Madame Wiggins strolled through HQ, searching. Particularly for any of her children. Calm and collected, the dilute tortoiseshell held her head high, prim and proper as she was. She wore an easy, polite smile, the sort of thing that you could see the spark of intelligence within, but she never needed to state such a thing, it was simply a given. Hedwig Needletoes appeared more the cat you'd find among royalty in a fantasy novel, not necessarily the sort of cat you would see in the military group of a world. And yet, here she was, and she was killing it. At least, she would think so.

Another dignified she-cat sat around HQ. Psyche Soulaine was a pretty albino, a trait that also meant she was assigned to the rank of a guider. Her lavender-tinted eyes simply couldn’t handle the harsh daylight. So she was meant to help heal the regime, which she was good at even if her bedside manner could use improvement. “Afternoon, Hedwig.” She spoke as the tortoiseshell walked past her. Perhaps she would regret starting a conversation with the matriarch of the Needletoes family, they were odd, but she didn’t have anything better to do.
"Afternoon, Psyche Soulaine." Hedwig tittered, turning to face the she-cat, her motions graceful as she paused, gently brushing down her pelt as one might if they were covered in flour after a particularly messy baking session. "Is all well with you? Or are we simply exchanging pleasantries for small talk's sake?"

Psyche couldn’t help but grin at Hedwig’s forthrightness. That was refreshing to not have to pretend. “Oh I suppose for small talk, though I am doing quite well.” She was a guider after all, if she was constantly sick that would not reflect well on her own healing skills. She already was more or less incapable of being a mercenary or scout due to her eyes. There would be very little left for her to do and Blind Protector forbid she would have to become an auxiliary.
