Crownedstag waited for his apprentice to emerge the morning following the ceremonies where she choose him as her mentor. He had awoken early, but decided to start off their session with a... well a bit of action. As soon as her ears poked out of the entrance, he launched himself at the apprentice with a loud yowl. Aiming to bowl her over with his surprise attack to see just how prepared for training she was Nova

Sunflowerpaw couldn't wait for her first day of training with Crownedstag. He was a strong warrior, confident, nothing seemed to bother him! Even though she had accidentally bumped into him during the ceremony, she couldn't be happier with her choice. The little apprentice let out a silent yawn that ended in a small squeak as she rose from her nest. She gently rubbed her eyes as she glanced out of the den... oh no what time was it! She was going to be late! Sunflowerpaw quickly ran out of the den, just as her mentor pounced. With a startled squeak, the little ginger tabby ducked and rolled out of the way just barely missing her mentor's giant paws

Most cats would have been mad that they missed, but Crownedstag had a giant grin on his face as she rolled out of the way "Good to see you are wide awake!!" he didn't pursue, after all the whole point had been to catch her off guard, and he was to busy laughing at the frightened expression on her face to really be angry "You are already more aware of your surroundings than my brother, so you'll do great kid" he took a step back to let her actually out of the apprentices den.
