The chaman was working hard to do right to her group. Dayclan had an excellent territory filled with herbs that were so useful to Renegade Regime that the she cat was going to take advantage of it. Braelynn Kinsley had a small package of seeds sat aside from the herbs she knew she could grow in the surroundings they normally lived in, but unfortunately not everything would be growable. Some had to be above ground and she would have to think of how she would acquire such herbs when time came to leave. For now they had a decent supply of items that would help the Regime. The calico she cat gave a sigh, was she doing good enough? Was she not giving it her all? She needed to do more, work harder, be better for the sake of everyone. In truth Braelynn was putting more pressure on herself than she realized and sooner or later it would backfire on her. As it was (and she would never admit this to anyone) the she cat had no real friends.
Sentinel Havliah had been passing by and noticed that the Chaman seemed to be heading to the surface alone.... which was increibly risky as well as unnecessary. Mercenares existed solely for the purpose of aiding and protecting the rest of the group during their day to day lives, why didn't she have one of them with them? Was she up to something?
He tried to reign himself in, even he knew that his assumption was unfair and unearned, perhaps she did have a good reason to be going where she was going alone. All he needed to do was find and what and why, then he'd either be peacefully on his way or take care of it.

“I imagine she is going to collect herbs.” Pip Needletoes appeared next to the sentinel, in a manner that was quiet and unsettling. The black and white tom had perfected the skill of materializing out of nowhere. It went well with his skill of observation. Of course most cats found him odd or concerning, though probably also the least annoying of his family members. The Needletoes were after all the strangest family in the underground.

The chaman turned in surprise to see both toms had appeared next to her. "Oh I was just going to get some herbs like Pip mentioned. Uhh," she paused for a moment before quickly adding as the idea came to her, "If you guys aren't busy would you like to accompany while I get them? I mean I can do it on my own just fine but you know sometimes having extra paws can be useful. Plus the more herbs I get now the more stockpile we will have once we can get back into our own territory." This would be the first time going to actually see what the territory above looked like. Braelynn wasn't a fool knowing the dangers that were above but she felt that it was pointless to having to go find someone to ask to come with her. If however they just appeared right in front of her how could she not take the opportunity?
(racer you gave me the idea and I am going to run with it XD Poor Pip and Havliah are going to be so confused)
"I'm not..." Havilah began to say I'm not a Mercenary but then thought better of it. Telling Braelynn that she couldn't go without a Mercenary would both annoy her and discount Havilah's own strength as Sentinnel. He'd been a Scout before his promotion, but that was only because his eating disorder, he would have made a fine Mercenary had fate not been so cruel to him.
"On second thought, I will go with you, but we need to be quick about it. The ground above is DayClan territory and trust me when I say they are not as nice at they make themselves out to be. This mission could be dangerous."

The light calico gave a small nod," Perfect. Pip would you like to join us as well? If you don't have anything else planned that is." Ice blue eyes looked towards the scout with curiosity at what his answer would be.
"Scout Pip Needletoes. Your Chaman is speaking to you," Havilah growled, his forest green eyes burning as he gave Pip the nastiest look. Even though not much time had passed before Braelynn had asked her question, Havilah had judged it had taken much too long, hence the attitude, "Will you be joining us or will you not?"

Pip had originally been planning on going out the visit a certain someone, but now he felt like he couldn’t get away with that. “Oh yes I would love to join you two.” The black and white tom liked Braelynn well enough for how little he knew her, she seemed nice enough. habillage however was rubbing him the wrong way. Didn’t he ever get distracted by his own thoughts? Flickering his ears he calmed himself down. It would do no good to get mad over a little bit of attitude from a cat who clearly had deeper issues.

The chaman was not expecting Havilah to react the way he did but was glad Pip still agreed (and didn't seem to be annoyed at her anyway.) The she cat's tail twitched with enthusiasm, "Great! Thank you guys for joining me on this. I know it's not the most fun journey to make but it gives us something to do at least and who knows? Maybe we will see something fun along the way." Getting started the she cat made her way from the tunnel to the surface which was something she hadn't done in a looong time. The sun was bright and the weather was brilliant however that was not what caught Braelynn's attention. Getting to the surface completely the stood completely still see...something around the place. Her voice pitch went up a few octaves. "Hey guys can you see what I am seeing...or am I just going crazy." In front of the she cat was what could only be described as floating things that were somewhat transparent. Where these ghosts?!
Havilah sneezed into the ghostly air, unconsciously releasing little sparks as his element activated. They faded quickly enough and he swatted the the apparition, annoyed by the substance but not very afraid of it.
"I've never seen it before, but this must be mist. It was explained to me as a cloud but on the ground. It's harmless," Havilah explained, opening his mouth to taste the air. It just seemed so... heavy. Sort of like the most humid of summers times ten, "It messes with my sense of smell. I'm not sure if we'll be able to find anything if it doesn't let up, unless of course you know exactly where we are going, Chaman."

Braelynn wasn't sure how to feel about this. Honestly she was terrified with everything going on around her but on the other she didn't want to let her group down. She had a good idea of where to go to but had to push herself to get past...these things. The chaman made a mental note to talk to someone about this later. "I know where to go. We can do this since we have you two and me around...I know we can accomplish this." Her breath came out shaky but she steeled herself for what whatever came next. They needed to get these supplies to take with them whenever they were going back...or if they ended up somewhere else. They would need all the supplies they could obtain.

(Not sure exactly what either of their elements are, but I’m going to play this as straight as possible with Pip knowing/understanding nothing)
Pip meanwhile noticed nothing unusual other than maybe what looked like sparks from Havilah. But he brushed it off as sunglare, he had been in the tunnels the last few days without leaving. “I mean this whole place is a little odd.” He mumbled slightly, not sure exactly what those two were going on about. “What sort of things are we collecting?” Pip knew a little bit of healing, though nothing more than what prevents infection. And that knowledge was really only useful with the old territory’s herbs, DayClan held nothing familiar to him.

Keeping things calm Braelynn closed her eyes naming off the list of herbs she wanted. "Willow bark and leaves are found in camp so that isn't something I am worried about. What I need to find is Coltsfoot and Lavender over in Golden Pastures. On the way back to camp I'll need to grab some Comfrey Root and Oak Leaf over at Cadence Valley. I was told by the the medicine cat they are there. I figured I might as well take opportunity while we had the chance" The pale calico looked to her company, "I think we will be able to find it all without a problem and with the three of us we can do this all within one trip."
"You sure seem to know a lot about DayClan territory," Havilah commented. He wasn't being particularly aggressive but it was hard to miss his accusatory tone. It seemed Braelynn's familiarity with the topside of their new territory made him a bit more suspicious of her, "Lead the way I guess. I know all of those herbs so I'll just keep my eye out... unless you'd like to split up to try and get this done faster. I'll let you decide."

Braelynn merely blinked, "I only know about as much of the territory as what the Dayclan medicine cat told me and described to me. I know plants and that's about it, but if I follow their instructions we should be able to find them. I also think it would be best to stick together incase one of us gets lost or something like that." Although she held no anger in her voice her tail swished and her eyes narrowed only slightly. "Lets head out then." Aside from the accusatory comment it was nice to have two cats by her side in case trouble brewed. After all if something happened...if a fight broke out she wouldn't likely be the winner against a professional. She knew only enough for basic fights to defend herself.
"Alright..." Havilah may have sighed dramatically, it was hard to tell, the mist of course dampened all sounds and he was no longer facing Braelynn. The auburn-furred Sentinel simply focused on the misty forest around him and did his best to watch for both herbs and hazards, one of which wasted no time rearing its face...

"What are you doing up here?" The voice had a touch of sarcastic sass indicative of any child of Autumgossamer, not that Divinefavor really considered herself one. The ginger-and-white she-cat looked guarded but not aggressive as she made her way through the fog to face down the Renegade Regime patrol. It appeared that she was all along, but it was hard to tell, "You are of course welcome to visit DayClan territory, we have open borders, but forgive me for being a little suspicious. You look like a hunting patrol and sharing the upper grounds with you was not part of the agreement."

The chaman gave a small nod to the Dayclan she cat that came at them out of nowhere. "Why hello...uh my apologizes I don't know your name but you have no worries about us hunting. I got permission from your medicine cat that I may pick a few herbs for our Regime. If by any chance you are still uncertain of our intentions then by all means go ask your medicine cat or come with us. We could use another cat with us. Plus it may just keep other Dayclan cats from thinking we are actually hunting on your territory." Her tail swished to the side and Braelynn felt pretty smart with her quick thinking. Worse case scenario the she cat would come with them but even then that wasn't a super bad thing. Best case scenario she would just go away.
"No, I believe you," Divinefavor sighed, even though the Regime patrol had garnered her rare favor she didn't really seem all that pleased about it, "Brakewings is a lazy tom who probably won't reply if we tagged him, so I'd rather not bother. I'll stay with you for now. Not being I'm worried about your intentions, but because I figure you could use a guide."

"Uh... thanks," Havilah couldn't exactly reject her assistance, especially since they were visitors in her territory, not the other way around. Still, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was being babysat and it kind of pissed him off. He turned to face Braelynn but said nothing. This was her patrol, so he'd let her lead it.
(since Atom quit we'll pretend that Pip went back to camp or something & continue if you want!)

(That sounds good to me!)
"Well the help is useful so thank you. We planned to first head towards the Golden Pastures for Coltsfoot and Lavender. While I do have a general idea of where it might be I think if you guided us that way it would make the excursion go faster. Isn't that right Havilah?" Braelynn gazed at the tom trying to read what was on his mind but couldn't come up with anything.
Just then another figure crossed their path, this time another Dayclan cat. Her white pelt was short with odd heterochromia eyes blinking in surprise to seeing the Renegade cats with Divinefavor. "Everything okay here? Need my assistance Divinefavor?" Orchiddrop towards the two in curiosity rather than malicious intent. "I know you, you are the medicine cat for the Regime yes? Sorry but I do not know who you are though." She turned towards the tom in a small apologetic manner. "Unless I am mistaken I deduce you are gathering herbs for your clan. If so by all means I have some extra time and can tag along with you guys."
Braelynn paused listening to the Dayclan warrior before speaking. "I think it would be useful to have one more cat sure. I think this should be more than enough cats to handle this adventure. I am ready when everyone else is." She once again looked towards her Havilah hoping he didn't mind the extra person accompanying them.
