Brightdawn groaned as her belly touched the soft moss of her nest. She had just woken up and had forgotten about the extent of her injuries that she had suffered at the ceremony spring. She had leapt into the water to try and escape some of Bloodystar's warriors, not knowing that it was boiling hot. The burns were the worst on her paws, but it had splatted up onto her belly leaving it patched and sore. They couldn't be bandaged because they needed air to heal, but were covered in salve to help ward off any infection. She was kept on some herbs to help with pain, but they could only do so much to soothe her. To make it worse, the mischevious she-cats was stuck in her nest, having to keep off of her paws so that they wouldn't get any worse. She laid her head back down on the crook of the nest, her tail twitching. If she didn't get out of here soon she was going to die of boredom @samiam
"You look absolutely miserable" Mapledawn chuckled, not unsympathetically as she entered the den where her injured daughter was being kept for her own good. Her golden gaze softening as she recognized the irritated look on her grown kit's face. It was one she knew all to well, from both her days as an initiate and then her time as a prisoner under Bloodystar's reign.

"Of course i'm miserable" she replied back dramatically sighing, but the grin on her face showed the she was glad to see her mother. "I can't walk, can't train, can't hunt. For Sun God's sake I can't even go and get my own food" Being pinned in like this was nearly torture for someone with as much energy as her, even with the poppy seeds in her system. She lifted up her head, being mindful not to move to much and have a repeat of what happened a few moments before. At least her new mate had been by her side sine then, never leaving her for to long until Littlerstar shooed him out of the treatment den so that she could do her work. "Who knew being waited on could be so frustrating?"
"Everyone whose ever been forced to sit still" she teased moving to sit by her daughter, setting in so that she could gently grrom Brightdawn's fur in an attempt to soothe her. "I can't say I'm surprised though, you've always been wound up, ever since you were a kit. It was nearly impossible to keep you in the nursery." she sighed, but smiled fondly at the memory. "Do you remember? You'd drag poor Aurorasky everywhere you went against her will."

"What do you mean used to?" she smirked a little, even with her stuck still ready to get into mischief "Don't worry I will find a way to put her up to something even from in here" She closed her eyes as her mother's tongue swiped over her short fur "I just need her to come and visit... But anyway its not all bad" she yawned, wanting to stretch out but stopping herself barely before she hurt once again "At least Tawnyowl is here with me. Hes out hunting with a patrol right now, but I don't mind staying here so much when he is by my side"
