Ripplewish had been tasked with gathering the food for her family's little reunion. She had chosen a spot near the new Swiftclan camp but far away from others so her family could be their loud obnoxious selves. Small piles of mice and birds sat under a bare looking tree. She walked towards it carrying a fish. She spat the fish out on the ground next to the other two piles. She hated the taste of fish and was vigorously licking the back of her paw to get rid of the fishy taste in her mouth. Her stomach growled and she looked annoyed that she had to be there. She hoped her family members would show up soon so she could eat and then make a break for it while they were distracted.
Breezestep had been waiting all day, and she couldn't wait even a bit longer. As soon as Ripplewish returned with the fish, she darted to her side and glanced up and down her daughter, glowing with admiration. "That's a great catch, Ripplewish!" she chirped. Stepping forward, she nuzzled her era affectionately and murmured, "I'm so glad to have you home again." It had been so long since she had seen all of her children here, together; now everyone was back in her life except for her most errant son. @turtlenoir
"Right this way," Ghostcrown persuaded as he let Spiritlake and Desertwind toward the picnic. "I know this isn't the type of event you enjoy, so you don't have to stay long. Just had something to eat before you head out, okay?" The black tom smiled at them hopefully. He was trying his best to bond with his family, but his son was particularly hard to understand, despite his best efforts. He would never stop trying, though. racerJadie
Grumpypaw sat firmly two tree-lengths from the meeting place, absolutely refusing to be the first to step foot here, he had no desire to hang out with Firetooth's stupid family.

Jetfire tugged at Firetooth, her tail wrapped around his with their kits bouncing around their paws on the way to the picnic “Come on slow poke” she teased, trying to get him to go faster, “If we don’t hurry your brother will have eaten all the food, before the kits even get a taste” she didn’t really care all that much about the food to be honest, but after being confined for so long after having her kits she longed to stretch her legs and feel the wind in her fur once more. How long had it been since she had just got to enjoy a simple run? Her eyes were bright, with an unmistakable skip in her step. It was going to take her a long time to fully recover, but the worst dangers had passed. Her wound was almost completely sealed, this time without a hint of infection. She was gaining weight, her bones not protruding the way they had for moons, and even pelt was regaining it’s shine. Now Firetooth was faced with the monumental task of reigning her in, so that she didn’t hurt herself by overdoing it. She wiggled impatiently at his side, knowing that he was only going slow to keep her from taking off GidgetGal
Sunkit ran ahead of his siblings stopping at each and every flower to smell, but racing ahead of them once more and giving them time to catch up “Yeah come on sloooooow poke” he echoed his mother with a big goody grin
Secretpaw jumped onto his brother’s tail, pinning it to the ground “Come on Grumpypaw, it’s mom’s first time out of camp in a while. You know she will want to see you, besides maybe we could spar and show her how much we have learned so far? I promise I won’t be a sore loser” unlike a lot of other cats, Secretpaw didn’t see his brother’s eyes as a disability, in fact he paid them no attention Cleaver
Firetooth gave his mate a small, fond smile, but it was obvious he was dragging his paws. Not just to keep his mate from overworking herself, but because he was having his own doubts about even showing up. Going on a picnic with just Breezestep and Ghostcrown was one thing - that event he might've actually enjoyed - but the Medicine Cat was unable to subdue the anxiety bubbling in his chest at the idea of sitting down with his biological sisters for the first time in seasons, if not years. He wasn't even sure if he knew how to have sisters again; Starclan knows the three of them had treated each other more like strangers throughout their lives in Earthclan, to their parent's ever-present disappointment. But Jetfire and the kits had been looking forward to it so much, he knew he had to place his own awkwardness aside for their sake. When Sunkit bounded up to them with his playful mocking, the tom grinned mischievously. "Oh, you want to go faster, do you? Alright then!" In one swift motion, the Medicine Cat leaned down and swooped up the vibrant orange kit by his scruff, trotting ahead of the family at a quicker pace. He glanced over his shoulder at Jetfire with a playful gleam in his eyes, knowing she was itching to get moving as well. They were almost there anyways, a little exercise wouldn't hurt.
"Aww, no fair!" Mountainkit exclaimed with a laugh, immediately scrambling after his father and brother. "I wanna get carried too!" He turned back to his mother with big, pleading blue-gray eyes. "Can you carry me too, momma? I bet I could see everyone already at the picnic from so up high!" racer

Desertwind had already gotten sidetracked on the way to the picnic, sticking his head into the roots of the trees to investigate some of the mushrooms that were growing there. His rump wiggled back and forth, only realizing that his father and sister were ahead of him now when his dad talked about getting food "but I could just eat in camp, no need to go trekking all the way out here" he blinked, pointing out a very obvious flaw in his mind. He slowly pulling out of the tangle of roots, not really understanding the point of this picnic. He enjoyed eating a meal with his dad as much as the next cat, but why would he want to make a special trip to eat? This wasn't were the clan ate, and if they wanted to eat out here all the time then shouldn't the fresh kill pile be out here? It wasn't the first time his family had done some sort of nonsense like this "beside I have Butterkit now and this a long walk for her"Tigerclover
Jetfire leaned in giving her mate a swift lick behind his ears "Don't worry so much, if me and Indigopastels could reconnect so can you and your sisters" but by then he was already scooping up Sunkit who was squealing with delight and Mountainkit was at her paws "Alright, how about we race your father? Hmmm? Littlekit, Jetkit, Tranquilkit, lets see how fast you can go! First one there gets to pick their food first" Jetfire giggled, as she bent down to lift up Mountainkit by the scruff and picked up the pace, making sure to keep the other three kits ahead of her so that they wouldn't get left behind GidgetGalJadiestardance

Butterkit was a bit nervous because she was with a bunch of cats now but also excited that there was lots more to explore. She was stuck close to Desertwind as they went along wondering why they had gone such a long way to get to this new place and then go even longer just to eat food. Butterkit had shimmied her way into the side of a tree root hole and popped her tiny head out right in front of Desertwind sticking her tiny pink tongue out at him as sort of a silent boo since she still hadn't started talking yet. A grin crossed her face from ear to ear. HA, I got you papa!! she said internally She was happy to have herself a papa that was just as curious as she was and so much fun to be around. Her tiny legs were getting tired and her paws were starting to hurt from so much walking but she was determined not to let anyone see, but if you looked close enough in her eyes you could see how exhausted she was. After all, she really hadn't stopped exploring for very long. She had been wandering around for a long while before she got stuck in the bush where Desertwind had found her. racer
Ripplewish purred affectionately when she saw her mother Breezestep. It had been seasons since her mother left Sunclan. Seasons when Tidaldream refused to leave the clan she had grown comfortable in. Home such a strange word to hear again. She had grown accustom to seeing Sunclan as home, but after the volcano disaster she had turned tail and ran away. She recognized Ghostcrown and his children who looked all grown up. Traitor she thought for a moment when they approached. Her muscles tensed up, but she told herself to keep cool. When apprentices and a bunch of kittens running around approached she looked surprised. Who's are they? she wondered looking at all the adult cats then briefly glanced at her mother wondering if she had new surprised step siblings or half siblings that she wasn't told about. Then approached from a distance she saw her brother Firetooth. It was for the first time in years. It felt like the wind was kicked out of her lungs and she let out a small gasp. He looked much older and something about him reminded her of their father Creekghost. The memory of Creekghost was painful. It was then her brain short circuited as she noticed he was walking side by side with a she-cat who was also a Sunclan traitor. She felt her eyes narrow ever so slightly. There were also kittens at their paws.
Firetooth grinned as much as he could while carrying Sunkit by the scruff while he trotted ahead, his smile only growing wider when he heard Mountainkit's excited squealing as Jetfire picked him off and began chasing after them. The tom wasn't sure if he could possibly be any happier than he was right now; simply having fun with his mate and kits like a proper family. Just for a moment he could forget about who he was and what his responsibilities were, and just have a peaceful day out. But then he rounded the next hill, and he saw the picnic, and he saw Ripplewish. The Medicine Cat's slowed down into a stop, his eyes wide as he took in the first sight of his sister for the first time in Starclan-knows-how-long. Not taking his eyes off of her, he gently set down Sunkit. "Looks like we won," he meowed to his son. "Go grab some lunch for you and your siblings, okay?" Once the kit eagerly ran off, he cautiously approached the she-cat, his expression effortlessly switching into something neutral and unreadable. "Ripplewish...you're looking well." @turtlenoir

(Sorry for the wait in reply on my side, but I'm here now XD)
Echo too came slowly to the gathering, both a bit uncertain and nervous. Everyone was going to be around and now her sister was back. Truthfully she was excited to see her but...Echo had changed so much. Would her sister want to talk to her or want to even get to know her? As it was her and Firetooth were still awkward around one another, but she did like his mate. Her mother and Ghostcrown had accepted her straight away and for that she was both grateful and ashamed. Ashamed that she probably put them through some pain having left them behind and worry about her. She needed to be away to become a better cat and sister/ daughter to her loved ones. She was determined to be a better cat to not just everyone but herself. So she was pushing herself to do things that made her uncomfortable. That's how change works baby. She walked up to the camp and over to her mother whom she was comfortable being around and nodded to her sister, a small shy smile on her face. "I'm glad to see you again Ripplewish." @turtlenoir

Desertwind eyes widened when Butterkit popped out from under the roots, but his response was soon replaced by a big grin as he swooped the little kit up onto his shoulders "See Butterkit agrees that this is all just nonsense. We are going home now" he turned, trying to slip away before his father took to much notice of his absence and tried to rope him into staying again "I know, kits like naps. I'll put you down for a nap!!! I heard that the sound of water can help put kits to sleep... or telling them stories, I got lots of good stories" TigercloverCleaver

Sunkit squeaked "You got it poppa!!" as he raced off towards the crazy amount of food that had been set out for them. The eager little kit looked between them trying to figure out what to eat first, but what he really wanted to do was to take a bite out of everything so that he could try it all! He looked up at Ripplewish with admiration in his gaze "Did you catch all of this yourself? You must be a good hunter!! Poppa tries, but he couldn't catch a mouse if it wondered right into his paws" GidgetGal @turtlenoir
Jetfire set down Mountainkit "I guess I just wasn't fast enough this time" she purred, panting after their short run. It was the first time she had been able to stretch out her legs in so long "go ahead and get something to fill that grumbling tummy of yours, it looks like you all will have a lot to choose from" She took a moment to count all of their kits to make sure that they were there, before looking up at Firetooths two sisters who had already gathered. She could tell Firetooth was tense, so she hovered nearby letting her tail gently brush against his side so that he knew she was there for him him

Butterkit smiled as she was whisked up to her new papa's shoulders and nodded with a small yawn and held on tight as he spoke of a nap and stories even though he couldn't see her nod at this point. I wonder what kind of stories papa is talking about. she wonders to herself as they continue to their destination. racer
Grumpypaw's head whipped around to glare at his brother through squinted eyes. "I know," he growled unhappily, his tail fighting free to lash back and forth. He had no choice but to attend, for his mother, even he didn't want to be here. t would only be worse if he didn't show up, but he knew it was going to be a miserable day. "Fine. But you don't have to fight me," he added sulkily, puffing up his neck fur. "I don't need your pity." Secretpaw was the only one who tolerated him, and he knew the ugly truth why.
Ghostcrown was working his hardest to be understanding, but he really wanted his son to stay. "Why don't you give Butterkit a little rest before you head back? It has been a long walk," he reasoned. "Sit down for a little, have something to eat, and then you can head back. You're right, this isn't where we usually eat, but I thought it would be a nice change of pace."
Butterkit's ears twitched as she heard Ghostcrown's words. She stayed snuggled into Desertwind's pelt holding on tight wondering what her papa would do now that they were spotted and spoken to.

Sparrowpaw giggled and brushed up against her brother. "Relax, Grumpypaw." She purred, chipper as always. "I'm sure it's going to be fun, just you wait."
The metallic pelted apprentice had been so excited when she heard about this event. After all, it was a family event, and she was more than curious to meet the other members of her father's family. Sparrowpaw had even stocked up on her bone marrow just to make sure her low blood sugar didn't act up. But she didn't want to leave her littermates by themselves.
"I wonder who that one she-cat is. The one that dad's talking to." Sparrowpaw chirped as she sat down. "Jeez... they don't seem to like each other very much do they?" racerCleaver

Secretpaw huffed "I'm the one you should be pittying, Ill be to sore to move after fighting you if I get hit" the young cat turned his head to their sister as she approached, only to have his gaze draw to the older cats talking "Who knows. Probably some cousin or something" NovaCleaver
"No. We don't eat here" he insisted, before looking down at the kit "What do you say? Rest here or go home?" TigercloverCleaver
(Sorry yall finals and moving across states made things a bit difficult this last month)
Ripplewish the name was strange to her. “As do you.” Forcing the reply to Firetooth’s comment. She forced a smile which ended up as more as her lips pursed together into an awkward thin line.. “I see you have children?” She questioned noticing the kittens running about.

Butterkit blinked looking between the two of them and shrugged letting out a tiny yawn. Then she tilts her head as she notices someone looking at them. Butterkit paws gently at Desertwind and then points at the other cat trying to ask who it was.
