Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
"MISS ME?? OF COURSE YOU DID." Vulcan was a ghost. An annoying one at that, if Chim had any say in the matter. For that matter, the resident SwiftClan ghost had disappeared a while ago. And now, he was back. Apparently, those who wished him gone had been a bit too hopeful, as now that he was back, he was probably even HARDER to get rid of than before. Oh well, his kits and grandkits and such would jsut have to deal, wouldn't they? "OH CHIMERASTARRRRR, I'M BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACK"
Peachblush tried not to have an aneurysm as Vulcan reappeared. "StarClan, I forgot ghosts are a thing here," he muttered, before clearing his throat and putting on his best welcome home face. "Vulcan, we've missed you here! ...Chim's not around much anymore, though."
Vulcan looked shocked. "Well, where is he. I'll find a way to drag him back. It's no good if he's not hanging around. That would be very boring indeed." Of course, he then smiled at Peachblush's reaction. "If he doesn't come back, you'll just have to be my new best friend, won't you? I'm sure you'd love it."
"He's..." Peachblush grimaced. Did he tell Vulcan the truth about Chimerastar and get roped into being his new best friend, or lie and possibly get out of the situation entirely?
It was barely a choice for him, in the end. "I think I heard he went to the beach," Peachblush lied, very naturally and not at all stiffly. "Yes, the beach. That seems about right."

"Alright, new best friend, you're coming with me then! You can stop being my friend when we find my grandson. Wouldn't let an old ghost like me go exploring alone, now would you?" It was a rhetorical question, considering Peachblush clearly wanted to be away from the spirit. Unfortunately for him, Vulcan didn't appear to be having it, and fully intended on dragging the tom along one way or other.
"Great. Okay." Peachblush suppressed a sigh as the ghost refused to leave him alone. I really need to start learning how to lie better. "Where are we going, bestie?"

"You said he went to the beach, and I don't know where anything 'round here is, so you tell me which way it takes to get us to my grandson." Vulcan answered, glancing around the area. "What kind of place is this, anyway? Are you allergic to WaterClan's old territory or something?"
Peachblush sighed. "Yeah, we keep moving for some reason. I don't really get it." It struck him then that he didn't really know where the nearest beach was--there was a dock with some boats in it, but was that really a beach? "Um...I think it's this way," he said, pointing to the entrance of the Hall of Mirrors. "We have to go through there, I mean."
“I’d much rather be back in WaterClan territory.” A polydactyl orange tom complained. Oceanscent was still a bit bitter about loosing his birth clan years ago. It didn’t help that he lost most of his family and had been held prisoner in WinterClan for many moons. But he was slowly getting over it, mostly with the help of finding some family left in SwiftClan. Of course it would be nice if his father chose to acknowledge him instead of running away. However now his great-grandfather arrived out of nowhere, perhaps the two of them could wrangle Chimerahunt into having a conversation.

"You going to help us find my grandson?" The dusty orange form of Vulcan turned to Oceanscent with a grin that suggested he wasn't actually going to get a choice in the matter. "It seems that Chim thinks he can ignore me, and that won't do. So new best friend whatever-his-name-is, and I are gonna find him."
"It's Peachblush," Peachblush supplied, but he suspected the ghost would forget many, many more times. "And um--yes, we're going looking for Chimerastar. Who is definitely chilling at the beach as we speak and is not at all dead."
“Ah well join the club, I have been looking for my father for what feels like moons.” He stood up and stretched looking over the ghostly cat. So this was the famous or infamous Vulcan, depending on who you asked. Apparently he was his great-grandfather and yet another cat Chimera tried to avoid. “I find him after nearly dying and spending moons in prison only for him to run away from me.” He huffed.

Vulcan probably already knew Oceanscent was Chim's kid. Or maybe not, honestly, who knew how much he paid attention. "Well, great grandson, we'll find him, and then he can run away from me and Fuzzybutt, right into your paws! Sound like a plan? Good. GO TEAM."
"It's Peachblush," Peachblush said, very patiently. "And I'm sorry that you've been unsuccessful finding Chimerastar all this time. Hopefully today's search will prove much more fruitful." Peachblush himself privately suspected that Chimerastar's family-okay, mostly Vulcan--was half the reason for him taking off, but he chose not to voice those thoughts out loud. He also suspected that they weren't going to find Chimerastar in any form other than a corpse, but he kept that to himself too.

"I like my version better. You should change your name to something less boring." Vulcan answered, intentionally or unintentionally trying to see how far he could push Peachblush before the tom would snap. Of course, there's not exactly much he could do to a ghost. "This will prove useful though! Either we'll find Chim, or I have a new best friend in you, Fuzzbutt"
"I like my name," Peachblush said, slightly offended. His name was impressive--all of his littermates had fruit-themed names! Lemonburst, Cherrystem, and then Peachblush! Well, they had fruit-themed names, because the first two were dead. Great. Now he was depressed. Even more depressed than he would be if he had to become Vulcan's new best friend. "Do you really want to find Chimerastar or did you just come here to bully me?"
