"oh please please pleaaaseee." Frostedkit purrs, rubbing her little head against her cheek when her grandmother's face touches her. "I can't wait to meet warriors." To the kitten, warriors were heroes, and she couldn't stand that she had to grow so much before she got to be one.
"Hey!" she growls as Crowkit knocks her over. When she gets up she lightly bites his ear playfully, not hard enough to hurt. "Be careful!"
"We'll see you soon Mama!" Quickly, the kitten runs to her mother, rubs against her legs, and then skips back to her grandma. She was ready to explore her home.

Gentlebreeze laughed softly at the kits' antics. With a sweep of her tail she whisked off some dirt that had stuck to Frostedkit's fur. "I see Graythorn resting in the sunlight by his den," she meowed. "Let's go visit your uncle first."
"Yay! Uncle Graythorn!" Crowkit mewed happily. Then sobering a little he added, "He's not gonna give us yucky stuff to eat, is he?" One of his first memories of the medicine cat was him bringing them fowl tasting leaves to eat.
"No, no, he won't," Gentlebreeze replied merrily. "Not unless you're not feeling well."
Sparrowkit wasn't as excited to see camp, couldn't they wait till later? Or when they're apprentices? What's so exciting about it all? Momma wanted them to stay close so why not just stay close? Ugh, the tom didn't get it. Glancing back towards the nursery, he followed his siblings anyways. He just wanted to continue his nap, what was so bad about that? But...maybe getting to see things was interesting, but not if he had to eat weird things that Uncle Greythorn gave them. Sparrowkit decided he'd put his paw down there and not do it. "I'm not eating anything weird. You can't make me, not even if I'm sick!" He really wasn't eating anything if it was like the leaves form before, those were just gross!

"There'll be nothing to worry about," Gentlebreeze replied softly to Sparrowkit. "I'll tell you what," she continued in a more hushed, covert tone. "If he tries anything I'll tell him to back off and he has to listen to me because I'm his mother." She brushed her cheek comfortingly against Sparrowkit's head.
"Those leaves weren't that bad," Shadedkit mewed to his brother. "I didn't really like 'em but they're not like eating mud." He had taken a lick of some mud that had formed in the back of the nursery when it had rained recently. He had done it from a dare by Crowkit. He wasn't going to do that ever again.
The elder gray tabby then began to lead the kits over to see Graythorn.

“Yeah, just weird tasting.” Frostedkit pads along her brothers and sister, a bounce to her step. She was so happy to enjoy the warm breeze, and the company of those she loved. And she was excited to see her uncle, too. Even if her brothers weren’t so keen. “Are the other clans scary Gramma?” Frostedkit had heard rumors of the other clans, but didn’t even know their names. Her little kit mind absorbed what she heard.
Sparrowkit blushed a little at the attention, he wasn't good with all eyes on him. "Okay...but you gotta tell him right away if tries it!" He wasn't eating anything Greythorn gave him, ever. The little kit would swear he could still taste the leaves from before. As he was walking a bug flew at him, a small stink bug beetle, but it came from nowhere and scared the kit so bad he screamed and fell over while trying to get away from the flying insect. "AHHHhhhh!!"

"Actually Frostedkit, the other clans are full of cats much like us," Gentlebreeze replied, remembering a time when she was uncertain about the other clans too. It wasn't until she was older and attended gatherings that her own concerns were allayed. "Some clans..." It was then Sparrowkit screamed in fear. "What's wrong?!" she said turning her attention to the distraught kit. She rushed over to give him an inspection.
"Oh, it's nothin'," Crowkit mewed. Right after his brother screamed, he spotted the insect buzz away harmlessly. "He's just ascared a' bugs. One flew in an' tried to eat him," he added teasingly.
At this point Graythorn noticed the group heading his way. Well there goes my rest time! He eyed the cats grumpily.
"I ain't scared of no bugs! It ju-just came out of nowhere!" Sparrowkit was blushing in embarrassment and shame that he'd been so easily sacred by something so small, even if it was freaky looking. The tom shoved at his brother, not pleased in the least about being teased. "You'd be scared too! You're a bigger crybaby than I am!" Maybe, he really wasn't sure but it felt like the best insult his little brain could come up with at the moment.

Crowkit almost tumbled to the ground from Sparrowkit's shove but regained his footing. "Am not!" he retorted. "I'm notta scardy kit like you! Oh look! There's an ant by your paw. Quick! Run 'n hide!" There was indeed an ant crawling around near Sparrowkit. It was carrying a small blade of grass in it's pincers.
Frostedkit furrows her brow and watches her brothers, shaking her head. “Mouse brains.” She thinks, staying close to her grandmother’s side. She peeks around and sees the little ant, her brown eyes glowing as she watched the scene unfurl between the bug and her brother. This should be interesting...

Gentlebreeze stopped walking when she heard the toms talking to each other. Kit games, she thought pleasantly. She did feel sorry for Sparrowkit however. She remembered being startled easily when she was younger. He'll grow out of it eventually like I did.
Furious little Sparrowkit pounced on his brother is his anger. He wasn't scared and he'd prove it by fighting back, quite literally. The tom tackled the other kit, hoping to pin his brother and prove to him that he wasn't scared of anything. But as kits, they didn't have great form or a general idea how fighting worked, so he didn't know that in a fight like this you needed to keep your claws sheathed. So Sparrowkit ended up making his pouncing tackle with claws out and fury in his eyes.
"Sparrowkit, what are you doing!" Frostedkit squealed, watching in horror as her brother tackled their sibling. "Sparrowkit, stop!" She demands, crouching down and wiggling her little hindquarters. She pounces on his back, trying to get him off of Crowkit. "Stop it! Both of you!" she tugs on Sparrowkit's ear.

"HEY!" Crowkit squealed in pain as he felt Sparrowkit's claws scratch him. So by instinct rather than by design, he used his claws against Sparrowkit in retaliation. Unfortunately some of his swipes caught Frostedkit as well. He scrabbled around managing to get out from underneath his brother. Blood trickled down from his chest and a fore leg as he tried to stand up but suddenly he was dangling in the air. Some cat had him by his scruff. His legs churned futilely as he watched uncle Graythorn grab Sparrowkit in the same manner. Suddenly he was spun around so he was looking back from where they had come. It was then that Gentlebreeze set him back down on the ground. "Never, ever use your claws when fighting with your brothers or any of your clanmates either," she gently chided. "B-but he used his first!" Crowkit complained.
"Listen to your grandmother," Graythorn growled after placing Sparrowkit back on the ground. "What she said applies to you too! What do you two want to do any way? Give me more work? Just look at you! Now I have to spend my valuable time patching up the both of you from some mouse-brained quarrel. Get into my den, both of you right now. And NO more fighting!" His eyes then fell on Frostedkit. "You go on with them. I'll need to check you out too."
Crowkit heard his uncle's rant and felt so embarrassed. Why did he have to say all that in front of the whole camp and on their very first time out of the nursery? He glanced around and saw several warriors watching them, some with amused looks on their faces. He felt like taking his claws and wiping off those looks but he just looked down at his feet.
The little tabby looks at her uncle with wide eyes and dips her head, making her way to the medicine cat den. She had ended up with a few scratches, but nothing too horrible. Her brown eyes glance back at her brothers, a huff releasing from her little form. “We gotta be extra extra good now. What if we can’t be apprentices because we were bad?” Fear struck her little voice.
(Sorry for the late reply!!! I opened this at work and forgot to respond)

(No problem ^^)
"Really?" Crowkit asked with wide eyes. "They can do that?" He wondered if what Frostedkit said was true. "But it wasn't my fault!"
"It was both your faults," Gentlebreeze meowed but not so harshly as before. "You need to be mindful of others no matter what they might do to you. Now come on, I'll help you find a nest in the medicine den. You too," she added to Sparrowkit.
“I hope not.” She furrows her brow in worry, hanging behind to walk right beside her grandmother’s paws. She was frankly a little scared of her brothers right now, and she did NOT want to end up with anymore scratches or bites. “Did momma and uncle ever get into fights like this?” Frostedkit asks absently, looking up at her grandmother after asking.

"Oh, a few," Gentlebreeze replied. "But I'd have to say it was more of Graythorn's doing than your mother's. He always wanted to prove himself." If the medicine cat heard her, he gave no indication. He continued on to the back of his den where he kept his supply of herbs.
Crowkit plopped himself down just inside the doorway. Five empty nests lined the sides of the medicine den indicating that the SummerClan cats were healthy right now, at least for the most part.
Frostedkit ducked in and made her way to one of the nests, plopping her little tabby behind into one. She looked around the den and breathed in deeply, smelling all the different herbs. Some seemed sweet, while others smelled spicy or bitter. Her uncle didn't really seem to be the talkative type, so she decided against asking any questions for now.

"Go over there," Graythorn growled to Crowkit, indicating the nest next to the one Frostedkit had chosen. He walked over to Frosted kit and inspected her scratches. "You're fortunate you didn't get hurt too much," he mewed. "Here, chew these up and then rub the pulp on your scratches." He pushed a few leaves into the nest in front of her.
"Now for you," he huffed as he turned his attention to Crowkit. After examining him thoroughly, he gave the tom the same kind of leaves and the same instructions. "You're scratches are a bit worse so they're going to take longer to heal. This should teach you not to fight with your siblings." Crowkit opened his mouth to reply but shut it up again when he got a look from Gentlebreeze.
