Damek hadn't intended to come back. Moreover, he didn't intend to stay. Frankly, the only reason he'd dared to venture below was because the Regime was beneath DayClan, close enough that all he had to do was navigate the tunnels. He'd figured out how to hide the fancy glowing god stuff, so he looked normal, albeit with eyes that seemed to shine with something supernatural in them. Well, the Regime probably wouldn't recognize him anymore. Anyone who hadn't seen him since he'd left wouldn't, anyway. His fur had grown in, sleek and silver, with dark cinnamon-red stripes, and he had finally hit a growth spurt, no longer being the hairless weakling he'd been born.
He hadn't asked anyone if he could visit... just kind of showed up. He also hadn't seen his dad in a while, and was getting concerned. Bravewolf didn't really think Dusky would have just up and left him, at least, he sure hoped not. Was it bad to hope he didn't spot his father here? If he did, it would be only to easy to assume the tom had lied to him and then left anyway.
The voice came from one of the many tunnels, but it was hard to pinpoint which one exactly. Reverberations of sound echoed from wall to wall, masking just which wall it hit first while also giving it a sort of ethereal tone. All that Damek would be able to tell that it was a young, likely male speaker, but even that was open for debate.
"If you pick the right tunnel I'll show you something really cool..." He continued, chuckling slightly, casting off more echoes, "... but if you don't, then I guess I'll have to kill you."
It had been too long since Damek had been in the tunnels. Not to mention, these ones were unfamiliar, and not quite the same as the SunClan ones. Of course, he had the advantage of supernatural ability on his side, and was slowly learning to trust the senses he couldn't explain. So, he more or less chose the tunnel that seemed right. "I don't think my family would be happy if I died here." He commented, thinking about what poor fate this cat would see should Shule find out he'd been killed by some random Regime cat.
Damek was answered with light-hearted laughter as he made his way down the chosen tunnel. If he was paying attention, hidden beneath the layers of echoing laughter was the scampering of paw pads against stone. Whoever was messing with him was clearly very near but just slightly out of sight, likely dark-furred to blend in so effortlessly with the shadows in the presence of the literal Sun God.
The further Damek traveled, the darker in became and, for a full thirty seconds, it was black as pitch. The scampering of the other cat's paws had disappeared as had his laughter, leaving the SunClan tom in a moment of sensory deprivation, the only sound to be heard being his own breathing.
"You're almost there!"
The voice disrupted the eerie stillness and came from way high up above, seemingly quite distant. Whatever tunnel they were in now at the very least had high ceilings. Almost as soon as the voice called out, Damek would have been able to see just the slightest tendrils of light, guiding him toward the voice.
Damek resisted the urge to light himself up, as it were, in the darkness. He didn't know who or what was calling to him, so revealing himself to be anything but mortal would likely be a bad idea. So instead, he just continued to follow, albeit cautiously to make sure he wasn't simply being led into a trap. What an ironic way to die that would be.
The path that Damek was following veered suddenly to the right, forcing the SunClan Warrior to turn or, well, hit a wall. Rounding the corner, Damek was greeted by a massive cavern, big enough for at least a dozen monsters to sit comfortably. There was a small light source at the very top of the cavern which suited a cat's sharp vision just fine but, coming from total darkness to a shifting light, it would take a few moments of eyes to adjust before the more... intricate details of the new scenery was visible.
Wait... shifting light? Why would it be moving...?
"Look up and hold your breath for me!"
Just as Damek's eyes would have realized that there was a cat in front of the light source, the mysterious feline took a few paces back, then ran and leaped off the ledge. Damek would get a clear view of a dark brown tom as he twisted and turned midair, completing a series of impressive flips before putting his paws in front of him in a dive. Hitting the ground from that height would mean certain death and any onlooker would assume that was his fate.
Instead of a splat, however, Damek heard a tiny splash. Upon closer inspection, it was clear that the cat had dived into a small dog-sized pool not far from the ledge. He'd be okay... if he resurfaced.

Damek blinked rapidly as his brain tried to process the suicidal move of whoever this was. Could this cat even swim It was with a tad more hesitation that he approached the pool, trying to figure out how to tell grandma Shule he'd resurrected a Regime cat, or that he'd just witnessed said cat kill themselves in from of him. Either way, that wasn't going to be a fun conversation to be had, so he could only hope that this cat actually survived...
No matter how long Damek stood at the water's edge, the cat would not resurface. It was as if the earth swallowed him up in one tiny gulp leaving not even a tuft of fur as evidence of his existence. What would Damek do?

What was Damek supposed to do? Well, whatever the answer, what Bravewolf actually did was panic. He pawed at the water, embers flying off his body as he forgot to try and make himself look 'normal' anymore. He pawed at the water, but he didn't know how to swim, so he didn't actually have any idea how to help. If the cat underwater was alive, it was probably good. Because now the temperature of the surrounding tunnel became like an oven, his paw literally steaming as the water evaporated from it and he stared into the waters that were probably starting to slowly heat up as well.
The voice was behind Damek now as was a series of sloppy paw-steps as the dark-furred tom shuffled around, the cave floor evidently growing too hot to be comfortable. The cat was small, smaller than Damek at least, with short fur that was slick due to moisture from his recent swim. It was hard to make out exactly what his markings were in the low light but he was dark furred and his points were even darker, some kind of pointed cat, perhaps? There was no mistaking his vivid blue eyes though, a shade more vibrant than the sky, a rare shade of turquoise.
"Are you an Elemental?" He asked eagerly, padding closer to Damek even though his paws were burning, "That's so cool! They say that if you don't have your element by the time you're apprentice age, you'll never have one. I'm not quite outside of that window yet, but... I think I'm not one of the lucky ones..."
The tom trailed off, his eyes on the embers sparkling of Damek. He was so transfixed by then that for a moment he forgot to shuffle his paws and was only brought back to reality when the pain became too much. He took a few steps back and started shuffling again.

The shock made him feel like his heart was going to stop. But it didn't, and as soon as his brain started working again, the air seemed to cool in an instant, his own glow blinking out like it had never been, making it feel as if the air had rushed out of both of their lungs from the drastic change from burning hot to comfortably cool.
Damnit. The cat had seen his powers. Well, he'd just have to roll with it. As such, she gave a slight nod. "Yeah. I got my abilities right before I became a warrior." Bravewolf answered simply. It wasn't a lie, per say, but it was most definitely an oversimplification of the entire event.
"Yeah, I figured that much. What did you think about my trick?" The young tom accepted the whole elemental thing in a couple seconds and was back to his original question, which was really all he cared about at the moment. He'd put a lot of work into this whole event, damn it?
"Don't you want to know how I ended up behind you instead of dead in that pool of water?"

At least they moved on quickly. And to be honest, Bravewolf DID want to know, so he nodded enthusiastically. "Absolutely! I thought you were a goner for sure." He admitted, still not entirely sure he hadn't gone insane and was now talking to a ghost or something. It seemed as plausible as anything else in his life at this point.
"A good magician never reveals his secrets," The tom purred, a smug expression on his face as he padded over to the side of the pool and placed his sore paw in the water. He flinched as it was significantly warmer than what he had expected and did not offer the relief he was seeking, "But I supposed I'll make an exception and tell you... if you show me your best trick first!"

Bravewolf facepalmed. Of course. He didn't have a trick prepared. "You'll have to let me get prepared then. This is sort of on short notice." He didn't really have enough time to think of any reply but an agreement. Maybe he was still in shock from the entire situation. But now he'd agreed to it, so he was stuck with the consequences.
"A-OK capitan," The tom replied, sitting down right where he was standing by the water's edge. He began to start grooming himself seeing as his fur was soaked, although strangely enough he never took his eyes off Bravewolf, "Take your time. The best tricks require thorough preparation!"
(I'm assuming they're somewhere Dusky could find them xD)
"Did someone fall?"
The voices familiarity couldn't be mistaken for anyone else, but Bravewolf's father. He had the slow and velvety trickster voice, the kind that took its time and rhythmically flowed like a song. Dusky was in the instance, but couldn't yet make out his sons presence, but did pad further into view.
"That's my cue to go," Icepaw said quickly, casting his bright blue eyes toward the sound of Dusky's voice. He was conflicted it and looked it. While he was dying to see the trick elemental Bravewolf would do, he wasn't so sure if it was worth getting captured by the Regime. That being said... so long as he didn't hurt anyone, there was no way that he could get anything worse than a quick scolding, right?
"Actually, never-mind, just pretend that the enemy isn't coming and proceed. I have another trick that'll get us out of this if things turn sour anyway."

Bravewolf was still in the midst of trying to figure out something cool to do as a trick when the voice caught his attention. Instantly, there was a flood of relief, followed by a gut sinking feeling that he'd been right, his dad had abandoned him after all... "...Dad?" His voice was surprisingly small, as if the fire in him had gone out like a light the moment Dusky's voice reached his ears.
"Brave?" Dusky asked, turning in time to see his son, "Damek!" He exclaimed with a wildfire of a grin as he raced over embracing Bravewolf, "I've missed you, how is everything? Are you feeling more comfortable in your role or did you maybe turn away from it?" He sat down in front of Bravewolf with a determined expression, "I want to hear everything. Oh and duh, obviously, why am I down here is what you're wondering. Your grandparents and brother have sentenced me to "work off my sins" in a sense. This is supposed to be an area that doesn't have any exits so I'm pretty much left unguarded over here. How did you get in?"
