Vixenkismet absolutely was not supposed to be in the Regime territory, regardless of whether it was under DayClan or not. At the very least, Shule would absolutely not approve it, that is, if she were even able to hear arguments about it right now. As it was, Foxbane had fallen in, and to be honest, the ex-Priestess was lucky to not be especially injured, though she did have a large gash on one shoulder that made her limp a bit, pain sparking throughout her body as she slowly got to her paws with a hiss. Best to get out of here before getting into trouble with the Regime. Well, if she knew exactly where here was, that would help. Unfortunately, she only knew the surface territory, so she was all but lost at the moment.
A feline lurked in the shadows, drawn to Vixenkismet's fall site from the commotion the former SunClan High Priestess had made on her way down. For the longest time she made no move and just observed. That was the first part of any solider's training: Evaluate the situation before running into it. Could she handle this on her own? Should she call for backup? Should she just wait and see what happens? A lot of questions race through her mind... all of which were dashed the second she heard Vixenkismet's hiss of pain.
"Are you okay?"
Sapphira had a motherly nature about her. She didn't like any cat to suffer and was always among the first to offer a paw even if it was at her own detriment. Even though she knew who Vixenkismet was, her prejudice was nonexistent and she padded over the the fox-furred she-cat and offered her her shoulder for balance, "That was quite a fall."
Vixenkismet paused the moment she heard a voice, a tad surprised by the fact they didn't sound hostile. Either this she-cat had no sense of self-preservation, or the Regime was extraordinarily negligent in informing it's Soldiers about those who were usually their enemies. She turned slightly, involuntarily wincing as she moved her shoulder, blood running in a steady stream to the ground below, leaving behind a crimson print. "I have lives to spare." She answered evenly, which really didn't answer Sapphira's question at all. "Don't worry, I can treat it once I get back to the surface, I'll be going." With that, she started walking.. in the entirely wrong direction.
"Alright, suit yourself, but I can't allow your to wander in the Regime's tunnels unattended. If the wrong cat finds you..." A certain auburn-furred tom came to mind, "... it could be very dangerous for you, no matter how many lives you may have left. That's not even including all the dead ends and drops that not even I know about. This territory is as new to me as it probably is to you."
Sapphira fell into step beside Vixenkismet or would drift behind her if the tunnel became too narrow. She didn't point out that this tunnel was the wrong way or offer a better path: She'd let Vixenkismet lead the way until she realized her error and was forced to ask for help. It was the same trick she'd used on tykes and cadets for many moons and she was pretty sure it'd work on a stubborn cat like Vixenkismet as well.
Sapphira wasn't wrong to escort her. In fact Vixenkismet appreciated it, despite realizing after a while she was wandering in circles, as she noted her own bloody pawprint on the ground. "Are you just going to watch me bleed out?" She questioned, though her voice was calm rather than irritated.
"Forgive me. I did not want to assume that you needed my help since you did not ask for it," Sapphira explained, her diamond-like pale eyes shining brightly in the low lights of the caves, "The Regime trains its soldiers on firm principles of trust and communication. What that means is, if a cat is lucid and mobile, as you are, I trust that you know your limits and will communicate when you have reached them."
The beautiful silver-furred she-cat placed herself in front of Vixenkismet with true concern on her features, "What would you like me to do to help you? I can give you options if you’d like.”

"Even then, most wouldn't just let someone wander aimlessly around their lands." Foxbane pointed out with a shrug. A shrug she very much regretted, as fresh blood poured out of the wound once more. "I need to get back to the surface. You even said the wrong cat finding me here would be bad, so the less time I spend underground the better." Not to mention the fact Vixenkismet wasn't exactly a fan of tunnels. After all, it was the underground prison she'd been kept in that had driven her insane in the first place.
"These are not my lands," Sapphira corrected her, turning down a tunnel that they had not gone down before, "They are yours. You are a DayClan cat now, correct? I assumed you knew where your tunnel systems and might reveal a new exit to me. These tunnels are among the deepest in this land, so it is quite a trek to the surface from here, I was being a bit hopeful."
"This was gifted to the Regime, wasn't it? Which would make it yours, regardless of where it resides or if you've bothered to explore it." Foxbane countered with a slight tilt of her head. "And no, I make a habit of avoiding tunnels these days, for obvious reasons."
"I am a realist, not an idealist," Sapphira replied simply. She had no intentions of elaborating what she felt by that statement unless asked, but the truth was that she didn't believe this land really belonged to the Regime now. Someday DayClan would be hungry and, at the same time, grow sick of feeding their cousins living beneath their feet. The Regime was only here on borrowed time. That time may last generations or moons, but Sapphira knew it would be temporary, "Anyway, we had better pick up the pace if you'd like to be home before sun-down. Are you able to move more quickly, or are your wounds too serious?"
Foxbane would have shrugged, if not for realizing that was a bad idea the second she even slightly tried to raise her shoulder in the motion. Oh yeah, injury. "Not so bad we need to stop. I'll survive." She answered, "I'd rather not be in these tunnels a moment longer than necessary."
Sapphira chuckled when she saw Foxbane's shoulder tense slightly, "You know, that's the second time you've done that. Shrugging is a bad habit. It suggests you don't really care or are resigned... which I recognize may describe how you are feeling right now, but it's still poor etiquette. You should stand up straight with your head held eye if you want more respect."
The silver-furred she-cat fluidly moved around Foxbane to take the lead of the group since, of course, she was the only one who knew the proper way out, "Who do you think you are, lecturing a former leader on how to be authoritative?" She said, a touch of laughter in her tone, "I'm just repeating what my mother, Xuxa, taught me. I'd like to think it would make her proud."
Funny, Foxbane had almost been about to say something similar. Honestly, she hadn't even noticed it had become a habit, so someone pointing it out was a tad surprising. She had to fight the urge to shrug about it. "I'd say I'd be surprised if she wasn't, but I didn't know her, let alone well enough, to suggest that."
"She died when I was just a kit. Executed by one of your step-sons, although, as with all familiar terms among the Eeries, I guess your relation to him isn't quite that simple. You'll know him best as Duskslayer," Sapphira said without any hesitation. She was very forthright and fearless but in a demure way, a true soldier to her core, "He's living in the Regime now but I still haven't been able to stomach him for long. It's weird, isn't it? I know that Xuxa's death was well deserved, but can't forgive him for it... Yet strangely enough I find you easy to talk to, and you've most certainly committed worst crimes than him. The feline mind is full of contradictions."
"Anyway..."
Up ahead sunlight was beginning to filter in, revealing the exit. It turned out to be a bit closer than she had originally remembered, which was for good reason, as she was pretty sure she was being annoying, opening up like she was. It was just... nice to talk to a stranger. Nothing Sapphira said to Foxbane was likely to get back to her fellow soldiers and there was an unspoken solace in that.
"... I guess we're here. Would you like an escort back to camp or do you think you'd got this situation under control?"
