Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Discordantmelody put one paw over the DayClan-SunClan boarder and yawned, stretching across the rest of it in a long and drawn out fashion, thus beginning her adventure into the lands of Glowstar and co. She'd been here many times before, of course. DayClan practiced open boards and was a favorite haunt of both of her parents. It just... well, it had been a long while since her last visit, which had been sometime before the whole Bloodystar arc.
I'm sure everything will be fine and if it's not, well, I've got sharp claws and fast legs, she thought to herself as she hummed a cheery tune and bee-lined it straight to the heart of DayClan territory.
Sure, Discordantmelody was fast with sharp claws, but Vixenkismet was just the same when she wanted to be. She trailed the she-cat in silence, and at the last moment, she tackled her daughter, pinning her to the ground, claws to the feline's throat. "Give me a reason I shouldn't just kill you now." Foxbane told her daughter bluntly. Honestly, it was a miracle she hadn't already killed the she-cat, perhaps Glowstar was making her soft. Regardless.
"Because I'm you favorite daughter?" Discordantmelody purred in reply, her usual bemused smile on her face. She went limp when Vixenkismet pinned her and put up no fight whatsoever, "Ha ha, I'm just kidding, I know you have a special place in your heart for Littlec-star that not even your own blood could hope to achieve. Truth is, I've come here to speak with Glowstar and hang out a little bit, that's all. I'm totally peaceful now."
The weary black-and-white tom stared at the pair as the fight began several tree-lengths ahead of him. He could just turn and walk away, go back to his journey alone, and pretend he never saw what was happening here.
Sighing, he picked up his pace to join them. "I can't believe you would kill a kit who isn't even mine," Deal mewed accusingly. He had planned on saying it like a joke, he really did, but he was nervous and it didn't really sound that way. Great, now Vixenkismet is going to kill me instead of her. ". . . . She's not one of mine, right?"
The pinned she-cat had called herself Vixenkismet's daughter, so unless she was lying, this probably wasn't one of his.

Vixenkismet was surprised Deal actually approached her, enough that she leaned back slightly on her haunches. Mumbling something under her breath to the effect of "Damn it Glow, did you send him over to test my resolve or something? Stupid redemption arcs." Though Discordantmelody and Deal probably wouldn't have been able to properly understand her soft grumblings about her daughter and ex being in the same place. Also, she wasn't entirely convinced this was something her mate would actually set up, which meant it was likely coincidence, which was almost worse.
"Contrary to what you might think, you're no longer especially important to me." Foxbane answered bluntly, turning her head ever so slightly to look at him. She'd changed, that much was clear by the present annoyance in her gaze, replacing her general terrifyingly calm nature. "She's not yours, she's Funk's. Why should you care? Your kit or not, what's one more on the list of the dead by my paws. This one actually deserves it." Of course, Glowstar would probably be disappointed if she killed Discordantmelody on DayClan land, which was probably the only reason Vixenkismet chose to let the she-cat up without killing her. "Thank Glowstar for your life, Discordant, I can't have her being disappointed in me quite yet."
He wouldn't be here if he thought she still wanted him dead. He wouldn't have come back to the clan if his life was at risk, but she had taken out her anger on him, and she had moved on. When she told him she was done, she was redeeming herself, he had his doubts; after all, she kidnapped him to tell him that, and she had lied to him before. And she was here, threatening to kill one of her own children, so he wasn't exactly wrong about her . . . but she did seem to have moved on from him. He took some small comfort in that.
"Well then, don't let me get in your way," Deal said with a half-hearted smile. Look, he probably wouldn't have left while the she-cat was still in danger, regardless of her crime, but the moment had clearly passed. That was his sign to get out of here. "I'll be going."

"An ex tyrant, her traitor daughter, and her ex all walk into DayClan." Foxbane shook her head. "Not gonna stick around with our group sounding like the start of a bad joke?" The fox furred warrior tilted her head back to just stare at the sky. "You've already ruined my murderous rage, so may as well stick around to ensure it doesn't come back. And if it does, I'm sure you'll be the first to realize." She smiled at that one, leaving Deal to decide if he'd actually notice her anger, or if he'd realize it when he was on the ground with his throat torn open again.
"My knight in shining armor must be Deal, then. Sorry to meet you under such strange circumstances, but I'm sure you understand given who my mother is," Discordantmelody had been laying on the ground comfortably this whole time, just listening to the former leaders talk back and forth at one another. She always loved to observe others and for once she had a front row seat, "Anyway mom, listen, if you can get a redemption arc, I'm certainly owed one, too. I didn't even brutally kill anyone! All I want to do is share some words with Glowstar and catch up with everyone. Oh yeah, is Funk around?"
Deal eyed her, unconvinced he should stay. This never ended well for him.
"Yeah, that's me." He grinned as he looked back at the she-cat, acting on reflex before he caught himself and let it slip away. Deal had learned his lesson about flirting with cats related to cats he once knew intimately. He wasn't flirting, but he was pretty sure Vixenkismet would interpret him even looking at another she-cat as flirting, so best not. He wasn't getting into the middle of that again.
"You know," he glanced back at Foxbane, "she would have a point, if you were actually redeemed, anyway."
"Whose lovely voices am I hearing?" Glowstar gushed in a song voice.
For just a moment she held her signature assassin smirk. The one with a quirked up side of her lip, fangs flashing innocently. One of the rare moments where her retired side subsided, as though her glee and blood lust were sometimes one in the same. But the moment was gone as soon as it came. Instead she raced closer into view from the field lands smushing into her mates side, "It's my hot wife!" She snickered to Vixenkismet, letting out a relaxed sigh. Likely treasuring this moment of her mate and friend standing in the same spot without any fighting, "Just like old times, minus the execution, isn't it. Oh and there's also Discordant, always a treat."

"You just barely missed this becoming an execution. In a rare turn of events, Deal made me less angry than more." Vixenkismet answered honestly, though she couldn't help the smile on her face as Glowstar crashed into her, head turning to rub gently against her shoulder with a purr. "We could make it an execution if you'd like, but I have a feeling you wouldn't let me kill either of our present company, so we'd have to find someone new."
Discordantmelody frowned for just a second when Glowstar arrived. She'd had a few other boxes to check before she had wanted the DayClan leader to make an appearance but, alas, she'd relied a little too much on chance. Nothing she couldn't roll with, though. Her split-second frown returned back into a half-smile and she purred, "Pleasure to see you as always, mom. I hope things have been well for you in DayClan now that things are finally starting to return back to normal... whatever that is!"
Vixenkismet now unbalanced by her mate, Discordantmelody found it easy to pull away and get back to her feet with a yawn and a stretch, "Anyways, you're exactly who I came to see, but the weather's so nice, we should have some fun before we talk business! How about a quick double date?"
Post by Honeystorm on May 11, 2021 21:33:37 GMT -5
"You have a date?" Vixenkismet asked, eyeing Discordantmelody as if she almost couldn't believe such a thing. Then again, the she-cat was her daughter, and Funk's. So maybe that was the allure.
"Sure, there's four cats here and one of them is already a couple, so I guess that means it's me and Deal! It's just a harmless date, but I guess you don't have to call it that if it bothers you though," Discordantmelody purred, her indigo eyes shining bright with mischief that was so like her mother's it was almost like looking in a mirror. She turned her attention back to the DayClan leader, "What's your favorite place to relax in DayClan, Glowstar?"

Foxbane almost choked in surprise, but instead just blinked a few times. Maybe she wasn't one to talk, given her own actions. Also, this was probably best to just leave. Let Deal sort it out. Which, honestly, was probably the more amusing option anyway, and her ivy eyes turned towards him to see his reaction.
Deal blinked as Glowstar arrived, his first instincts rallying him to go. Running into his exes was always awkward, but he had to remind himself he was being stupid this time. This was Glowstar, not some fling, and he refused to give up on their friendship so easily, not when she had fought to fix him after his last curse. "Hey," he murmured to her, pricking his ears and offered her a warm smile.
Foxbane almost choked when Discordantmelody spoke, but Deal actually did. He took a step back as he coughed and shook his head. "I really do need to get going," he meowed apologetically, sliding another step away and shooting Vixenkismet a sideways I swear I'm not flirting with your daughter look. "You three have fun."
"Really?" Discordantmelody's indigo eyes widened like a kit who had just been scolded and her eyes pinned to the back of her head. It was a look of utter disappointment and strangely convincing, "That'll just make me the third wheel... I guess we just won't do it then..."
"Won't do what?" Glowstar asked, tilting her head to the side.
Discordantmelody was always peppy, cute, and of course manipulative so everything she did was either for fun, for a plan, or a combination of both. But now discord was about to leave her heavenly garden, which was a shame. DayClan was always set to a clear blue sky, summer breezes even in the spring and soothing sounds, but to Glowstar everyday may as well be a rainy day. Nothing exciting happened in DayClan, chaos was like an invasive species when it did approach, it wasn't native to the lands. As such Glowstar could never allow mayhem to leak into the lands... For long. But maybe a short while, a visit, a trip from Discord. That could be acceptable.
"Why did you come here, dear daughter," Glowstar pressed, her graceful smile teetering at the corner of her lips, close to edging into a wildfire of a grin, but restrained just enough.
"A double date, but I've given up on it already. There's no point in getting hung up on missed opportunities. You just gotta focus the ones coming in the future... which leads me to the answer to your question, Glowstar," Discordantmelody purred, a smile back on her face. She recovered from disappointment awfully quickly, "I actually came here on business. SunClan has a new rank, Rays, who are specially chosen to live in other Clans and spread the Word. I came to DayClan to ask if I could be one of them here. There's not much to it, it just mans I can hang out more with permission!"
The calico she-cat brushed her cheek against Glowstar's suddenly then gave her a real big hug, "Isn't that great!? SunClan used to be so stingy about letting its cats live in other Clans, but now we can have sleepovers all the time! I can't wait to spend more time together with my moms!"
"Oh wow, what a clever way for Littlestar to convince other clans to feed her warriors and remove all the unruly cats by calling it a vacation," Glowstar remarked as Discordantmelody pulled her into a hug. "Discord, you're welcome to join DayClan, but joining means being loyal to DayClan first and not spreading your religion around. If you're not willing to do that then you can remain a visitor, but Rays are not permitted to be members. Also we've always allowed sleepovers in DayClan, you can still do that as a visitor."
