Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Most cats took shelter during dreary days like these, but personally, Crow loved the water and rain. It sleeked down his dark fur and filled him with a serenity others spent their whole lives longing for, and, catching sight of an unmistakable gray pelt, he decided to urge his son to join him. "Come on out, Drizzlekit. The birds don't like to fly when it's raining," he coaxed the little tom.

Drizzlekit looked up at the sky from the nursery warily. He knew his dad wouldn't lie to him. He was his dad, of course. But those birds were tricky creatures indeed. But he hadn't seen one in the sky. Drizzlekit tentatively poked his head out, only to pull it back into the nursery after a particularly fat raindrop fell on his nose.
"Dad! It's raining!" He squeaked as he shook his head. "Won't we get all wet?"
"We will get wet," he allowed, but waved his tail towards the sky and raised his muzzle up into the mist. "But playing in the rain is really fun. Come on, come splash in the puddles with me~" All over camp were puddles of various sizes, the nearest of which Crow slammed his paws into and caused an eruption of water to splatter all around him.

Drizzlekit tilted his head as he watched his father. It didn't take long before the little gray kitten smiled brightly and ran out of the den, sliding along the wet ground with a loud squeal until he fell right into the puddle that Crow was splashing around in.
Crow laughed as he was doused even more, some mud also being flung up on him. "See, isn't it fun? What do you say we get your uncle Chimeramask in on this...but, we gotta be sneaky." Suddenly, he dropped into a crouch and cast furtive looks every which way, as if they were secret spies on an important stealth mission.

"Oh yea!" Drizzlekit squealed. "I know where to find him! I bet he's in his secret spot stuffing his face" The little gray kit giggled. Drizzlekit got down into a less than perfect crouch, wiggling his tail in the air. "I'll lead the way dad!" He exclaimed as he started crawling forward on his tip toes
"Roger that, Drizzlestar!" Falling into step behind his son, Crow shuffled after Drizzlekit as they sought out Chimeramask, who was doing exactly what he was suspected to be doing. "You ready, Chief?"

"Ready and prepped, gold leader." Drizzlekit mewed with the determination of a kit on a mission. Which he was. "Uncle Chimeramask won't know what hit him...!" The gray tabby started pawing at the earth, leaving scores in the muddy ground as he wiggled his rump in preparation to pounce.
"On the count of three... one... THREE!" Drizzlekit screeched, launching himself at Chimeramask and landing on the back of the unsuspecting warrior who let out a surprised yowl at the sudden sensation
Crow hung back for a moment, smiling as he watched his son scare the fur right off Chimeramask's pelt, then he joined in on the attack. He pressed his front paws down on his adopted son's shoulders to hold him in place, then leaned to whisper (rather loudly) to Drizzlekit, "He's ticklish all over his belly and in between his paw pads!"
