Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
She was small still. Young. Alonah-tyke has only just started to explore. Mostly she kept close to her raiser, but now she was growing curious. The little tyke has ventured deeper into the tunnels. Or... well deep to her. Not so much a larger cat with normal sized legs.
"Alonah-tyke what are you doing outside of Post Kilo?" Raiser Venus had been tracking the tyke and had finally caught up with her. Now she moved to stand in front of the little she cat while she awaited an answer.
“Eek!” Her squeak echoed the tunnels, obviously having been startled by Venus. “O-oh!” She spun around and then back around as the feline moved in front of her. “I.. I just wanted to explore a little...”
"You know the rules. No tykes are allowed to leave Post Kilo. What kind of soldier would you be if you abandoned your post?" Venus was having none of it. She was already nudging the tyke back towards Post Kilo. "Lets go then. If we get you back before the superiors see you, there shouldn't be any trouble."
”But why can’t we see the rest of the tunnels? It’s just not fair. They expect us to pick a job and we don’t even know what they are like!” She was pouting, definitely not happy.
Soldiers visit Post Kilo all the time for different reasons. You can ask one of them there. And what kind of Soldier will you be if you abandon your post and talk back to your superiors?" Venus knew she was being hard on the little tyke, but in situations like this, it was expected. The Regime followed a strict set of rules even if her brother's rule was more relaxed than most. "Come along now. If we return now, you won't miss out on the large rabbit that Spy Diana brought for everyone to share."
Venus gave a small smile as she led the way back to Post Kilo. "Don't take it too hard. You aren't the first tyke to be scolded for leaving and you most certainly won't be the last. The rules are there for a reason though and good little soldiers know how to follow the rules."
“Did you get caught?” Decimus-tyke had watched Venus bring Alonso-tyke back into Post Kilo. It seemed like another tyke had failed in their exploration attempt.
"Don' look s'sad," came the jolly voice of a creature as he padded up to the kittens. He had been informed that they'd had a little escape artist, and, honestly, the idea delighted him. However, he probably shouldn't show the kitten just how amused he was. "Min' if I join'a two of ya?" the superior asked, flicking his tail. "I bet if ya let me we coul' have a lotta fun, even jus' in Kilo."
“Eep!” Alonah-tyke jolted at the sudden voice, having not expected it. She turned to see the superior, her head ducked. “Sorry...” was she in trouble? Maybe not. The cat was saying he wanted to play, after all...
Unlike Alonah-tyke, Decimus-tyke smiled when he saw Symmetry. "Are you going to play with us today?" He didn't seem upset over anything so chances were they weren't in trouble over anything. He didn't spend much time playing anymore since his mother was preparing him and his brothers to become cadets so he wanted to take advantage of what little playtime he did get.
"I's considerin' it," he meowed with a smile, his tail swishing playfully. "But onl' if ya'll let a ol'man like m'self join yas." The raiser superior didn't have a mean bone in his body. Even if he wanted to be mad, it was probably quite likely that he wouldn't have it in him. "Plus, it'll keep ya rugrats outta the furs of the o'er raisers, hmm?" He offered a wink to Alonah-tyke in particular, an easy smile never leaving his face.
"One day when ya big'n strong, ya'll see the tunnels," he promised her, ruffling the fur on the head a bit with his tail. "Jus' gotta be patient, lil'one."
