Littlestar settled down into her nest, weary from working since sunrise trying to get things back into order. Bloodycrow had left the clan in shambles, nearly on the brink of falling apart for good. She had originally intended on getting her family and leaving, and even now she doubted if she was making the right decision in staying. The looming threat of the thing that had tortured her always in the back of her mind. She had asked earthquake to come and visit her in her den, simply to catch up and to speak about something rather horrifying that she had recently heard about from lionpride...
He honestly didn't care what the reason was, having heard Littlestar wanted to speak with him the large now warrior dropped everything he was doing and headed straight to his grandmother's den. It had been obvious that since Littlestar's return return the gray tabby was definitely happier, no longer did hatred constantly blaze in his eyes every time he spotted one of Bloodystar's loyalist, though he didn't think he would ever be able to fully trust every one of his clanmates again.
"You wanted to see me?" he asked poking his head into the high priestess den.

Littlestar moved over, patting the nest next to her for Earthquake to join her. She had been very close to him and his sister. They were her first grandkits, and she had been the one to deliver them, and watch over them until lionpride had been mentally well enough to be with them once more after loosing his mate. He hadn’t mouse...paw? Since her return. It was like old times when he and his sister would spend the afternoons listening to her stories. A warm purr rumbled in her throat “It is good to see you” he voice sounded a bit hoarse, wheezing slightly with every exhale. She wanted to pull him close and snuggle him into her warm fur, but he was a warrior grown, and she wasn’t sure he would even want to be that close to her now. She knew the stories that had been spun about her, the tales Bloodystar told her children to get them to turn on her “I just wanted to spend some time with you, to talk about whatever is on your mind” she was to tired to do much now that the sun had set, but that didn’t mean she could listen
Where Littlestar was hesitant Earthquake wasn't closing the distance between them and first lightly headbutting his grandmother before nuzzling her cheek. A deep purr rumbled in his chest even as he took a step back so that the two could get a better look at one another. It was clear from the relief in his broen eyes that whatever lies Bloodystar had told them he didn't believe any of them. He'd always remained loyal to the true High Priestess even despite his betrothed's efforts to convert him his faith never waivered.

As soon as Earthquake initiated contact, Littlestar melted into his touch. Her tongue rasping over his ears affectionately, and a purr rumbling through her whole body "I missed you" she replied letting her nose touch his cheek "I'm sorry that you had to go through that. I should have done more to protect you" there was no apology big enough to show how much guilt she felt over what had befell her family during her imprisonment. No words that could express the crushing feeling of having failed them not once, but twice. She had come back her to liberate them, to take them away from SunClan. Yet she couldn't bring herself to do it, not when it meant leaving some of them behind... "I wish I could go back and spare you, but perhaps I can do something for your future" she paused moving back to look into his eyes "I know Bloodystar forced you into an engagement while I was away" she paused giving him a moment "I want to offer to break that engagement for you... If it is not what the two of you want. You don't have to be trapped in and engagement that neither of you asked for. If the two of you are happy together, of course I will fully give you my blessing to stay together. I would love nothing more for you to find love, and to be happy. It just... I want your relationship to be something that you want, not something that you feel like you have to do"
