Littlestar looked around at the assembled cats in the darkness of the Janus camp. Her paws still covered in dirt from her grandson's burial, working along side her son and other grandkits to lay the mangled body to rest in the sunflower field. Yet there was no rest to be had for her, having ordered the Janus, Soothsayer, and Bravewolf to gather here quickly in light of the finding that morning.
"I'm afraid the threat I warned you about has coming treading along our borders far sooner than expected...."
She paused allowing the cats assembled to take in her words "This morning, Honestpaw was found brutally murdered in the Bone yard by Darksonata and Soaringlight. His head was caved in, and deep gashes wound their way around his body. There was no foreign scent. There was no signs of a struggle. He was killed and then placed into the bone yard for us to find. It was almost as if there was more than one cat involved. One to carve the deep intricate cuts, the other brutal and more barbaric. I have no proof, but I suspect that it is related to the entity that did this to me...." she stood, showing her scars to those that were assembled
Divinehope's fur bristled in fear at Littlestar's words. More cats were dying and she felt she were responsible. Did she make the right decision in persuading Littlestar to stay? Divinehope let Littlestar's words sink in for a long moment before finally responding. "We need to ask for help, Littlestar. More of us are going to die if we don't seek help. One clan alone cannot destroy this thing..." She glanced at the other Janus before turning back to Littlestar, almost afraid to say what she was going to suggest next. "Jetclaw is now leader of Springclan. If she has any loyalty left to Sunclan, she will help us."

Paintedcanyon had closed his eyes and shook his head as Littlestar's words settled deep within his mind. When would Sunclan now peace... when every last one of them was dead? No, he couldn't afford to think like that, though he couldn't keep the thought from passing through his mind. The dark ginger tom looked up at Divinehope as he curled his tail around his paws.
"There may be some truth in that..." The tom said carefully. "But should we risk bringing another clan into this when we don't know for sure what it is we're facing? Has any one of us grown closer to figuring out what this entity is? Or are we still grasping at thin air in a dark cavern?"

Littlestar had grown quiet, allowing the Janus to speak among themselves “and tell them what?” She questioned, her eyes raising from the stone floor “That we have one dead apprentice?” Their was a uncharacteristic bitterness to her voice, backed with a looming cloud of grief “Even if they did believe our words and acknowledged the threat, how many of the other clans would offer their assistance? Clans that not long ago banded together to watch SunClan burn” NightClan...DayClan...Primal Instinct... Renegade Regime...MoonClan that they had kicked out of their home.... Those bridges had all been burned.
”SunClan needs time to recover... A majority of of our fighting force is still injured, and those that are not are scattered between finding enough food and water just to sustain the clan. We have many enemies, and few allies. Asking for help now would be inviting another invasion of those that seek to destroy SunClan”
Littlestar paused, turning to Bravewolf this time “We need to visit the isle, to speak with Honestpaw about his death”
Nightfury sat it the back of group. Really, he didn't know why he was told to come to this meeting. Soaringlight had been there as well, so he wasn't particularly needed. It didn't make sense to him. His pitch black fur allowed him to melt into the darkness on the sides of her den. He subtly shook his head at the notion of bringing another Clan into it. Even if they asked, no one would probably help. Besides, it would only put the target on others' back.
Divinehope lowered her gaze in embarrassment for even suggesting such a dumb idea. Of course no one would help them. Besides, who could they really trust at this point? Sunclan was one of the most hated clans at the moment.
Bravewolf was probably the only cat to offer a slight head nod to Divinehope's idea, only to see others bash it. "I think you're underestimating the willingness of others to help, especially those who we are family with. Not many clans are as cruel as SunClan can be, otherwise you wouldn't be here, Littlestar. Even if we couldn't get entire clans, we could get plenty of individuals." The silvery tom batted at one of the embers emanating from him as it floated through the air, a slight frown on his face as he continued to think. "But if we're to seriously consider that option, we do need more information first." He agreed with her notion of visiting Honestpaw... if the apprentice had even made it to the isle.

"Perhaps in the future, but the time to ask for help is not now" at least in that they could agree. She didn't share Bravewolf's optimism of the other clan's coming to their assistance, even after DayClan had shown her kindness. She hadn't been a threat to them then, beaten and broken almost beyond recognition. Even then their were protests about her being allowed to stay, with Vixenkismet defending her presence there "I will go and visit the isle with Bravewolf to see what we are able to find out from Honestpaw. In the mean time, keep your eyes and ears open"
She hesitated to speak the next part, knowing that it made her sound even more paranoid and crazy than she already was "This thing... it's manipulative. I hope and pray that this isn't the case, but whomever did this could be walking among us. Its to early on to assume anything... Just be alert"
Divinehope returned Bravewolf's nod with a grateful glance. At least they were thinking the same thing. Bravewolf was smart and he seemed to say all the right things. When Littlestar mentioned going to see Honestpaw, Divinehope took a step forward. "Y-you wouldn't happen to need an escort...would you?" Divinehope looked hopeful with high hopes that Littlestar would allow her to go with them.

Littlestar nodded "You might as well come along" honestly she and Bravewolf would be fine, but it wasn't every day that they ventured to the isle. It was an experience that she wasn't sure the young Janus had even experienced other than her time at the Temple of The Sun "Perhaps he will open up more to one of you" it hurt to admit it, like a sharp pang in her chest. Her granchild hadn't even gotten to know her or Skipstep before being taken from this world.
Divinehope perked her ears in excitement. She was doing something important and it made her feel good. She would keep them safe, both of them, no matter what. Pride made her chest swell and she squinted as a smile spread across her face. It was rare the young Janus smiled. Mostly because she always felt helpless but now was her time to help and show Littlestar how capable and reliable she could be. “Thank you, Littlestar” she purred, giving a polite dip of her head.
