Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
They were starting to drive her absolutely mad, the memories that she could not place. She'd only seen them in glimpses, foggy images of a life she had no familiarity with. She didn't know what to do with them, these memories of a place that didn't exist. The monarchy that she searched for, though, had dissolved completely. It had been her only hope to find answers, and when she finally found the territory that had once been home, it was gone. It had hurt her deeply to learn this, as if a part of her very soul was mourning for a group that she had never been a part of, or at least, she didn't think she was a part of. After finding the Monarchy abandoned, the flame-colored she-cat had been completely at a loss. Her quest to find herself seemed to stall, even though the memories didn't. She craved to understand them, to be able to place them. It seemed out of the cards for her, though.
She had almost accepted her defeat, accepted that she would be plagued by a constant sense of longing, when she found herself standing at the edge of DayClan territory. As she looked onto the fields, she realized that she recognized the place. Although she had never been there herself, it seemed so familiar.... Why did it seem so familiar?
in true ian can't get over their dead cats fashion, welcome back kerrigan, altho reincarnated kerrigan c:
( I can't get over your dead cats either. I would do the same, I just never kill off my chars, LOL. )
Defiledblood wasn't supposed to interact with anyone under a warrior's age. Formerly known as Lakeveil, the ex-Vrachii had basically destroyed much of what remained of BrookClan by poisoning them, and they never did recover. Funny enough, she was also one of the only cats to still follow the Old Ones and her former clan's gods. But no one really cared about a poisoner who nearly got killed by the DayClan leader's daughter for being caught abusing her daughter She had new kits now, of course, with the clan's medicine cat, Brakewings. But of course, she wasn't allowed to raise them. At least, not when Glowstar was around. Funny how times changed, a cat she'd betrayed her clan for treated her like the lowest of the low.
But she wasn't so bitter about it, except perhaps directly towards Wanderingwight, and naturally, Spring. The latter moreso.
In her own thoughts, she didn't think anything of the cat nearing her in the corner of her eye. Well, until the Forsaken turned and spotted the spitting image of a cat she knew to be dead. Which, of course, wasn't inherently surprising. She'd been Vrachii, and once given the ability to communicate with the dead, that power didn't go away. So it wasn't so much a shock to see the she-cat, simply thinking the dead Tsar had finally come around for a visit. "Come to visit DayClan, Kerrigan? Any messages you're gonna ask me to pass along? I assume so, since I haven't seen your spirit here before."
The voice stopped Kerr in her tracks, her fur bristling. It was so familiar... Why was it so familiar? A memory split through the forefront of her mind. It was hazy, but she could distinctly remember standing in front of this cat before....
"Spirit?" she asked, her eyebrow raising slightly. "How do you..." There were may questions that she had. How did this cat know her name? What did she mean spirit? "I... think you must be mistaken. Clearly you think that I'm someone I'm.... not." She stepped back from the other cat, her hazel gaze narrowing slightly. At least, she supposed, she wasn't the only crazy cat around these parts.
this response is kinda bad i'm trying to get back into the swing of her

"I know I've done a lot you'd probably consider horrifying, but considering I'm one of the only here who still follows the old ones, let alone can see you, you think you wouldn't pretend to not know me. How's my grandmother doing, by the way? I'm sure she's rather... disappointed in me, considering her fate." Lakeveil tilted her head to the side as she watched Kerrigan with some curiosity. Did Nivet strip her memories or something? Seemed strange to do to a spirit.
Kerrigan shifted uncomfortably. The Old Ones... Her eyes instinctively shut. She remembered that title.... Things were so close ....... I am with you, my child, a voice within her called. It was familiar, so familiar.... Later, she would learn that this was the voice of Nivet, the equalibrium. Even though the days in which the Old Ones wandered the BrookClan skies was long over, they did not forget their children. In fact, perhaps this was part of their plan.
She cleared her voice, her ear flicking. "I hate to inform you, but I am quite confident that other felines can see me," she meowed, her tone rather flat. "Paradise could see me, at least. I suppose that means I am not a vivid hallucination." Kerrigan had no idea that the other cat would recognize the name of her mother (mother-daughter?). "I don't even know your name, let alone your grandmother's name. Maybe I better get out of here. Clearly there is something in the air."

Defiledblood stared at Kerrigan for a few moments longer, considering. Then she took a few paces forward, booping Kerrigan right on the nose without warning, really scrutinizing the feline. She was right, no signs of being a spirit. Not any of the ethereal whispers clinging to her pelt like that of StarClan, Dark Forest, and the like's afterlife beings. But the she-cat still seemed to have answered to the name Kerrigan, she'd seemes shocked Lakeveil would know it. A sort of knowing smile crossed the she-cat's expression, one certain to perplex this new Kerrigan.
"You wouldn't happen to be Paradise's daughter, would you, then? It's been long since I've heard the name of any of Kerrigan's children, I thought Paradise would have been long dead or far away by now." Since the gray-blue feline seemed to know something the other she-cat didn't, her demeanor had changed slightly, and her mossy green eyes appear to flicker with... amusement? "My name's Lakeveil, that was my BrookClan name, anyhow. I am a former Vrachii and Dvorayne of the clan, I knew Paradise and her mother, Tsar Kerrigan. And I'm sorry, you're not going anywhere. If you're Tsar Kerrigan's granddaughter, well, there's quite a lot of cats here in DayClan who are going to want to meet you. Come along. I assume you share Kerrigan's name, then? You seemed surprised that I called you it." She didn't exactly wait for Kerrigan to refuse. Rather, Defiledblood began herding the feline towards camp.
"Hey, what the hell?" she asked when she was booped, her whiskers twitching indignantly. "You didn't have to do that." Her jaw clenched and unclenched slightly, annoyance displacing the anxiety that she had once felt. If this was how DayClan was going to be, she probably should leave, right?
She then raised her brow. "Yes, that would be my mother. She wasn't dead the last time I checked, however I suppose it isn't impossible that she's since kicked the bucket. She was good at keeping information from me, apparently. She never mentioned a Lakeveil, or even.... even BrookClan." BrookClan. BrookClan. There was something right about the way the word felt in her mouth. It felt right. "My grandmother was popular here?" she then asked, her eyes slightly intrigued. Paradise hadn't told her much about her grandmother, which was probably at the core of 98% of Kerrigan's issues, but she had said that her grandmother had been a powerful cat. Was that why they knew her here? "Yes, I share a name," she then meowed, "although Kerrigan has always felt like shoes I will never fill. Most call me Kerr." She shifted to follow the other cat, supposing that she didn't have much of a choice it seemed. "I didn't realize she was known out of the family, is all. And it was a little jolting to be called my name by a cat I didn't know," she then meowed with a flick of her tail as the two padded to the DayClan camp.
"Popular with some, mostly Glowstar. Your grandmother did help enslave DayClan once, so there are a few who might hold... a grudge, but that's fairly unlikely. There's a few others Kerrigan ran with here, originally from other clans, such as myself. As for BrookClan, well, Kerrigan was the Tsar, as I stated. She lead the group, and her family was royalty. My relatives were royal as well, though we were lesser nobility, a separate family from Kerrigan's. Your house name is Harlow is Paradise didn't make you aware of that either. My mother served as Kerrigan's Vrachii, what most clans would call a medicine cat, and I succeeded my mother in that role, though that was shortly after Kerrigan's reign ended. DayClan will tell you my name is Defiledblood, but when they're not looking, feel free to call me by my actual name, Lakeveil." The forsaken winked as though all of this were some special secret. She enjoyed seeing Kerr's reactions as she talked about BrookClan. It wasn't often Lakeveil spoke of it either, most didn't care about a dead clan's ways or lines.
Time seemed to have flown by when they suddenly arrived at DayClan camp, and Defiledblood rather unceremoniously pushed the feline in, a smile playing at her lips. "I have a feeling we might end up separated soon, but you can always ask for me if you need something or have a question should that happen."
Burningsummer was enjoying a squirrel, belly swollen with Nightshadeintuitions kits. She hadn't left DayClan yet, finding it a comfortable home for the time being.
She frowned as Defiledblood entered and then her eyes widened as for a moment she thought she was seeing a ghost.
It had been many, many moons since she'd laid eyes upon Tsar Kerrigan, aside from finding her corpse in the aftermath of the terrible earthquake that had hit NightClan. Both she, Glowstar and Foxstar had mourned the loss of their fellow pride member. For the remaining meetings they had set down a red flower crown in her place, to remember and honor her.
She blinked rapidly, then rubbed at her eyes with her paw. She must be seeing things. The kits must be closer and closer to due and it was making her nostalgic for her old fellow pride member.
Glowstar strode up next to Burningsummer when she saw Defiledblood coming into sight with another cat. "Defiledblood if this is a test experiment, new sacrifice, a henchmen of sorts, maybe an assassin for hire, or a wary traveler you've told that they're the chosen one to brainwash them into doing your bidding then I don't know if I want DayClan a part of this. I mean, you could probably do it in SunClan if you really want to, I don't think they mind, but I just don't know if I'm feeling it today... Y'know what though, maybe in like four hours, I think this warm weathers just putting me to sleep instead of in an adventurous mood," She shrugged before her aquamarine eyes really focused on the cat.
"Holy stars, you look like Kerrigan, wait are you? Because I have this thing where I think someone died and then they didn't really die so usually I wait a year before believing it," Glowstar explained, but was already looking the new cat up and down, like she was on edge about believing or not believing in the cat existing in front of her.

Defiledblood laughed at Glowstar's suggestion, and then the realization of who this cat resembled. "Yes, she's Kerrigan. Well, Kerrigan's grandaughter by the same name. Evidently she prefers Kerr." As if it was her cue to leave, she pushed Kerr forward to meet the pair and stepped off to the side with a wink. "Like I said, Kerr, find me if you need me or have questions. I'm sure you'll have fun here."
Vixenkismet had been lounging beside Burningsummer when the Kerrigan doppelganger appeared. And Defiledblood conveniently disappeared moments later after her little explanation, which in some ways, only brought up more questions... Foxbane blinked slightly. "Well, at the very least, we're either all hallucinating, or this is very much Kerrigan, a descendant anyway, if we're trusting Defiledblood's word."
"... Interesting," she meowed as Defiledblood explained the whole enslaving DayClan thing. Those were stories her mother had failed to tell her. She listened on to her history in silence, her head tilting. So many things that she didn't know, but it was almost as if she suddenly remembered with every passing word. She hung on Lakeveil's words like honey, a part of her finally feeling as if it made sense.
She wasn't sure what unsettled her more, the fact that the one cat looked like she'd seen a ghost and was about to faint or the fact that the other's voice clicked into focus. Instinctively, the she-cat's head moved so that her gaze settled on the leader. "Glowstar," she found herself saying, although she wasn't exactly sure how she knew the DayClan leader. Some things, though, didn't change, even across lives. One of those things was the natural moth to a flame thing she had for the leader in her past life. The voice sent a chill down her spine, and an overwhelming rush of memories pushed across her face. Friendship, betrayal, the only moment Kerrigan had ever cried, the memories flashed by her fast enough that it almost made her dizzy. She clenched her teeth, desperately trying to focus on what she was actually saying, and not just the fact she knew that voice.
"You have a .... what ?" she asked, her voice incredulous. She then heard the voice of the other, and instinctively, her body tensed. She knew that voice, too, and she knew that it meant trouble. In her former existence, Foxstar had been the member of the Pride that she had always been acutely nervouse of, despite the fact that they had worked together closely to take over half of the forest. She glanced across the three felines, and a part of her knew, knew that somehow, she'd been in the exact same position before, looking at the trio of powerful flame colored cats.
"La-," she caught herself before she finished the word, remembering that the feline had told her only to refer to her as such outside the eye of the clan. "Defiledblood," what a horrible name, and how sad it was that Kerr really was blissfully unaware that the former Vrachii had been pretty much the single cause of BrookClan's demise. "Defiledblood is correct. I am the granddaughter of Kerrigan." Her voice was uneasy, a little shaky. "Why are you all so familiar? I... don't understand," she admitted, her gaze narrowed in a mix of frustration and confusion.

Vixenkismet watched this Kerrigan closely, noticed the she-cat immediately appear to recoil slightly upon hearing the ex-Priestess' voice. Like she knew the feline was dangerous without having even met her before. Interesting. "That is a good question. Perhaps it is because we knew your grandmother. My name is Vixenkismet here in DayClan, though you'll hear others call me Foxbane. I'm one of Glowstar's mates." The fox-furred feline seemed to be studying the she-cat intensely, ivy eyes noting each and every move the other made, not unlike a scientist studying a particularly interesting rat. "You've traveled far, I presume? How about you eat something while you settle in. I feel like we'd all do well to have a full belly while we discuss."
Generally, Foxbane was not the one you should take offers of prey from, but the she-cat didn't exactly seem intent on letting Kerrigan get away with a no, as she stood and briefly stepped away to go grab them all something to eat. This would likely be a long conversation one way or other, so with Burningsummer already eating, they may as well all sate their hunger.
Foxbane. Yes, that was all too familiar to her, although she couldn't exactly place why. She offered a silent nod as the feline continued spoke, before blinking twice. The part of her that was hesitant told her not to accept, but the other part of her really was hungry and tired. What could a little rest do except help ? And maybe, she'd get some answers...
"I would appreciate that," she meowed with a nod, glancing at Glowstar once. "As long as that is okay, of course. I wouldn't want to trouble you..." Maybe that was a sign that although Grandma Kerrigan was in there somewhere, not all of her ancestor was present in her mind. After all, if Kerrigan was, Kerr would know that DayClan was accomodating to just about everyone.
"I mean, I guess if we let Defiledblood in we can let anyone in," Glowstar said passively, before a wide smirk exploded to the tips of her lips as she nudged Defiledblood, "I'm joking," She snickered before adding quickly, "It's just kit beaters we have no tolerance for, you're fine Kerr," She said.
"I guess I'm coming too since you basically just told me to eat," Glowstar teased Foxbane as she moved over to her side, her tail playfully batting into Foxbane's in a pretend shove gesture.
