In only a few short days, Risingpaw would become a warrior. He could barely contain his excitement, but at the same time, he wasn’t one to rub in his accomplishments. He was also going to miss all of the other apprentices, not that he was leaving them forever or anything, but he knew things were bound to be different. Feeling torn between pride and apprehension, Risingpaw looked around the apprentice den to see his peers curling up and ready for bed. A glance outside told him the sun was almost below the horizon, but it wasn’t late enough to stop him from proposing the sudden idea that popped into his head. “Hey, guys. Promotions are coming up soon and everyone’s been doing so good with their training. So, how about we go out tonight and celebrate together?” he asked with a hopeful glint in his eyes.

Sure, Weaselpaw wasn't truly an apprentice, but he was of age to be. The medicine cat had been hanging out around the apprentice den, especially since the disappearance of Chestnutheart, to make himself feel less alone. It was oddly enough one of the few places he felt like he fit in, even though back in Springclan he had felt so distant from the apprentices there. It was bizarre, but he liked his clanmates, not that he knew them very well, but he perked his ears at Risingpaw's proposition, hoping that he might be able to join them.
