Littlestar waiting for Divinehope to join her at the ceremony spring. The High Priestess had been working to clear their once lush gardens to be suitable to grow herbs once more. The ash had been cleared away, all the herbs that could be were salvaged. Every precious seed gathered and stored in safety until the ground was ready to house them once more. At least with Valleyrose's element, they would be able to restart their herbs from what they had managed to be saved given enough time. With so many injured this took high priority. She had asked Divinehope to join her, not only to help with the toiling but to catch up. They had only seen each other in the temple for so long, but nothing could replace trued proximity. Spot
"Littlestar" Divinehope greeted as she approached her leader. She gave a respectful dip of her head before looking the leader in the eyes with curiosity. "You asked me to join you today. Is something wrong?"

"No" she replied looking up from the rather skimpy looking pile of herbs that she had managed to gather "It's just been a long time since we have gotten to speak with just the two of us" she dug at the soft earth, placing another bulb off to the side to hopefully be replanted "at least face to face" she could feel her own paws shaking slightly, exhausted from the physical exertion over the past few days trying to balance sending out border patrols, hunting patrols, cats to fetch fresh water, getting the camp organized, seeing to their herb supplies and more. At least this was familiar, a bit of mindless work to allow her to simply be at ease for a while without all the weight upon her shoulders.
"I never intended to be back here, not until the threat out there has been dealt with..." she paused "I can see it in their eyes Divinehope. They don't believe me Do you?"
If Divinehope was being honest with herself, she had her doubts about this entity. She had never actually seen this thing and therefore, was having blind faith in her leader's words. It worried her, especially the way Littlestar talked about it. Did her leader go insane? However, she couldn't allow Littlestar to see the doubt behind her eyes. Not now that she had seen it in the eyes of the others. "Of course I believe you, Littlestar." Divinehope assured, surprising herself by how convincing she sounded. "You ate a God in front of all the forest clans. Why wouldn't someone believe you?"

Littlestar watched the she-cat's face carefully as she spoke, before turning back to the soil before her. Claws ripping into the soft earth to ready it to be planted once more "Divinehope you are a terrible liar" she mewed softly without looking up from her task "You may trust in me, but you to have your doubts about what I have told you" she threw a rouge stone out of the hole she was digging, as it landed with a thud behind her "and why wouldn't you? If I hadn't been there to experience it myself I wouldn't have believed it either"
She continued to move down the row, carefully forming the next patch for planting "I wish I had more answers to give, or proof of what is to come, but I don't. All I have is the memories of what happened, and the scars it left me with. I should be out there trying to figure out how to stop it, throwing myself into research instead of running a clan" there was no anger in her voice, only a sadness that had seemed to be hanging over her since her return "and now my grandson is dead..."
Divinehope hung her head in shame when Littlestar caught her lie. Was she really that bad at lying? The calico she-cat scuffed her paw into the dirt as she listened to Littlestar speak. Only looking up when she mentioned her dead grandson. "I-Im sorry, Littlestar. I truly wish I had the answers you seek. I've tried offering up every suggestion I could think of but none seem to be the solution your looking for. I feel helpless and I feel like I am just sitting here, waiting for whatever this thing is to attack. Watching you drive yourself insane trying to keep the clan safe. You underestimate Sunclan's power. Perhaps I may underestimate this entity a bit but look what Sunclan has gone through in the past and survived. We've withstood every storm life has thrown at us. We may have bent under the fury of the wind but we never, ever broke because the spirit of the Sunclan cats cannot be broken." She moved closer to Littlestar and caught her eye. "And I think you should have more faith in Bravewolf. He could be the answer to our problems."

"Perhaps" Divinehope wasn't wrong, and yet the doubts in her mind were strong and not easily dismissed "No one expects you to have the answers that even I and the Sun God do not have" she paused looking up just as Divinehope sought to capture her eyes, lingering there for a moment "This isn't about believing or not believing in Bravewolf" one ear flickered backwards, before continuing on with her work "Bravewolf will regain his memories and powers in time, of that I have no doubt... What I question are my own choices. Past, present, and future"
The High Priestess couldn't explain it, not in a way that would make sense to anyone outside of her own mind. She wasn't the same cat that she was before, not since that day. She was never at ease, her mind constantly going to the worst case scenario in every situation. Her self-confidence shattered like fragile glass tat she couldn't quite piece back together even if it seemed whole from the outside. There was a lingering darkness that she couldn't shake, that kept her awake night after night. She would spend hours going back over every minute detail and choice that she had made, thinking about all the what ifs..
Despite this she offered Divinehope a small smile, "but all we can do is keep moving forward, and do our best to keep our clan safe"
“Then at least have more faith in your clan so that you may find some rest.” Divine hope looked at her leader with pleading eyes. “You need to keep yourself strong and take care of yourself before you wear yourself too thin.”

“All I can promise is to try...” Littlestar paused for a moment, her sides shuddering from the work she had been putting in to getting the ground ready to be planted. There wasn’t to many cats that knew how to do so, and the meaningless repetition helped ease her mind in ways that nothing else could. Even with her body tired, she felt more at ease now that her task had been completed “The moment I agreed to return here as High Priestess, it meant forfeiting the right of my autonomy. The High Proestess is meant to lead and starve, even at great cost to ones self...”
