ROLEPLAY
Phantom sniffled lightly as he watched from underneath his late owner's bed. His Owner had died and now these people, dressed in weird clothes were taking her away on a weird object he didn't know about. He crouched under the bed, as they left the room closing the door, behind them. Phantom hesitantly climbed out of the spot and ran to the door meowing as loudly as he could. Nothing. Phantom sat on his haunches trying to think of what to do. He remembered that an older cat down the street had talked about wild cats in the forest nearby.
He thought about it for a few minutes and then tried to push the door open. It moved a smudge, but not big enough to climb through. Phantom tried two more times and decided to try and find a new way out. He ran to the window, which was also slightly open, and reached a paw out to try and put it through. He put it through slowly and held his breath as he tested it a few minutes and got the window open. He let the air out of his lungs and with his shoulders, pushed the window more.
Phantom pushed harder and more violently and soon had the window open enough to climb out onto the ledge. He tested the weight of the ledge carefully, and then, made his way out onto it. The young black cat, purred happily and made his way to the end of the ledge and jumped down to a white crossed fence and climbed his way down to the paved road. Once on the paved road, he glanced around himself and let out a deep sigh. He had no clue where to go. He didn't want to be a kitty-pet anymore, ever.
He looked and saw an opening, big enough for him to squeeze through. He raced over to it examined it, and poked his head through to see rows of houses and far behind that the towering trees, beckoning to him. Phantom nodded his head once, took a deep breath and let it out slowly as he placed each paw out of the fence and then his tail. He was almost there. He thought to himself. "Do I dare continue to the Clans, or should I just stay here?" He said to himself out loud. Another sigh and a nod. "Yes."
He confirmed himself as he made his way towards the woods. It took him a few hours to get through the two-leg place and another until he reached the edge of the woods. He sniffed the borderline and could tell that it was a cat scent marker. It was nighttime now, and the young cat was hungry and tired. He found a hollowed out tree, on the cat's territory and curled up underneath it to sleep. "I'll hunt and get something to eat when I wake up." He promised himself as he closed his eyes. A probing paw awoke him.
In her admittedly short career as a member of NightClan’s loyal guard, Violetglass had learned to expect the unexpected. Usually that meant something like being ready to fight when there was a possibility of an ambush, or not being taken surprised when a volcano exploded in SunClan, but sometimes that meant adapting to the little things too—like stumbling across a stranger on an otherwise routine patrol of the territory.
The intruder looked young, young enough that she didn’t feel the need to be outright hostile in their first encounter. “Hey,” she said, and gruffly poked at the sleeping tom with a paw. “You can’t be here, bud. This isn’t your turf.”

ROLEPLAY
The young black tom woke up with a start, his ears slightly back as he looked around him and then relaxed when he realized where he was. He blinked his eyes to clear them, and looked up at the other cats who had prodded him. Phantom rose onto his haunches and let out a yawn. As he rose his collar jangled a bit, before settling down against his chest. He looked at the other cat quietly, as he hung his head. "I have nowhere to go." He told her quietly. "My twoleg is dead, and I have no one now."
He said as he looked up at her, tears threatened to well up in his eyes. "I heard from other kitty-pets around my home, that there were wild cats in the forest. I thought long and hard before leaving the two-leg place, traveling to find these cats. I don't want to become a kitty-pet again. I want to learn to be free. To do what I want when I want too." He said to her as he rose to his full height and walked out of the tree and stretched his young muscles. "Can you help?" He asked her quietly.
"By the way, my name is Phantom. I was a two-leg witches familiar. She died recently, leaving me to find my way out of the house on my own." He explained and introduced himself to her. "I used to watch her make medicine and learn to fight!" He said with a soft purr at the memory as he sat down on his haunches, looking at her with a tilt of his head. "This crescent moon on my forehead, is a birth-mark. I guess I am blessed by the Gods." He said looking at her with a smile on his face.
Violetglass studied the young tom, looking him over with a watchful, discerning gaze. On the one paw, Aspenstar didn’t trust outsiders to the Clan, and this tom was certainly an outsider in every definition of the word. On the other hand, he was clearly on his own, and too young for Violetglass to leave him on his own in good conscience. Maybe Aspenstar will have to take one for the team this time.
“Blessed indeed, Phantom,” Violetglass said, and dipped her head. “There may be a place for you in NightClan, if you’re willing to work hard and prove yourself. If the gods are on your side as they say, I’m sure this won’t be a problem.”
