Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
It was the first time that they'd been together since they were promoted. Since they began training, it had become harder and harder to get all five of them off at the same time. But, for once, everything lined up, and the quintet had the entire afternoon to enjoy on their own time. Of course, that meant that they would inevitably get into some sort of trouble, but that was to be expected of the group. Maybe that was why they didn't get much time together these days. The entire clan was trying to protect itself from impending doom.
Jaypaw had been the first to arrive at the secret meeting place. They had found it when they were kittens. Garnetpaw and Flamepaw, both -kit at the time, had convinced the group to sneak out, and they had found the area by complete accident. It had become their spot, though. A place that only they knew. Jaypaw shifted her weight slightly. She had anticipated that she would have to wait for the others; it wasn't uncommon for the work-focused she-cat to be the most timely. She wouldn't have to wait long, though, as soon, the next apprentice approached.
woofHoneystormseeker when lace gets an rper they can just jump in LOL and if she doesn't maybe it can be a plot point where they're all like ????? where is she ??????
Honestly, it was an utter shock Garnetpaw showed up relatively on time. The she-cat skipped into their place, and blinked in surprise when Jaypaw was the only one there. "I'm ON TIME?" The ginger and white feline asked in disbelief, sitting down slightly and glancing at her paws like she dind't know who she was anymore. "This can't be right. Is this some kinda nightmare, Jaypaw? Or did you get an element that suddenly makes your friends on time. And if that's the case, that is so, so cruel of you. Why would you burden me like this?"
Flamepaw slipped in next, his bright red fur standing on end. “Swear to starclan, I almost got caught coming in.” He glanced back, hoping no one actually saw him. “This fur makes life hell.” He mutters. Quickly, his mood changes as he sees his friends. “Ah, there’s a crowd. I guess I have to leave now.” He jokes, settling next to Garnetpaw. His partner in trouble making. “I feel like it’s been a million moons since I saw your ugly faces.” The tom lays down and flips on his back, belly up, stretching out.
Jaypaw looked incredulously at the other cat. "I must have, I've never seen you get somewhere less than twenty minutes after we agree," she teased, her whiskers twitching in amusement. "Maybe I just wore off on you. Your ma always said she hoped one day I would." She offered her friend a playful swat, before turning to the next cat that joined them.
"Flamepaw," she greeted. "Yeah, right. You leave and we follow," she promised him, her eyes sparkling slightly. "And hey, watch yourself. Last I checked, every animal within a thirty mile radius thinks you're ugly enough to stay away from." It was a jab at his coloration making it hard to blend in when they weren't in the rich wheat fields. Not that she was much better; her own golden fur was practically the same amount of obvious. "It's good to see ya, though. Either of you seen the others this afternoon?'
Flamepaw releases another jovial laugh, prodding at Jaypaw from his belly-up position. His paw landed against her leg, but it was enough to make his point clear. "Hmmm, you're not so handsome yourself," he teases, catching on to the joke about his pelt color. Eventually, he turns back onto his belly and sits up right, his tailtip twitching. "I haven't seen anyone else. I'm never early either, so they're all realllly late."
That wasn't exactly true. Flamepaw was either right on time or a little late. He wasn't a 'crash the party' sort of late, but not a 'fifteen minutes early is on time' kinda person either. "Should we look for them, or wait here?" his eyes flicker towards the entrance, and he listens for any sound they might cause. "C'monnnn girlies."
