Here on Classic we understand that sometimes life can get difficult and we struggle. We may need to receive advice, vent, know that we are not alone in our difficult times, or even just have someone listen to what's going on in our lives. In light of these times, we have created the support threads below that are open to all of our members at any time.
Blazingbluejay moved the fur back around her ear, shyly peering over to Snakefang like he were her secret crush. They were mates, but there was still an element of head over heels affection for him that could never truly fade. Making her way over to him she could feel everyone's stares, the looks never truly went away. They didn't stare at her with skepticism or fear like they used to, this time it was almost with a curious awe. Interested in what made her different, what the gods changed about her when she was forced into an exorcism. She couldn't remember what happened, but she could just barely remember the god and goddess coming to her, she knew they spoke to her... Words were exchanged, but from there she didn't remember what they said or did to her to alter her to the point that she was no longer made up of the Sun Gods life force, but instead by the WinterClan's deities.
She had never been normal after all, but with Snakefang there was stability. Now that their kits had all managed to escape WinterClan during the gathering she could rest easy knowing they were safe from WinterClan's abuse. Even if she didn't know where they were, she knew that they were in a clan that could love them unlike the cold hearted warriors here.
"Hey stranger," Blazingbluejay said, coming up behind him when he was resting. Leaning back onto his flank she turned her head to look at him, a smile playing at her lips, "Want to go out and do something? Y'know, like a date."
"Hey, you," he responded, a smile on his face. Whenever he was resting, it was his time to take a mental break from clan life and all his responsibilities. There wasn't a doubt in his mind that Wintrystar now holds him in the lowest regards ever since the situation with his mate and their children and was put on duties no one else wanted. He was still loyal to WinterClan but his reputation with the clan's leader was tarnished. Now that his litter were gone and he didn't have to worry about their safety from those that were hostile towards them, he could focus on furthering his love for her. Ever since she was "reborn" as Blazingbluejay, something felt...different but it could have just been in his head. On the surface, she still felt for him as if nothing had happened. Regardless, of the name change, Bluejay was Bluejay and that's all that matter
"But of course. I would love nothing more than that!" Snakefang could feel a rush the rush of excitement he had felt before when they first started seeing one another and he could only feel his smile widen further. "What did you have in mind?"
pLuto (pining you because I know this threads old and maybe lost)
"Uhhh, I don't know dude, do you have any ideas?" Blazingbluejay asked cautiously with a sideways grin.
Like, sure Snakefang and her dated, but it was also dates that DayClan and WinterClan came up with. Then when they were dating more one on one their visits were always peaceful and nonchalant because constantly being apart made every moment special. Plus he was the first guy she ever dated and fell in love with and had kits with and basically first everything. She basically spent more of her life being trapped than actually living it so what the heck did people do on dates!?
"We could mess with people?" Blazingbluejay offered with an encouraging smile with an unearned amount of confidence in her answer. Plus the fact that her first answer was to create trouble it was no wonder she spent most of her life locked up in the first place. She was always looking for something to land her in hot water because it was the only activity she had ever done before she met Snakefang.
Snakefang shrugged. "I don't know. I figured you had something already planned?" He thought of something they could do for a moment until Blazingbluejay threw out an idea of her own, albeit not a very good one considering their predicament. "I don't think that's something people do for dates," he said with a chuckle and a shake of his head. "I can't imagine all the cats who would love to have an excuse to throw us in prison. We don't need to get into anymore trouble than we're already in."
And I'm sure you dont want to go back there, he thought.
"Or, hear me out on this one, we go for a walk? I know it sounds boring but we should keep a simple and sweet, eh?" he suggested innocently. "I mean, unless you had something else we could do that wouldn't cause a scene."
"No, no, a walk, no, that seems fancy. Like y'know, normal people stuff, that's fancy living snake boi," Blazingbluejay smirked, giving him a friendly shoulder nudge, "Very slick, let's do it."
Blazingbluejay fell into stride next to him, walking with dramatic purpose before grinning at him for intentionally acting like a weirdo to try and get a laugh out of him before walking normally once more. "Sooo, what did you uh, do while I was... Away?" She said with a smile, trying to say away for lack of better words of forcibly imprisoned and isolated.
Snakefang glanced over to Blazingbluejay and shook his head again with an amused smile. "Well, uh..." he paused for a moment, considering his words. For some reason, it was a tough question and hard for him to answer. He didn't want to say he was living life normally because then that would sound really bad. But that was essentially what he did, of course not to draw any unwanted attention. He did go visit her from time to time, even doing small things for their kits, but she already knew about that. Then a memory hit him. "While you were away, Wintrystar came up with this brilliant idea to have arranged marriages. And, before you say anything, no, we didn't get married. I dont want you thinking I've been disloyal or anything." Hopefully she didn't take what she said the wrong way.
"Oh is that how all of the rock brained cats somehow have suitable and intelligent mates," Blazingbluejay purred with amusement before pausing, "But our kits don't have mates so did she... Forbid them from having mates?"
She hadn't really taken the time to wonder about WinterClan's strange culture, after all she had never even joined WinterClan in the first place to know what was normal and what was strange. But one thing she didn't know was that Wintrystar had essentially declared marrying their kits a shameful act that so far no WinterClan cat had wanted to be associated with.
The tom nodded. "Yeah but Wintrystar barred our children from having mates inside of the clan. She deemed their blood was 'too disgusting to mix' with the others." He rolled his eyes in frustration before continuing. "Honestly, at this point, it will probably be best if they left WinterClan and joined another clan." After sitting down and thinking about it, there weren't other options to better their kids' lives, right? He turned to face Blazingbluejay. "What do you think?"
Blazingbluejay moved her paw over his, "I think... Ugh, I hate to say it, but I think we should talk to Wintrystar. See what we can do for them and if there is truly nothing, then yes, they should leave. But..." Her green and golden gaze turned to him, "I wanted to raise a family with you and neither of us got to do that. I kind of want to ask her what would happen if we had kits again, would she just mistreat them again or would we be able to have a happily ever after and raise a family here? I guess I just want to know if our happiness having a family here is truly impossible or not. What do you think about that? About asking her?"
He could feel anger welling up inside of him, the memories of how Wintrystar treated Bluejay and his kits flooded back in. There was so much he missed, especially as a first time parent. He felt robbed, deprived of the chance to perform his duty as a father properly. What more did he have to say to Wintrystar? At this point, he wouldn't dismiss the idea of leaving WinterClan himself.
But as much as he didn't want to admit, maybe Bluejay was right and they should at least ask. Who knows? Maybe, now that Bluejay was "cleansed", they could have and live a normal family life, something they should have had in the beginning. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. This is no way to act, Snakefang, not with Bluejay.
Opening his eyes, he met hers. "You know, that's a difficult thing for me to agree to, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to talk to Wintrystar. "I'll schedule a time for the three of us to talk," he finally responded. "But for now, though, can we just enjoy ourselves? It's been a real long time since we've had this much time together," he purred, licking her forehead.
"Yeah, I guess you're fun too," Blazingbluejay teased, her hip bumping into his flank, "You know what I was dying to tell you the whole time I was locked up though? I never noticed what a cute butt you had," She smirked her silver pelt kissing up against his, "Just saying, don't blame me too hard if I can't keep my paws off you. But, I'll try my best, for you, just so we have a normal date that isn't me kissing your brains out. Although the whole walking date is new to me, usually something would happen like a clan invading or evil people attack, this is highly unusual for me," She half teased, but half meant. Her entire life had been anything, but normal, going on a simple walk where nothing happened was almost nerve wrecking. At least when something bad happened she didn't have to be on guard wondering about the unknown.
"Uh...thank you?" he said, his cheeks turning hot with embarrassment. Really, it was the first time he had got a compliment about his...butt? He couldn't help but laugh and gently bumped her back. "You know what? I actually wouldn't fight back on that. This date can turn into anything you want it to be," he said with a wink. "You're free now, Bluejay! There's nothing to worry about, at least, not while I'm around. And I'm going to be around A LOT more so you better get used to it." The tom pressed closer to his mate, his tail intertwining with hers. "Do you know how much I missed you?"
(I think I finally organized my life where I can once again regularly reply on Classic. Sorry it's not a long one, when there's no conflict in a rp I mainly just do short dialogue xD pLuto)
"To the moon and back?" Bluejay guessed, biting her claw with a sneaky cute grin. Leaning herself into him she smirked up at him, he completed her... Hopefully she completed him too.
(Haha its okay to say you don't like typing up paragraphs y'know, I understand)
He chuckled at her innocent guess. "Not at all. Think even further than that," he responded as he embraced Bluejay. "We should definitely make the most of the time we have now, shall we?"
