"I'm telling you, there's something fishy about these tunnels." Sioux's chirps echoed off the walls as the black she-cat led the few curious souls intrigued by her words. After Funk almost fell into the ground, the League had been living in the tunnels. But there was something suspicious about them. Something very few could put their paws on. The mystery itched at the back of Sioux's mind, and it finally manifested in her leading a few deeper into these tunnels than they had ever been.
The tunnels were ominously quiet, with not even the scurrying of a vole's feet to be heard. Primal Instinct had already cleaned the place out in their hunger, but it felt inhuman. Like they weren't supposed to be there in the first place. The tunnels wove like the capillaries in the lungs of a huge beast, and Sioux wondered if the ground shook under her at one point. Suddenly, she lifted her tail to call them to stop. "Do you all... smell that?" She asked, chipper as ever despite the atmosphere. How could she not, the smell made her stomach growl. It was too scrumptious of a smell, drawing them in like moths to a flame.
"It smells delicious!" Viatrix-kun purred, taking a few steps toward the alluring scent but coming to a stop at Sioux's shoulder. The young she-cat didn't know the tunnels very well and had just enough self restraint to not run ahead without someone else going first, "Don't you think we should investigate? I bet we'll find something that even mama--- I mean, Innocentia, will love!"

(i had a plot for this but i forgot so we're gonna wing it)
It didn't make any sense though. Why would the tunnels hold something like this from them for so long? How did no else find these traces before? Still, based on the symphony of growling stomachs behind her, Sioux knew this was something they couldn't pass up on. It was all too good to be true, but Viatrix-kun had a point. Looking down at her then back at the rest of the cats, she nodded. "Yeah, but let's exercise caution." Even as she said it, her legs shook with effort. A good meal was perfect bait for whatever was ahead of them, and it was working exactly as planned.
"Kay," Viatrix-kun replied as she proceeded to bound down the tunnel without a care in the world. The young gray she-cat had little to fear in the scheme of things given who her mothers were: If she wasn't home when she was supposed to be, they would without a doubt come to her rescue, no matter what. She opened her mouth to taste the air and her mouth began to drool, "The scent is getting stronger this way! Hurry up, Sioux!"
