idiot tells me you're far overestimating your own intellect."
"Well, you should have listened to me," he said, now standing several feet away as the screech of a hawk could be heard, the predstor in question taking a dive towards the skinnier cat who was now the only one in view.

Pinesimmer only barely realized what was happening before it was too late and outright tackled Phantomfox, attempting to kick the tom at the hawk, though he wasn't especially strong, so it likely didn't do all too much as she heard the flap of wings and claws miss him by mere inches. He was stunned enough, for the moment, that he didn't actually have a rebuttal for once.
